I would caution anyone considering this company. The quality of the cleaning itself was only adequate and the company continually raised rates without explanation, which was frustrating given the already mediocre service. The most troubling issue, however, was that one of their cleaners stole an expensive watch from my dresser drawer. When I immediately brought this to the company's attention, they made a weak effort to investigate and did not offer to compensate me. Instead they dropped me from their service as if nothing had happened. Between the inconsistent cleaning, constant price increases, and lack of accountability in a serious situation, I cannot recommend this company to anyone. UPDATE: I did immediately file a police report, but the police declined to take further action. The fact remains: my watch went missing while TCA's employees were in my home, and the company took no real steps to resolve it. Their "investigation" was limited to asking the cleaners if they took it. In my view, this is not how a responsible company handles theft that occurs under their care. read more

Absolutely frustrated with this service. The last three cleanings were either done poorly or they did not show up at all with no call. Very badly managed. Was told I should "use the app". That's not the way to put the customer first. Don't use them if you need a dependable crew. When I did last get a cleaning they breezed through without doing the level of detail advertised. We've used Cleaning Authority for several months and have found them to be reliable and thorough. Once a room was missed by accident and they promptly sent someone out to correct it. They always arrange the stuffed animals on our kids bed so cute after they make it and the sinks and mirrors sparkle. Shout out to Lucille and Kaitlin for this month's cleaning. With the recent warm weather and both dog and kids, they tackled our challenging floors and even got the hackie sack down from the ceiling fan in our great room. read more

We have our house cleaned monthly by the Cleaning Authority. they use environmentally friendly cleaning products. They send out teams of employees to complete the tasks. they have a checklist that is used for each cleaning that keeps them on track. Out cleaning team of Nancy Alicea and Maria Martin are just the best. They are friendly and efficient and go above and beyond in their cleaning. Pricing is done on the number of areas that they have to clean. It has always seemed reasonable to us. Their office is responsive when contacted and they do their best to help when problems arise. They're just not very good. They looked like they were cleaning, but nothing ever got clean. The people were nice, that's the only reason they received an extra star. Going by their work, I'd give them 1 star. I've used their service every two weeks for approximately 1/2 year and they made their last visit today 2/2/17. I have to re-clean or re-organize half of what they do each visit. They claim they send managers around from time to time to check up on their crews to make sure they're doing a good job - on their initial visit they made it look good by sending someone around, since then I haven't seen ANYONE. The employees seem to want to go through the motions and get out of the house as fast as possible and that was obvious. They also have problems with instructions. Today, one of the last straws was 2.5 hours of paper work I now have to completely re-do. I asked them THREE TIMES. Please don't touch the kitchen table, leave the paperwork, DO NOT TOUCH IT...THREE TIMES. I walked into my office for a bit, came back out and my work had been destroyed. Some of their employees don't speak English very well, but these two acknowledged to me that they understood what I was saying each time I asked. I'm done. read more

