Came in this morning to order two smoothies and a bagel. It was pretty busy, so we were expecting it to take a minute which was totally fine. Bagel came out pretty quickly. While waiting on our drinks a family came in (bringing their own lactose free milk- I only mention this because at first I thought they might be the owners or something) There were 5 of them, all ordering coffee drinks. The girls working immediately stopped what they were doing to make sure this family got their drinks asap. There were at least five other customers ahead of them waiting. At this point it had been 20 minutes since I received and eaten my bagel. I had to go up and ask where our drinks were. The girls working were completely clueless. They said "oh yeah, I've noticed you've been here waiting for a while". The two girls had the order tickets all over the place and had no idea who was supposed to be working on what. I was given one drink that was ready and had been sitting there for a bit already and then they made the second one. The drinks were delicious- I'm just baffled at the horrible service. read more

Went yesterday for first time for a smoothie. Took the family back today for a sandwich. Everything was great. 2 egg salads, a ham & a club. We all loved them. Took a turkey bacon avocado home to the sister. She said it was wonderful. Loved the bean freeze!!! Sure glad we were introduced to this hidden gem. read more

I only gave this establishment 4 stars because the interior has become very very run down. The tables and chairs are falling apart, it's in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint and it's age is really showing. HOWEVER, they have wonderful drinks! I love their chocolate cappuccino shake. Also, I have always experienced wonderful service (and to be able to say always in regards to customer service at any location is a rarity these days. I will happily look over the need for a building upgrade to keep getting delicious drinks and great service). I hope they stay in business for a very very long time! read more

I've been going here since 1993. I've always loved this café, their Espresso Shakes are amazing! I usually order the yogurt ice cream version but they always seem limited with that option. I do wish the add chocolate shavings like they did way back when. Otherwise, it's a great little coffee shop. The wraps are really good too. read more

Walk in and no one says anything to me. There was no greeting or acknowledgment I was even there. Just off of that I wanted to walk out. How are you not gonna greet someone who walks into your store to buy your product. Every restaurant in Yuma is like this. So it's not a shocker. read more

I'm a regular here and I usually have a great experience but today I ordered my usual; 2 chocolate shakes and a mocha frappe. The chocolate shakes didn't come with whip cream like they usually do and I asked the young boy about it and he said they don't come with whipped cream.. that's weird because a week ago and for the past 6 years they've been coming with whipped cream. Once I was in the car heading home I took a sip and realized it tasted nothing like chocolate, even my younger sister agreed, we ended up tossing them in the trash. It tasted very watered down. I really, really wanted to like this place. I ordered a vanilla steamer. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's steamed milk with a shot of vanilla in it. They didn't steam the milk, they just heated it. That may not seem like a big deal, but there isn't much going on in a steamer, if you don't froth the milk, it's extremely lackluster. One of the two girls seemed that she might not have known what a steamer was, but I told both of them clearly, and I wish if they had had questions they would have asked instead of serving me that cup of hot milk. I liked the service I received though, I thought the girls were polite and professional. I also had a muffin, loved the muffin. :) Beyond that, it's the middle of the winter and the cafe was too warm (pre-drink) to sit comfortably in. Since what I wanted was to sit, relax, drink my drink and have a gab with my friend, the heat killed the experience for me. My fiancé and I were looking for smoothies as we were heading back to the big city, and were drawn in by the glowing reviews given to the Coffee Bean. We were not disappointed! He got a peanut butter shake, and I got the Raspberry Kiss smoothie. Mine was more of a shake as well, as it had a sherbet in it, but I'd like to still consider it a smoothie for health's sake :) Both were delicious, however, neither held a candle to the recommended drink. After mentioning that we were road tripping and on our way back home, the barista exclaimed that we had to try the espresso shake at some point. We asked for a sample, but she kindly made us each a full-sized drink on the house. It was incredibly generous, and the shake was definitely worth it. Other blended coffee drinks don't hold a candle to this masterpiece! We were blown away by her top-notch customer service, and the quality of all of the drinks. Needless to say, the Coffee Bean will definitely be a mandatory stop for us anytime we pass through Yuma. read more

I'm by no means a coffee snob. In fact, I don't like the idea of spending five bucks for a venti frozen coffee blend plus tax. Well, okay. Sometimes, I just have to go to the Starbucks drive thru to get my java fix. But. my true passion is for the Coffee Bean Cafe's vanilla bean frappe. It's It's hard to describe the taste. It's so good. All I know is that it's got the right proportion of sweetness, coffee pungency, icy crunchiness, and milky creaminess. So utterly good, and pleasurable. Worst Customer Service EVER!....I was given 1 small slice of tomato, 1 slice of onion, 2 slices of pickle and 1 peperchini with huge sandwich which wasn't enough for even 1/2 the sandwich and they want to charge 25 cents extra for EACH additional slice of tomato and slice of onion....C'mon Really?? Ridiculous!!! NEVER again!! Why serve Acai BOWLS in a cup?? Hard to get thru frozen acai which I prefer fresh and room temperature which was too cold for my elderly mother and myself and to make matters worse fruit is frozen NOT fresh..The owners daughter was NO help with her sarcasm and unwillingness to make it right for sandwich....I paid about $30 for 2 Acai bowls, sandwich and 2 cookies. It's nice to have an alternative to Starbucks sometimes. But I didn't really enjoy this option. This place is dirty: there's grime on the bathroom door and the tables are sticky. The background music is elevator easy listening. It's empty on sunday morning. I couldnt hang out here for more than a cup of coffee, and definitely wouldnt invite a girl here on a date. The medium Americano I bought cost more than a Starbucks and wasn't as strong. There is no place to add your own sugar, milk, or even grab a napkin. read more

I had a blended mocha not all that good actually it was practically tasteless and not blended very well! Not worth the calories at all! Yuma has a huge shortage on coffee shops so I came the next day for just a drip coffee mediocre at best. If in Yuma I would recommend taking the extra drive out 16th street to Starbucks much better coffee and service as well! People working there were nice however, their product is terrible! Coffee was awful, all sizes come with only one shot of espresso, even the large sizes. I have a Starbucks just around the corner from me and I will gladly drive the extra few miles to get to the Coffee Bean. Their espresso shake is killer although not for the lactose intolerant. The flavor of the day usually doesn't disappoint, nice place to kick it and read the paper and the free wi-fi lets you stay connected. Tried this place for the first time today, I got an açaí bowl. I'm from California so we love açaí bowls and unfortunately this was not an açaí bowl lol. More like açaí sherbert in a cup with minimal fruit. First off, please start putting them in bowls and not cups because then you have to eat all the fruit and granola before you can eat the açaí SHERBERT. Also, an authentic açaí bowl is more of a thicker smoothie consistency not ice cream consistency. Idk where Yuma is getting their açaí bowl training but clearly they've got some work to do. Also for how much I'm paying $8 for a 16oz im expecting it to be an authentic one with more fresh fruit and coconut flakes or something. Jesus. Also Açaí bowls are supposed to be made fresh by blending it instead of having premade sherbert and calling it açaí bowls lol. Improve it or lower your prices on it because this is not an authentic açaí bowl. But over all the place is a cool little coffee shop. read more

Best thing is the vanilla espresso shake. A little too rich for me in the morning but a nice drink for in the afternoon. My daughter gets their smoothies. The smoothie menu is huge and she loves them. I'm from California and I got very excited when I saw Coffee Bean here in Yuma.
