This place was fine. Came on a Tuesday at 5pm during happy hour which runs until 7pm. Each day they have a different food special as well as their happy hour menu. Same goes for drinks. If you're not a local or regular they can definitely tell. It was pointed out to me several times. I originally came because it says it was a Black owned bar but I asked the bartenders and they didn't seem to know which isn't a deal breaker but it's what it says on google. Ordered the Mexican lager for six bucks which wasn't half bad and a Hawaiian pizza. Wasn't life changing but I've had much worse. 8 pieces at 11 bucks that was shared by me and my boy lined my stomach and that's really all I was hoping for. I love it with grilled onions and their crispy tater tots are bomb! They also have a chicken sando which I haven't had, but friend got it and said it's good. Sometimes I come on Tues for their $2.25 tacos and quesadillas... My dog brought me here on a Sat afternoon once. (He always brings me here on our walks - party animal). I had their $22 Two drink and Sammy combo that Sat afternoon. The Philly cheesesteak, fries & two kombuchas on tap hit the spot. As you can see, I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I frequent this place all the time. It's like my Cheers, but better! Came here last Saturday night to celebrate my birthday and I have mixed emotions. The night would have been perfect if it wasn't for the DJs. The bar staff and security were superb. Honestly some of the nicest bartenders I've encountered. T When it came to the music, they had 3 DJs who all played EDM. Two of the 3 refused to take any requests and pretty much ignored us despite me having a party of 25-30 people that for majority of the night was 70% of the bar population. One of the DJs did throw in some hip hop music which got everyone excited and on the dance floor. Then we he switched back to EDM he said "that's all your getting". Just a really bizarre attitude from DJs that I've never experienced before. Usually the DJs are responsible for setting the vibe and keeping people happy and moving.. they seemed to be really pleased with their own music and didn't care if anyone else liked it. Huge buzz kill. I was hoping to dance all night and enjoy my party but we all closed out and left early because of the music and the attitude we received. read more

Went to Our Bar for the first time last night for their Halloween party. It was a good party, with great music and DJ. The bartenders were bad, ignoring me and few other people for insanely long time, while serving a lot of people who arrived after us. The only male bartender with his tongue out the whole night was absolutely the worst, a total douchebag. I spent about 30 minutes leaning on to the bar, not even a single eye contact or recognition. There was another patron, male, about my height 6'3" who was equally ignored by this fool, clearly on purpose. Our Bar was a decent place and a fun Halloween party, but the male bartender decreased the overall experience tremendously. I bet I am not the only person that noticed his non professional behavior and he is the reason I won't return back. read more

This must be an Orange County (or OC as the locals call it) thing, they have kombucha on tab. I am not joking, instead of the rudely awakening empty carbs of a beer, one may order a gut healthy kombucha. A type of fermented tea that replenishes the beneficial bacterial flora in our digestive system. How cool is that for a Friday night? Unfortunately, I did not get to try the food here. I've heard good things. They have a pretty cool event room, for birthdays and other celebrations alike. There is a pool table, some pinball machines, darts, photo booth --- presumably used to making out? ) On a Saturday evening, place gets packed, very packed. Come early before the line wraps around the corner. Casual or sexy, dress up or down, cow girl or classy, not sure exactly what is the style, I guess we can call it lay back. We love Our Bar! Been here a few times since moving to Costa Mesa. We were searching for our regular place to go - and this quickly became that. Nice selection of beers and surprisingly good food. Service is friendly though slow at times. And the bar has fun "modern" ish decor One note - kinda becomes clubbish at night on what I think is fridays and Saturdays - we didn't expect this changeover and experienced it for the first time and it caught us off guard. We brought in a large group of people here (35) and pretty much everyone enjoyed the experience. Happy hour is amazing here. The servers are doing their best and made a wide variety of cocktails, plus the beer and wine kept flowing. Loved the unique food here also - the ceviche was awesome. Came in here with my gf wanting to try something new since we live nearby. Creepy old guy by the pool tables stalked us throughout the night and later grabbed her rear. Owner was taking shots with what I can only assume are the regulars. As you can imagine we didn't feel wlecome. Food was ok, we got canned drinks. My girlfriend showed me this place and it has become our monthly fun night place to go. DJ Dave was awesome! Me and my girlfriends had drinks, danced to the EDM, and had a blast. The bar is set up nicely with a dance floor, hangout area with arcades, outside patio, and the bathroom is clean..bar tenders are quick to fill our drinks and they made us feel that this is our bar. Ended up in Costa Mesa (from Brea) to get my tires replaced from my trusty Grand Prix, so hubbers and I decided to stop by the new (at least to me) Our Bar. Hi, I'm Jen. I worked at Skosh for several years. Probably (more than likely) pretty drunk. Anyhow, now that I work and reside in Brea, and have also become a mother, I never make it down to CM. It was necessary to take advantage of this opportunity to check out my old "home", and what had become of it. Walking in, I was floored. What a beautiful change. The bar is long and welcoming. The back room has become a game room of sorts. The restrooms have expanded and are very well kept. Rather than compare old and new, I'll focus on the experience. Social distancing was adequately adhered to, and the bartender was wearing a mask. I forgot her name. Beautiful blonde with awesome artwork on her arms. Anyhow, she was quick to greet us and promptly provided our drinks. Pretty simple drinks (jamo and ginger) so no need to focus on execution. We were hungry, so we took a glance over the menu. Everything sounded great, which made decision making difficult. That is when she told us it was taco Tuesday. SOLD! We ordered chicken, steak, and carnitas tacos. We ordered 5 total, and devoured them like we hadn't eaten in days. So good! Hubby was going to order more, but decided to save his waistline. All in all, the service was excellent. Food was fantastic. Place is lovely. Atmosphere was exceptional. Price was reasonable. I'll definitely be sure and visit again when I can. Probably on a Tuesday. read more
