I have only lived in SD for 1.5 years and was terrified to find a new dentist. I put it off for over a year. Then i tried to find some local dentists in OB and was not happy with the options due to unanswered phone calls, sanitary issues, or lack of insurance options. I finally found a local dentists that met beyond my expectations. Beautiful office and updated equipment. ve been there twice now and each experience has been excellent. I would not recommend Cliffs Dental. I had one visit and after a somewhat brief exam I was told I needed Invisalign and gum surgery as well as 2 new crowns and a cavity filled. They offered to do the crowns and filling right then which made me think maybe I should get a 2nd opinion. Especially since all of this would be $2000. A friend recommended another dentist who after looking at my x-rays and doing an exam (for which he did not charge me) told me I didn't need ANY of it. Everyone at the Cliffs was pleasant and professional however and the dog was cute. read more

I went in to see this new Team, I had originally was seen by the previous DDS Jones and he retired. I had an old root canal done on one of my back bottom tooth and it got an infection and I am unemployed and no insurance yet at least no dental and this Awesome Team came to my rescue. Originally they had talked about having another root canal done but I didn't have $1300.00 to do that so they came up with another plan and we decided to pull this tooth and will get a new tooth / implant when I am employed again. This OFFICE TEAM went out of there way and they put me with a plan and saved me money :) thank you Dr. Burford and Dr. Braden. The practice was sold. Dr. Jones was the original dentist an was an excellent dentist. Since the new year they have been under new ownership. I had no problems with my teeth with dr.jones. Now under new ownership. They made my teeth worse. And now they left me in pain. Don't recommend here at all. They are more worried about getting your money. Before even talking to you about what they need to do. They also violated HIPPA at this practice. They gave me name of another patient and talked about their issues. My mom once told me a closed mouth catches no fly. And a kind word never gives anyone a sore mouth or bad teeth. At Seaside Dentistry I will always have kind words for Dr. Braden and her staff. Here is one experience I had with Seaside Dentistry. Two years ago on a Friday evening my crown came out. Unsure what to do next for this anxious moment I contacted Seaside Dentistry with a text message explaining my problem. To my surprise, the next morning I was provided a response directing me to report to Seaside Dentistry the following Monday morning to have the crown refitted and resealed. Within 15 minutes when I arrived that Monday morning, my crown was back in place. And it's still holding strong. To me, personally, Dr. Baden has that 'can-do' professional attitude. Overall, I applaud Dr. Baden and her dental staff as a very dedicated and caring team. They also give their patients that special care. read more

Dr Jones was great! I held on as long as possible through the change in ownership but can no longer call Seaside, or the Cliffs Dentistry (sounds rich!) as they will soon be known, my dentist of choice. It seems like the new dentists are trying to pay off student loans and/or mortgages. Most recently they wanted to replace absolutely every filling and add a crown. They scolded me for not heeding their instructions 1.5 years ago but didn't show any evidence in the X-rays taken between then and now that anything was wrong or that there was a negative progression. They also take pictures of teeth in addition to X-rays. They force patients to sign off on a treatment plan before leaving the office. And now they offer a $50 referral bonus. C'mon guys is this a legitimate practice or a Mary Kay cosmetics gig? I'll be searching for a new dentist along the lines of Dr Jones. read more

I normally don't write reviews, but this is an exception. My experience with Dr. Dellis deserves high praise. After Dr. Jones retired from practice, I decided to continue with this office to see if the new Dr's would be a good fit for me. I am pretty particular as my sister is a retired dentist. I was in for a routine cleaning with my favorite hygienist Kalia and Dr. Dellis checked my X-rays to determine if I needed any additional dentistry done. Turns out I did. She explained and showed me what needed to be done and I returned to see her shortly thereafter. Long story short I have my new favorite dentist for life. She has the enthusiasm and love of dentistry that my sister had. She is gentle and truly cares about the patients comfort and explaining the process. She isn't the dentist that people are worried about that would have you get a procedure that isn't required. For example I went in for a likely crown that she was able to fix with a filling saving me a huge amount of money. She told me about Invisiline as an option for crooked teeth that had moved since my prior orthodontics. This wasn't a push, it was an option that I hadn't been introduced to before. I am thrilled to say after a few week on Invisiline I am seeing major progress. I couldn't be happier with my experience at this office. From the first smiling face Ariel at reception to the amazing assistants Daisy and Naomi, you can't go wrong with this level of exceptional care. read more

Just adding an update: one year after my Seaside Dentistry cleaning where I was informed that my teeth and gums were in such bad shape that the hygienist couldn't see me again in good conscience, I had my first cleaning at my new dentist. I haven't had a cleaning for a year, and I changed nothing about my regular teeth-cleaning routine. They didn't try to upsell me on deep cleanings, and didn't insist I needed to come in more often than my insurance would cover - and they found zero issues. read more
