Have only been here for food but vibe is chill and spacious. We came here around 2 pm on a Sunday. Classic Q is a billiards bar with plenty of bar and table seating. Billard pricing is $15 per hour $20 min spend for food. Since we only came here for food and drinks, we just sat at a booth. I got the whiskey Diet Coke and hubby got the $5 can cocktail. We also got the potato skins to share ($18). Whiskey Diet Coke was not too strong, can cocktail was mango Tajin, interesting flavor combo. The potato skins were a bit greasy for my liking but would hit hard after too many drinks. Overall service is fast and vibe is chill. Would love to try billiard next time! read more

We came here with a small group to watch the World Cup finals. There is plenty of parking in the lots on the side but you can also uber here. They did have uber/lyft pickup at the front door area too. They do have a strict 21 carding rule with no outside food/drinks/items so leave them in your car or they will not allow you in. The place is a typical sports bar with TV's of different sizes mounted in every wall and one projector mounted in the backroom. The TV quality is vary however with the best view and newest TVs in the center area in the back. They do also have pool tables available in another backroom and outdoor seating too. But most were closed off for the World Cup Finals event. The tables are ALL first come first serve so you have to come early for these special sports events! They do open early even though the posted hours said 12pm they actually opened around 11am when the line begins forming. We got a small high top table near the bar for our group of 5. The servers are very fast and attentive here even though they only have a few! They literally make rounds to check on every single table so you're very well taken care of! For the world cup they have a small menu available including all beers on tap and select cocktails. But you could order off menu if you remember the regular menu items. We got the California Burger which was HUGE and a very standard burger served with fries. You literally needed to eat this with a fork and knife it was that big. The meat was cooked well but tasted very standard without much seasoning. Chipotle Chicken Wrap: We upgraded regular fries to sweet potato fries. The wrap was also huge and tasty and probably the healthiest option available. Chicken Wings: Also very flavorful with your choice of sauce. Very standard bar wings with your classic ranch and celery sticks. The atmosphere was VERY loud inside packed full of football fans from both sides. They had set specific areas for Argentina and Spain with flags and jerseys set out with folding tables for overflow seating. Everyone was super respectful regardless of the side and supported each other even on the losing team. This place has a REALLY small bathroom with literally one toilet stall and urine in the mens, and two stalls in the women's so the bathroom line is always long! Overall, a fun place to come hangout to watch a game and enjoy some OK bar food. But the service is excellent and we'll likely come back for future sporting events or just to hangout with friends. read more

Stopped by this billiards spot recently for lunch and was seriously impressed. The atmosphere is laid-back but still feels upscale enough for a night out with friends or drinks after work. Biggest highlight: they offer FREE billiards Monday-Friday until 4 PM with a $15 lunch purchase which is honestly one of the best deals around. Normally it's $15 per hour with a $20 food/beverage minimum. Service was attentive and friendly. There are full-size and bar sized tables and they recently redid the felt last week so everything rolls super smooth and plays great. You can tell they actually maintain the equipment instead of just throwing tables in a corner like some places do. On the downside, i wasn't a huge fan of my expresso martini which didn't actually have expresso in it. They use a coffee liquor so it tasted like diluted coffee. Awesome spot!! Came in on a Friday during lunch and it's a total sports bar billiards bar vibe. We got drinks right away which were simple beer and wine and delicious. We ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and fries and it was just phenomenal!! The chicken and salad is chopped up together and mixed so every bite is so perfect! The fries are sooo good and in a time where every fry tastes identical these are potatoey with a nice seasoning. The Classic Q seems like the place to be for post-work drinks in Irvine. I'm not even sure if they run happy hour specials, but this bar was crowded and lively at 6pm on a Thursday. I was definitely expecting a more laid back atmosphere, but I'm not complaining. Overall, I thought the set up here was pretty good. Pool tables, plenty of TVs to catch sporting events, and a nice variety of both food and beer on the menu. Prices were a little higher than I'd like, but service was friendly and efficient. I would not be opposed to coming back at some point, though it probably wouldn't be my first option. read more

Stopped by the Classic Q after work since it was nearby. Upon walking in, it seemed like a very typical sports bar. The name seems fitting, very "classic" as it's nothing spectacular nor horrendous. The service is really dependent on the bartender. I was greeted by two people when I visited, a very kind woman and an overly-talkative man. The woman was great, she checked on my partner and I an appropriate amount of times and offered help when needed. On the other hand, the man would keep interrupting conversations between myself and my partner. I appreciate it when people can read the room. Back to a more positive note, the food and drinks were solid. The woman bartender did a great job on making drinks and offered to adjust ours if needed. We tried to play pool here tonight and arrived two hours before closing and the man who was working the front door was extremely rude and didn't let us play even though the bartender said it was allowed and already took our card and I'd to reserve the table. The very unprofessional guy proceeded to to yell in a really obnoxious and rude tone "no more pool" from across the the room and came over and physically took the balls and ques from us. Mind you there was a couple playing on the other table who played 5 additional games while we sat a drank our beers that we honestly wished we never order. I guess this place in in the habit of turning away money. We felt bad for Chris the bartender because he was nice but the other guy was so rude that it completely killed our vibe. I came in for a Fantasy Baseball draft. I arrived around 12:30 and the place was almost all mine. A nice play list from the 90's had me reminiscing about great memories and a few regrets. Melody (Mel) came over and announced she would be the server for our group. After going over what was on tap, I asked for the Space Dust IPA. It was new for me and I love trying different libations. Mei was very attentive throughout and she gave me some food recommendations later on. I opted for the Blackened Chicken Sandwich and it came with TONS of fries. I enjoyed it very much but I could not polish off the taters. All in all, a very nice Sunday afternoon was had by all the participants. This is the first time in the months that we've been coming here that she was very rude in asking our party to "be quiet" when playing a game of pool. After informing her that she could have asked the ladies in our party to be quiet in a more polite manner, she denied it and proceeded to be rude to us. As an individual with experience as a manager, she did not handle it in a professional manager and proceeded to walk away after we told her she could have handled it in a polite manner. Service is impeccable: Paul was an absolute dear and our server Katie was absolutely fantastic. I like how unassuming this place is. It's tucked away in a random strip mall on MacArthur and it's easy to talk shop with associates or to simply catch up with friends before after work hours. The place is spacious and there are plenty of TVs and pool tables. I can't say anything about the food as we just ordered drinks and talked. That said, I was really impressed by the level of service at a billiards spot/sports bar.
