We had lunch all of us at the table tipped her one only had cash and I guess didn't leave a tip, she FOLLOWED us out the back door and yelled at him about not leaving a tip, this was so unprofessional. I get being upset getting stiffed, but the reaction was poor- considering his reasoning he thought the tip was added to the bill. none the less gave the biggest ICK factor. Also the other three of us left a good tip for the table so she still made plenty of money. One star because food was good. We came as a group of 5 tonight wanting to get together with our nephew whose dad recently passed. Between us all we have come here for years on and off and food has always been great. This time was different Waitress seemed nice until she wasn't. Everyone left tips except for one in our party. As we were walking to our car she proceeded to yell out their back door that she didn't appreciate being stiffed and that they work for tips. I'm sorry?! Last I checked Tips are not required! They are an added bonus of good service and to show appreciation. Should they be given... Yes! But for her to come call out the one individual for not leaving a tip is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional! She did not know his situation. ESPECIALLY when the rest of the table left enough. There are plenty of times where we will go with family members and based off of they have cash maybe they don't have enough so they will Venmo us and we will add their tip to our checks. We were going to call and speak with the manager but it sounds like these are the type of people that run this place. Unprofessional and shitty attitudes! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, Our server was not attentive to our table, and would forget to bring drinks we asked for. It was busy and understood it could take a while to bring our food and drinks, but we had to ask for simple things like water, napkins and utensils more than 3 times. Once we paid and headed out we were stopped by a different server and complained we didn't tip "them" well, as if she served us, and kept verbally attacking us. The City Club has a large local following. It's a decent venue, if you go there with the understanding that the food is average and the drinks are less expensive, making for a cheap night out with friends and family. If you visit during the weekend evenings, you will likely have a pretty fair wait time. When people get a table, they tend to camp out, which is a bit of a bummer when you can see groups waiting to get in. Service was good, but they were short staffed. The wait staff was one speed below running and I was really impressed at how hard they work. Unfortunately, because they were understaffed it was a challenge to get another drink or add to your order. (This is no fault of the food service staff) If you go, try their wings. They are smaller than what you might be use to, but the sauce is good and there are plenty to share with your table. Will visit again and give them another try. read more

Been coming here for YEARS. Had a horrible experience, where server was rude to us from the beginning, took a long time to bring water, drinks, bowls for our wing scraps. So we tipped what we thought she deserved. She got upset and asked why we were sh**ty tippers? Lol maybe because you didn't give us good service. Manager didn't even care about our feedback. This place is a joke. Disappointed on how this situation was handled. Drinks are so cheap because there is hardly any alcohol in them, and food takes a while to be brought to you. From the grumpy signs about having to get a drink to the waitress barking at us about getting our ids out before we even got in the up the stairs. I know you gotta check them. City Club is the best, never had a bad dinner experience and the waiters/waitresses are always very kind but usually always extremely busy. The wings and fries are a fave but their sandwiches and other apps are all great too. I'm pretty sure we see new Beatles memorabilia every time we come in. We did breakfast today for the first time. It was quiet and the prices were great $3 mimosa or Bloody Mary and $8 for a breakfast plate. 20/10 recommended. read more

My five star rating is because 1) I LOVE their wings. 2) They offer amazing deals on drinks each night and other food discounts. This place gets pretty busy, but we've always been able to find a seat. Not only do I love their wings but everything I've had here has been good. I also am a big fan of their huge chicken strips. They are always super large and piping hot. Service is always hit and miss here, but it's because they get so damn busy. Just be patient and enjoy the company you're with! You have to be 21 years or older but it's worth it to not have kids around you all of the time. This place is small and packed so you don't need little ones running around. Also, Utah has weird liquor laws. But you'll run into that anywhere here. read more

