I really like this coffee bean and tea leaf because the staff are very nice and friendly. The location is also very convenient because it is located in foodland. Ample parking since it is only an hour parking in that area. The staff are also very quick when making the drinks. I'm not a coffee drinker, but like their white chocolate ice blended with no coffee. I saw that they had their ice blended mixes for sale and I got excited! I decided to purchase a white chocolate ice blended mix and the lady was so nice that she showed me what to do. Of course I am still going to go their strictly for the chocolate walls, but that was really nice. They are also all about their customers and offer discounts regularly. They always have 10% off for military. Great deal for me! Then they have stamp cards! They also have great food all the time. I really like their wraps! Healthy options! Love it! read more

I get coffee bean wherever I go, but this is the worst Coffee Bean I've ever experienced. The service is slow and rude. There is a new worker who can't seem to figure out what he is doing. I asked for light ice and they filled up my ice tea with 3-4 inches to spare. They only fill up your tea with ice. So if you want to pay $6 for half a glass of tea with slow and rude service, go here. It was a lesson learned. I avoid Starbucks, but at this mall, I will be getting Starbucks. They want to cheat customers they save 5 cents worth of ice tea. I even offered to pay more. "It's just our recipe," the new guy said over and over. No refunds either. It will probably close with these types of practices plus rude service. read more

This Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf location is inside of Foodland Farms at Ala Moana Center. I have been to this location several times already. Majority of the times it would be just me. Sometimes my mom would accompany me to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Employees always greeted me right away when I approach the counter. I always have a habit of ordering a Plantation Iced Tea. The shop does sell bakery items...the temptation to purchase a blueberry muffin or scone is there but I always bypass the bakery goods and just settle on the drink. Maybe I'll skip on the bakery item and get a deli sandwich instead for my next visit. Cash or card is accepted at this location. I always have to search for my stamp card...every stamp helps in order to redeem a large drink once the card is filled. I tend to enjoy my drink at one of the available counter seats facing the parking lot. Counter seats are normally clean unless one of the other customers leaves their rubbish behind. The next time I am at Foodland Farms at Ala Moana Center I will get a different flavored iced tea drink from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf before heading to the next shopping destination. read more

I ordered a drink that's not technically on their menu (I was craving a tea latte that's not matcha or chai), and Natalie was so nice to make it for me even though it sounded like it wouldn't be very good. She offered to replace my drink if I didn't like it. It turned out to be pretty weird so I got back in line to order a different drink. Natalie was working her tail off as she was the only person working for a bit, both taking orders and making drinks. Eventually, she got backup from her coworker Emily. This used to be my favorite CBTL location, since the service at the Monserrat and Kapiolani locations is consistently horrendous. I noticed that the previously high quality of service at this location has been less consistent recently, but it was ok since they have always been very friendly and courteous. But this is beyond belief: This morning AFTER they took my drink order I noticed that there were no sweetener packets and no stirrers in the self-service area so I asked for some. I was told that there would be none since the "storeroom key was lost". Umm...CBTL and Foodland Farms are owned by the same company CBTL is also conveniently RIGHT INSIDE of Foodland Farms, which does have those sweetener packets in it's own stock. Could they have borrowed? ....Or, could a SPARE KEY be located? ....Or, could a LOCKSMITH have been called? .....Or, could those items have been BORROWED from any of the other myriad of CBTL locations such as the other one located conveniently in the same shopping center? It seems like there must have been SOME solution other than telling the customers, "Sorry, no can". I cancelled my order and had to wait for a refund to process. They could have mutually saved time by notifying customers BEFORE they ordered. read more

I think Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf doesn't get the appreciation they deserve. Their espresso is strong and helps me go on and about my day. Only recently have I been a regular at Coffee Bean as I was a fan of Starbucks for years. I've made a switch and have been happy thus far. I especially love this location because of the spacious dine in area Foodland Farms has to offer. I can buy my food & enjoy my coffee at the same time. They have a bigger variety of prepared meals/desserts and much much stronger coffee. I love me a mix of bitter-sweet iced coffee in the morning which is why my go to drink is their Iced Dark Chocolate Latte. It's mildly sweet and strong at the same time. Another iced coffee drink that's super strong is the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Mix up sweet and super strong. If I'm wanting a light lunch, I always get their Mergherita Bruschetta. It's flavorful and worth the $4.75! Coffee helps me survive throughout the day and looking for a great coffee fix is hard to come by. The $5 Avocado toast with $1 bacon upsell was a bit ridiculous considering the piece of bacon was tiny I almost needed a microscope to find it. Been coming to this FOODLAND Farms CBTL since we moved back from Las Vegas. The service is super awesome and so are the staff. One in particular, Daniel would always remember my drink and my cousin's drink. Since I order a blended drink he will always make the effort of making sure my drink does not have ice chunks in it. I always order the 32 ounce Iced blended Mocha with no whip. The pastries and sandwiches are also very good. Especially the chocolate scone. Kudos to Daniel and the rest of the crew for taking good care of us when we get to stop by. You all rock! Thank you again and yes we will stop in more often than just once a week. read more

I never thought I would say this, but I am now a fan of CBTL! I had always been faithful to Starbucks (and still am) but my coworkers tend to gravitate more towards Coffee Bean so I gave in...and was happy I did! I hadn't been to a Coffee Bean since around 2007 and that was enough to deter me for 10 years. I mistakenly ordered a Caramel Macchiato thinking it would be similar to Starbucks. I was wrong. But nevermind that, I am now back! This location is located in Foodland Farms, just across the street from my work. All it took was one look at the menu, and the Black Forrest had me at "cherry". Oh my delicious, chocolately, cherry goodness! I am obsessed with that drink now! Luckily, I've mainly encountered Sione at this location and he is the bomb diggity! He is always so nice and accommodating. He makes THE BEST Black Forrest drinks!! Too bad this foodland/Coffee Bean isn't 24 hours...well, maybe it's a good thing because I would blow up like a balloon! This so-cal chain opened one of its newest branches in the new Foodland Farms store at the ewa end of Ala Moana Center. The coffee is not as harsh as Starbucks's & the pastries are very good. I like the oat cake & the wife likes the morning glory muffin. The tables, chairs & counters are designed for Watusi's, basketball players & other tall people. (There are some regular tabes & chairs near Hi Steaks.) An advantage of this branch is you can browse the grocery store for other foods to go with your coffee; I found a fruit cup with a "better " fruit mix than that available for the coffee shop. Another branch is on the edge of the main food court. It has regular sized chairs & tables. read more

So disappointed. I usually order my all time favorite Avocado Toast on the way to work from the Pearl City location on Waimano Home Road with a nice thick toasted bread and large chucks or slices of Avocado and good quality stiff sprouts with a sprinkle of sea salt. I was craving this this morning and since I live in town I went to the one in Foodland Farms Ala Moana. I ended up with a thin slice of bread, not even toasted properly as the bread had no stiffness or crunch to it, a very very thin layer of avocado which looked like quacamole, and cheep curly wilted alfalfa sprouts. Talk about cutting corners. Total rip off! Not worth the money. Won't buy from here again. Sticking to the Pearl City location from now on! read more
