I prefer their teas to the coffee though both are delicious. This location is clean and the baristas are so fast and know how to make a good drink! I love the coffee, tea, and food they have. I come to this location at least once a week often enough for at least one of the employees to remember me by name. I usually get okay service but Today, I was very disappointed. The lady at the cashier was so rude. I'm a loyal customer redeeming a stamp card. She snapped at me saying I needed one more stamp. Mind you the whole stamp card is filled; it's not perfectly stamped in Every little box but all the stamps are there. There was one box that wasn't completely filled in and No barista I've had was super clean with the stamps carefully stamping it in the box. However she was insistent about at it and I just said, "okay" and paid. She then gave me attitude to warm it up and the next lady was rude when giving it back to me. They were so sarcastic in their tone. I gave two stars because I do actually love their products, but the service at this location is just RUDE. read more

Probably the worst of the CBTL locations. Very small so good luck finding a table inside. There's tables outside if you don't mind sitting out in the heat and breathing the exhaust of the traffic passing by on a major boulevard. Not to mention the constant roar of the freeway overpass. As for the service, the quality is not consistent. There are very good servers and then there is a manager who gives TERRIBLE service. This place needs some work on the management level. read more

Still better than Starbucks which I don't like, but my vanilla latte was way too sweet and it was really only an average coffee. I got helped by a worker named Lori. She was rushing us and quick to just finish our order. She just assumed that the drink I ordered was the largest size. I feel bad for writing this review because everyone is very nice and many of the staff who have worked there for a while know my name and order once i walk in... but 80% of the time my chai tea latte isn't made correctly and it tastes like hot chai flavored water. The only girl who consistently makes my order right is the short Japanese looking girl. The Chinese looking girl who usually has a serious expression always makes my drink incorrectly. Bought a coffee and breakfast sandwich here, planning to sit for a while and do some school work. Couldn't because the two tables indoors were occupied and the three outdoors reek of cigarette smoke--two of them actually had smokers occupying them. This was at 11am. Won't be back. If you label an area smoke free, employees should consistently enforce the policy. i have recently become a fan of CBTL because of the one downtown in the First Hawaiian Bank Bldg close to where i work.....the girls there are the bomb. as a result of their AWESOME service and products i had started going to the one in the foodland in market city on the weekends. now i hate going to market city because of the parking issues and pedestrian traffic etc etc. today was my 3rd and final visit to this location. each time i have come in here the people who have ordered after me get their drinks first. i ordered a plantation iced tea each time how hard is that?!? apparently really hard. however, on this visit i asked why the person who ordered after me got her drink first...the lovely lil girl said "because i was doing coffee and it was easier". while she was telling me this she STILL had not started my order, but instead was putting together a blended drink with peanut butter for someone else who ALSO came in after me. she suddenly stopped, turned around to start and complete yet another order. At that point i blew my kewl a little bit and loudly commented that's the 2nd time you passed my order over. i FINALLY got my order, but lesson learned. THIS location does what's easiest INSTEAD of the order of customer. the customer service SUCKS and if out of the 4 or 5 employees who where there but not working was the manager you suck big time because you did NOTHING. 1 star is the lowest rating we can give but if i could -5 would be your rating read more

Been around a lot of coffee in my professional career so I'm always willing to try a new spot....They definitely have a corp look to them. Our server Stlyz did a great job and took and made both our orders perfectly....unfortunately caffeine isn't my friend anymore and my double decaf espresso with a tad of water on top was sweet, nutty, and spicy....definitely blending some thing like Sumatra and Brazil beans in their decaf blend IMHO(I've been wrong before but I love what their blending)....Way to go guys!...My GF who normally likes her dark roast commented that her traditional Machiato was VERY smooth, rich, and not one bit bitter on the finish! She got that signature foam mustache! New fan of coffee bean. Their bags of coffee are a little pricier than the average Hawaiian coffee you'll find in the store, but so much better! Beyond the better quality coffee you get a free drink and free coffee filters (usually I have to ask) with the purchase of a bag of coffee. This on top of all the stamps on my card I cash in on a lot of free drinks in the store, and great coffee in my pot at home. LOVE coffee bean!!! read more

Went in for an afternoon treat,but they weren't serving the blended ice mud pie I thought I saw advertised recently somewhere. the server said it was for a limited time (seasonal).huh? I sat inside at a cafe table (a little sticky) with my large iced coffee. This is a fine place for a cup of coffee. The outdoor seating gets blasted by the sun but is really the only place to sit if you are more than a pair of people. There are two areas of bar seating and two cafe tables inside. The food and drinks are your typical coffee, sandwich, and dessert. Remember to order small, medium, or large coffee here. They are familiar with the terms of the 'other' place but I think the workers appreciate hearing the word 'large.' I had a hard time getting my computer to find the wifi but finally worked it out - user error, I guess. It was free and worked well once I figured it out. Lots of people coming in and out with Foodland bags. Makes sense to do a little shopping and then grab a cup for the ride home. read more

I've been to many coffee beans before and the experiences have always been positive. However, today when I went to the Market City Location, me and my mom's drink both had blood smears on the cup and some of the napkins. They of course remade the drink, but that could potentially create some serious health problems such as blood borne diseases leaving us really concerned if we consumed blood or not. read more

I love Coffee Bean! They have no sugar added chocolate so I can order their mocha coffee without added sugar. Their mocha coffee also tastes 100% better than Starbucks. Their mocha flavor is delicious but it seems not all Coffee Bean locations make their ice blended mocha the same, Some places have less mocha flavor. The Market City location makes the best ice blended mocha coffee! They also give you a stamp card for every dollar purchased. read more