So, this place is a laughing stock. First of all my girlfriend told me that it was a Beatles memorabilia place. When we got there I heard no Beatles songs, but I did see a bunch of comical memorabilia on the walls. Notably the " authentic Beatles wig" and the Beatles wood saw. As for the music playing overhead....not a single Beatles song to be heard, rather a bunch of deep tracks from terrible hair band songs I would rather forget. Now for the food: I ordered wings and potstickers. Instead of getting a few good wings I got about 30 to 45 terrible tiny baby wings. Half of which broke off in my mouth as I was chewing and I had to spit it out in fear of getting stabbed in the middle of the night by a chicken shard. She got queso and chips, and when we first sampled the case so it was stone cold. After her first bite of chicken strips she looked at me and I knew she was ready to go. Anyone who thinks this might have been a good response, one look in her eyes and you knew I was not getting lucky. The City Club that I have been familiar with since the early 90's is no longer the club I remember. I won't say that I have built up frequent flyer miles here, but I have gone there probably once every couple years for the better part of two decades. Even back when you had to have a membership to go in we enjoyed going there for the atmosphere and the food. The salad I have enjoyed over the years is not worth the $10 now, a plate of iceberg lettuce and some frozen peas with shredded cheese. But the kicker was when the waitress asked us what we wanted to drink and we said two waters. She just stopped and looked at us with a, you have to sh!tting me look. I asked if she wanted us to leave since we weren't ordering any alcohol. She said no we will serve you, but we are a bar you know. I don't know if this is a new attitude because of the strain that Covid has had on establishments, but I do know that we will be happy to respect their new found efforts to push the "bar" status and ignore the club. I used to go the the City Club on a regular basis many years ago... like in the late 80s and throughout the 1990s. I stopped going simply because of life and schedule changes. So here we are 24 or 25 years later and we decide to go there for their wings, a staple during our regular visits back in the day. The place is still the same! It was great to look at all of the Beatles memorabilia, and I love the atmosphere... It's casual, but not a dive. It's tastefully decorated, and it's just plain fun! The music is varied (not Beatles music, but you can request songs), and it's just an all around nice little joint for a late lunch, or dinner and drinks. They are reasonably priced, and friendly. We had the wings looking for some nostalgia... this time they didn't seem quite as good as I remembered, but that could have been an anomaly. I need to go back and try them again! The burgers and other stuff we saw going out to other tables looked amazing! If you're looking for a nice, reasonably priced place for some food and drinks, you've gotta give the City Club a try! It's an iconic mainstay on 25th Street in Ogden, and there's generally fairly decent parking in the back. This isn't a crazy high volume dance bar, it's just a casual pub-style eatery and bar with a pretty decent menu, and the music is great! The TVs will have whatever sports events you want to watch, and the staff is very accommodating. They will check on you often, and make sure you're enjoying yourself. I love the City Club! So sad...my sister wanted to introduce us to City Club because she heard great things..after buying shirts for us all and finding City club, waiting for 30 minutes we were told by the waitress "Your @#$* me, your taking a table and not drinking"..What my money is not equal to someone who drinks?...I drink diet coke, and I can guarantee you- that it is cheaper for the bar to serve me Diet Coke then anything with alcohol and I'll pay what ever to get my diet coke! But after the rudeness of the waitress we paid $20 for 4 sodas gave the margarita to the next table and left...they WERE NOT EVEN PLAYING BEATLES MUSIC. The food and service here was amazing! Their Bloody Mary's and Smurf Berry's were both delicious and fairly cheap, and while the burgers were more expensive they were more than worth it! The decor was interesting- it was fun to look at and added to the ambience of the room. The service was a little slow but we did go on a Friday night and it seemed like there were only 2 servers for the whole bar. It's been quite a long time since we have stopped here for food. We stopped coming after getting yelled at (literally, by a very ornery woman) for simply calling to see if they were doing takeout during the pandemic. We wanted to support local business but not have to be inside... certainly didn't deserve the treatment she gave. After our experience here this time, it may have to come off my list of places to support. Our service was pretty terrible. We had to wait unnecessarily long times between when we got there, getting a menu, getting water or drinks, getting food, and finally how long it took to get the check. The service was just terrible; for example, The server argued with a friend of mine when he ordered a second beer, the same as his first. The server brought the wrong beer and before it was out of the servers hand, my buddy knew it was incorrect and informed the server. The server chose to argue that it was the same. My buddy then just refused it. Then when the server came back to check on us, my buddy had found the beer he had on the menu and pointed it out to the server, the server then responded that he knew that's what the drink was... SMH. To top it off,, we asked for our check and the server appeared to go get it, about 30 minutes later, they came back to see if we were good (as we were obiously no longer eating or drinking by this point), of course we had to tell them that we needed our check once again... We ended up being in there for much much longer than we needed to be. The food was pretty average and not nearly as good as I remember it once being. read more