I hired this company in May, 2013 for a monthly cleaning. The first 2 cleanings seemed OK, although I noticed a couple things, no "clean house smell" when I arrived home from work, I also wasn't impressed that they didn't empty my coffee pot. Then my kids moved home, the house got a little dirtier and by the 3rd clean, I called afterward to complain about dirty floors, bathtub, mirrors and dust. They sent the crew back the same day with a supervisor and finished the work, apologizing all the way. The next clean, (their last) was even worse. Didn't dust several surfaces, mirrors only partially done and the vacuuming wasn't good, how do you screw up vacuuming? Anyway ,first time shame on them, second time, shame on me. The 4 times I have had the cleaners out I have had to call and complain twice. The cleaners cut corners, they do not scrub the floors with a toothbrush as you state in your materials, heck they didn't even wipe up my master bathroom floor. I will not ever recommend this service to anyone I know. Also beware if you write a review that they do not like they call you and ask you to change it. They do not want people to know the truth about how bad their cleaners really are. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER! Before they even started cleaning the house, a guy walked in and demanded that we pay the full amount and told us that he would leave without cleaning if we didn't pay immediately. The previous day, when my grandmom spoke over the phone to the owner, he told her that they charge 175$ for 4 hours of cleaning. The next day, the guy walks into the house before cleaning and demands 344$ for 4 hours. It wasn't even about the money, he spoke very rudely to my grandmom and the ladies who came to clean the house had serious attitude problems. We have had The Cleaning Authority for several years and it has mostly worked out OK. We originally had them come every other week and about a year ago changed to every week. I love have everything cleaned at once and also the discipline of having to put away the shoes, clear all the old magazines a & clutter, etc., each week so that the surfaces are available to clean. I will tell you, I have spent thousands of dollars with this company, and when I complained, they didn't care to work anything out. At least I got my money back for the awful last clean. FYI; the two people that normally cleaned were great. I recently went down from having them clean twice a month, to once a month, the price went up to $200.00 a time. Since hiring the company one and a half years ago I have changed my clean date 3 times for various reasons. Not unreasonable. So, this time the fill-in cleaners (not my regular workers), came on the off day. The cleaner said, "they would not clean the bedroom and the master bath for the $200.00." I told her, it had always been done. She showed me a sheet stating the bed and bath are extra. I again said, it had always been done. Remember, I've spent thousands of dollars with this company, and was happy with my regular workers. The fill-in cleaner called the "manager," to explain this. I thought this would settle it, at least for this time, and we could work it out later. But the "manager," called my home to argue with me. I told the "manager," it had always been done, and besides there were a number of areas on that sheet, that I never had them clean, because it wasn't necessary. However the bedroom and bath were a must, and they were always done. I told her, at this time we should take this into consideration. She said, "they don't trade areas and if I wanted it done I would have to pay more." I said that isn't right. Besides when I went to monthly, my cost went up substantially with no extra time allowed for cleaning. The cleaners always had between 4-5 houses to clean a day, no matter if they were monthly or weekly! When I confronted them on that, she said, "they don't look at the time it takes, and they don't barter areas." I said at this time it would be better to listen to what the customer is saying, and work it out later. But I felt strongly that the cost was not reasonable without the master bed and bath done. I asked to have the owner call on Monday. Next thing I know the, "manager" is in my driveway! I told her I did not have time to argue anymore, (I was getting ready to have a party). She continued into my home and told me it would be $200.00 without the bedroom and bath. It was so funny with she was leaving and telling me this - she was standing next to a leaf on the supposedly clean floor. When I went up stairs after they left, I realized they had not cleaned. The owner called on Monday and clearly looked at this as my fault, and as with the others, didn't care to work anything out, just wanted me to stop talking. Clearly he doesn't care how customers are treated. He clearly did not call with a plan to work anything out, and he asked ME what he should do. I didn't know, but I said, "since the house was left dirty, (even the down stairs, ex. leaves, and areas not even mopped, tables not wiped), I don't think I should pay for Friday." His reply, I'll give you your money back, and won't do business with you anymore (I'll take you off the schedule). Remember even with the owner, there is no concern for the customer, and they will dump you if you complain! Also when you sigh up for the service they will tell you a, "manager" will come and check how the cleaning is going, this isn't true, this is the only time in a year and a half I even saw a manager! Maybe if they did check how the cleaning was going, this wouldn't have happened. And the women that regularly cleaned my house were great. I have to say that being treated this way, after spending thousands of dollars with the company, was really upsetting. read more

I have been using Cleaning Authority for the past year and a half, and am very happy with them. I work full time, and the last thing I want to do is spend every minute of my spare time cleaning! Our house is very large, and gets pretty dirty with teenage boys and dogs! It gives me peace of mind to know that it will get a thorough cleaning 2x/month. They have been very reliable and flexible with us, and nothing beats coming home to a freshly cleaned house (even though it's short lived)! To me, that is worth every penny! I had a very negative experience with this company. After my first cleaning, I came home to find the entryway carpet still full of sand and grass. Additionally, the faucet in the laundry tub was left running and between the sinks so that floor was beginningto flood when I returned home. When I came home after the third and final cleaning, the house again had not been cleaned well: dirty bathroom faucet, dirty entry rug, cat fur hunks still on carpet. And finally, when I received the bill on my credit card, they had not honored the 50$ coupon I presented to the supervisor when we set up my service. I am highly frustrated and disappointed with this company. read more

I have been using the Cleaning Authority every other week for a year or so and they do a very good job for me. (Yay for Team #22!!!). They leave a list each time of exactly what detailed cleaning they will do, in addition to the big stuff. I'm not here when they clean, so when I get back home, it's like the elves were here and did all of the work. There has been a thing or two on the list from time to time that was skipped, and they just cannot put the throw rugs back in the right places, but overall I have been very happy to have the help. I am paying half the price for twice as much work compared to my old cleaner, who was not insured or bonded. I would definitely recommend them. read more
