Great experience. DKI helped us after another company ruined our house and committed fraud. They are honest and helpful. Like any contractor things do not always go as planned or perfectly but I trusted them in my home- they were allowed a key. It took many many months for a rebuild and payment but we finally have everything resolved. Most of the delays were on the insurance end and others were communicated as they occurred. The team I worked with was amazing. I highly recommend they are IICRC certified and shared their license information. If I ever have water damage or mold problems again these are the guys I will call, who I trust and recommend. *** update 2019***** Reducing review to 3 stars. We had water damage again- NOT in the same part of our home as a few years ago- this time it's my kitchen and an important part of my home. During the rebuild process some additional items which weren't considered were found and they forgot to submit paperwork. To be truthful the missing items should have been identified initially and my first follow up should have prompted paper work to be submitted- it took a third email after the insurance said they didn't get paperwork.. things happen- if these guys didn't do such a good job previously I'm not sure I'd still be a customer. I have been using Rapid Restoration for a few years now... We own 5 rental properties, and rapid restoration has helped us with water damage, carpet cleaning and deodorizing, plumbing issues, etc. I like them because they respond right away, and since I now have an established relationship with them, and have enough experience to trust their work, I feel more at peace when a crisis happens at one of my properties. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They did not respond to my phone calls, they said they did things that did not do, and it took them forever to call back. They charge a lot of money to my insurance company and that was just to tear down. They said they did things that they didn't do, and that I should pay since the insurance paid for it. But when they found out that the insurance company sent me the money they call me every day and my work. If I ever had a fire or what ever happen in my house again I will never call another company to come and repair it. I will do it myself if I can. read more

Worst experience ever during a hard enough time. My mother paid almost $28,000 for them to gut out one room and take out the ceiling and carpet out of another. And also clean the property in them rooms that was salvageable. Then they unpacked and repackaged her belongings she was bringing to her storage. She told them that if they needed her to move them to let her know ahead of time because she works at 6 am in the morning and don't get off any where from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. They also billed her final bill off of there original bid. So when she started pointing out things on there that was not done they told her they would take that off and when she brought up all the boxes they were not suppose to take they told her they don't recollect that. Well her and her witnesses do. They said she wasn't trying to pay them there money and that it wasn't hers it's the insurance companies money and to just pay it. Again wrong it is hers it is her policy that is covering the cost. The only thing they did was gut out the room and didn't even board up the broken window took out the carpet and cealing in the other room plugged in there machine for the smoke damage came back a few days later after she went to work unpacked and repackaged 52 of her boxes she was bringing to her storage she just paid for and never came back. Didn't answer her phone calls ever she always left messages rarley returned them. She paid them the $1000 deductible also. In the end she went and bought the material to do the repairs and hired the electrition to do them repairs. And that was 4 or 5 months after the fire. They started calling her when they found oit she got a check from her insurance company. They started harassing her when she wouldn't answer just like they did. Sent her the bid for the job for the final bill didn't do more than half the stuff on there. She left the meeting almost crying because they were saying she was ripping them off when it's the other way around. Unless your insurance company is paying it they wont do anything. It happened in August they gutted the room and carpet and cealing in the other took her belongings they were told not to and never came back not even for there equipment. She started the repairs around Thanksgiving so it wasnt in shambled for Christmas and so her water pipes wouldn't freeze and cause another disaster. And she paid them almost $28,000 because they were guilty and took off another $1000. I told her she should of took them scam artist to court. Don't use them they only work when they know yoir insurance is paying so they can rip them off. read more

My basement flooded, which I have not had before, and had no experience dealing with. I called Rapid Restoration. The first or second question I asked was how soon they could be out there. They suggested they could be there the next day, although I didn't press them on it which I guess was my mistake. They said the first step was to do an estimate, which they came out and did, and assured me specifically that they would both call and email me as soon as the estimate was complete. They did neither, until I pestered in the evening and they eventually emailed me, but it was past business hours and so they could not schedule anything. I called at their opening time the next day, but they told me to email. Near the end of that day they got back to me to let me know it would be another several days before they could help. There was of course standing water in my basement that whole time and from my initial conversations I was really under the impression that they took my emergency seriously. Whether they had time to help was not the issue, I just needed them to be up front with me about the fact that I shouldn't be relying on them to be there for another half week. I was able to get someone else (Done Right Restoration, who were super great) to come out the same day. The most embarrassing part was that I didn't just get Done Right to come out the first day and take care of it then. read more

This is a great company for flood cleanup! They are very professional and prompt! Would definitely recommend!!

Came right away to help with a flooded basement but then left the equipment running for multiple days without coming back to check on it. Then overcharged us more than the original price then came back 3 months later saying that we owe more money for equipment days that they didn't come back to pick up. Service was ok but got screwed over by pricing and there workers not coming and picking up their equipment on the days that they said they would. So now have to pay extra for their mistake or they are going to try and send us to collections. Not a way to conduct business. read more

RR was fantastic. Our basement flooded after our sewage out pipe was blocked by tree roots. We discovered the flooding on Sunday night, and they were in the next day to help us clean up, assess damage, and document everything for insurance. What could have been a huge headache for our busy family was, to our relief, made very easy by their constant communication, their professionalism, and their high quality work. Rapid Restoration was excellent to work with on a water damage issue I had discovered. They worked with me on cleaning an affected surface as well as air quality testing so we could have exact information for the best health of the home. They were able to get started the same day and were professional and wonderful to work with from the first phone call through the completion of the job. Chad is very knowledgeable and his crew was great. It turned out that we did not need to take additional steps for remediation because the diagnostics came back without concerns. I appreciated that this team had the skill and abilities to provide information and work up possible plans from "best case to worst case scenario" then take the most fitting action. We found a perfect result for the home at much lower cost than could have been the case without such an honest exam. I had two other companies out to look and Rapid stood out in terms of timing, communication, assessment, and an efficient plan. Ha, emergency restoration service should be the ones who really do call back and show up. I have 5 properties ranging from single family houses to large industrial complexes. Tried to be proactive and contact them to make an emergency preparedness plan. No one thought I was important enough to respond to. This is BEFORE they have my money. The guys at Rapid Restoration was very responsive to my call on a Friday morning. They took their time to explain to us the process of drying out my basement. They even checked on us several times during the weekend to make sure the basement was drying out correctly. They also took care of the subcontractors and dealt with submitting information to the insurance company for us. I really appreciate their professionalism and attention to details. This is the 2nd time we've used DKI Rapid Restoration. The first time was for my mother's home in 2015; the sewer backed up and basically flooded her basement. They were excellent for that service. On July 12, 2017, a tornado hit Forest Lake and a 15 ton tree fell on our home and basically split the home in two. We were in shock and really did not know what to do. Our bedroom and sunroom were open to the sky, had insulation, sheetrock, glass and debris everywhere. We called DKI and they responded quickly, took the stress off of us and took control of the debris removal, cleanup and helped us work with insurance after this devastation. Chad, Ryan, Randy were excellent - professional, courteous, ongoing communication/updates and incredibility knowledgeable. They put down floor protection throughout the house before they started hauling out the debris. They helped us sort out what could be salvaged (and not) - it was laid out and organized in the garage so we could easily see all of our belongings. It was also so nice not to worry about all of the different subcontractors and work that needed to be done. DKI coordinated it all - debris removal, tree removal, drycleaning (all of our clothes were covered in insulation), jewelry cleaning (I had 85 pieces of jewelry - all covered insulation), dumpster rental, etc. They also boarded up the side of our house that was open to the elements.
