There are two CBTLs in the mall. One at the Makai Foodcourt and this one here in Foodland Farms. Back in the fall when it's Cookie Butter season I wanted one last hurrah before it went away. I did not know Coffee Bean's version is a permanent staple to their drink lineup. Yay, I can get it year round! Their large Cookie Butter iced coffee ($5.99) +tax comes in a 22-24oz cup. Nugget ice, my favorite kind, is used. Wasn't sure if it came with dairy so I asked for 2%. Turns out the Cookie Butter flavor comes in powdered form and already has sugar and non-dairy creamer in it. I enjoyed the iced coffee and liked that it wasn't too sweet like other places. The Cookie Butter flavor was very mild tho. It'll suffice until Fall season hits and am happy to be able to order it year round. I wanna try! ...especially since my Loyalty Card is almost filled! Yay! I easily parked for free - right in front! I appreciate the covered parking! I love coming here! Located inside of Foodland Farms, it's a super convenient location. They give out a stamp card and have specials every Monday and Thursday. Service is quick and they have a good variety of baked goods, salads, coffees and lemonades. I actually think they have some products/food that's better than Starbucks and I find the service to be much quicker. Today I tried a large pumpkin ice blend for $5 Thursday and it was absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend. read more

Wow, just amazing! There was a decent line, but it moved fast. They have a TV that rotates different drinks and the Ube Affogato caught my eye! The Cashier, i think her name was Minnie, was so sweet and asked if I wanted whipped cream. Of course, who doesn't. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I visit this coffee bean, i do sometimes notice the ledge and glass are dirty. This time, they were clean, like squeeky clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were 3 workers in total, very efficient and seemed to work together very well. I waited I'd say maybe a minute or so, pretty fast for my drink. When I go to other locations, it can sometimes take up to 5 minutes!! The lady who gave me my drink had a really nice smile, I noticed she was laughing with other customers and it seemed like she really loved her job. I believe her name tag said Isabelle or Isebella, but she mentioned that the affogato was her new favorite drink and if I enjoy it I should try it with "Thai walls" next time. Let me just say, I normally LOVE this place. But what I heard for your employee today, had me shaken up. Ali was her name, tall, blonde. she was talking about a CUSTOMER after she took her order saying "dumb f**king tourists this isn't Starbucks". Proceeded to say how tourists need to stop traveling to the island. All because the customer had never been to this location before and didn't know the menu. I'm baffled! Customer service skills seem to be lacking at this location. I experienced a lot of attitude from a young girl when I ordered the "tiktok" drink. She didn't know it so I explained the drink and she got annoyed and proceeded with an attitude. I thought this was a one off experience but I went again recently and my experience was still the same. No worries lots of area to sit, but I take it to go. It's important to know it's not just any Coffee Bean, it's this specific location where the employees make the difference. In American coffee shops I've encountered more mediocrity than exceptional, however the employees here are the exception. Oh! And they make on-point drinks and that $2+ carrot cake to die for! I've been here dozens of times and realized I never wrote a review so shame on me for taking it for granted. This is my favorite CB&TL on the island. I get their vanilla iced soy latte w/extra ice and my drinks are always consistent here. The workers at this location provide exceptional customer service with their friendliness and quick barista skills. They are always open during business hours unlike the other CB&TL at the food court and Ward. I highly recommend this location for your caffeine and tea fix or to grab a quick bite. read more

I ordered a large Vietnamese cold brew and it was delicious! Even still, the main reason for my five star review has more to do with the customer service. The barista rang me up, consolidated my stamps onto one card and made me a perfect pick-me-up! The seating area isn't the cleanest but there's a lot of spots to sit and relax. read more

I stopped drinking coffee for a little over a year but was introduced to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf by my friends who go often to the Ala Moana Foodland Farms location. I was very hesitant as I never ordered anything from here and usually just go to Starbucks for drinks. What a life changer! I decided to try the iced blended mocha that my friends normally order. I asked the girl who was helping me if they could add espresso beans to it and she said yes. I was even more excited. She said that I could order it as a black forest without cherries or as an ultimate mocha. It usually comes with whip but i prefer no whip. Now the ultimate mocha is my go to and I've been hooked. It tastes like an ice blended hot chocolate with espresso beans. I also like how it does not make me crash after drinking it. I absolute love coming to this location because the workers including Emily the Manager are very friendly and they are very consistent with their orders. Strange as it sounds when there are times when you're indecisive the explosion of choices sometimes does help...and here's my brilliance that probably took majority of my brain cells for the day lol! This is my favorite location on island. The customer service is exceptional, specifically from the young man I spoke to Rylan. He is welcoming and patient. They got on the matcha mango hype! So I decide to try them out (although I didn't try the other places yet). I would said just get the matcha latte because the mango jam they use is syrup type of mango, not made with real mango fruit. It is super sweet. And I try to mixed it well but is hard when they all stick to the bottom. But the matcha part is good, although not too strong matcha flavor. But the barista did a good job in layering the drink. Alternative milk has $0.99 up charge. $8 for a regular size is slightly expensive. read more

This CB&TL is conveniently located in Foodland Farms Ala Moana with plenty of ample parking. Before the pandemic began, you can easily spend an hour or so using their comp wifi. Let me preface this by saying I normally love this location. However today, 5/3/2024 at around 11:40a, I don't know that I'll come back if the 2 people working there now are on shift. I was waiting in line and this older haole man with curly long hair came up behind me. He kept edging closer, so I moved on over not wanting him to keep invading my personal space. I'm a petite Asian female that does not appreciate the invasion of my personal space. The woman working obviously knew him as a regular even though he had a Starbucks cup. Anyway, she asks if he's getting his hard boiled eggs to which he responded yes, 3 orders. The man working the drinks turns around welcomes the man, confusedly glancing at me and then turns to the lady who tells him the haole man's order. He then proceeds to ring the man up ignoring me even though I was there first. Auwe! This Coffee Bean is located right inside Foodland Farms. It's so convenient when I'm doing my morning errands or if I need a quick pick me up while doing groceries. The baristas on the weekends are so friendly and they genuinely try their best to remember their customers and their orders. I love getting their plantation tea and their hazelnut americano! I forgot there were two different CBTL locations within Ala Moana. This one is in the food court next to Cinnabon. Its a really small spot, but a coffee bean, is a coffee bean, is a coffee bean mannn. I always choose CBTL over starshucks, but never over boba. No matter which coffee bean location I visit, everything is always good. The products, drinks, and employees. Parking is nearby but sometimes hard to find. I just park far and walk off some of the whipped cream I always get. read more

Fortunately, our relatives live nearby so I'd always make a coffee run to their shop(s) in LA. Then, in 2005, I noticed O'ahu's first CB&TL come up at the corner or Monsarrat and Campbell Avenues. I re-started my coffee "love affair" with CB&TL. I was even more excited to find the Maurice Sullivan Family (Foodland & Foodland Farms) partnered with CB&TL and has since added this specialty coffee and tea shop at several of their supermarkets. Since Foodland Farms is our favorite supermarket and we're in here almost daily, I can make this CB&TL a stop for my caffeine fix or refreshment. They used to have Loyalty cards but thankfully, there's an app that will "track" your usage and you can pay by scanning. I like the e-mails that I receive from CB&TL telling me about their specials. The baristas are generally friendly and very efficient. I've not ever had any issues with them not being "around" to assist me. In fact, they always greet us with a smile that just brightens our day or whatever time we come in. Have I left the OTHER coffee chain? No, but only because they have more locations. But, slowly, I see more CB&TL cafés opening around town. read more
