Before we ordered we were quick to grab the last table available; at 2 on a hot Saturday, many people were inside for a cool break. We ordered 3 café cubanos and I order a cortadito. They came out fast. Although Alex's parents said the cubanos were notas strong as those in Miami, I loved mine. I am usually not a fan of strong espresso drinks because of the taste, but I'm finding it's likely because other places don't use good beans; that is not the case here! My cortadito was perfectly sized and sweetened to help me keep my head up in the summer Savannah sun. The one downside was that the tables were not very comfortable. Savannah is a foodie destination and The Coffee Fox adds world class single origins, perfect espresso drinks and pour-over as well as brewed coffee. These are professional baristas who know their coffees intimately. I marveled at the high and low notes in their perfectly pulled espresso. My take away Kenyan was fruity to the last drop of my CleanCanteen in mid-afternoon. The decaf Americano in my thermos kept my wife happy and CALM all day. So so so impressed by the quality of the coffee! I ordered a matcha green tea latte (iced) and my husband ordered an horchata latte. I felt like both drinks were perfectly made, not overly sweet, well balanced, and just really well done. As I write this review, I'm craving a drink from here! We also ordered a bacon kolache and a thanksgiving kolache. We were not disappointed with those either. The line was always almost out the door each time we went by Coffee Fox! This is a nice little coffee shop/beer joint but don't expect a wide variety of coffee drinks like Starbucks. The staff were super friendly and in vibe is fun and friendly. The seating is limited and a bit crowded so I don't know that this would be the greatest place to hang out for a while with a book or to study. It was perfect for a working meeting for myself and a colleague. I found their coffee to be on the strong side, but I also like light roast blends with flavors, i.e. cinnamon coffee with cream and sugar so I am not the best judge of such things! read more

We got coffee here this morning. I got the Mexican Mocha, my wife got the Horchata Latte. We also got a quiche (tomato and Gruyère). We have been here several times now, every song time everything has been great. We look forward to coming here every time we are in Savannah. This is such a cute little place. The coffee was delicious, however, they had very few options on flavors, if you're looking for a lavender latte or a vanilla anything. Wanted to make sure I visited this place during my trip to Savannah since it came highly recommended with so many good reviews. Unfortunately, it just wasn't the right vibe for me. The drinks we got were okau (chai latte and horchata latte) and so was the sandwich and pastry we had. However, the place itself felt cold and the vibe from the atmosphere and staff wasn't what we expected. Hands down the best cinnamon bun I've ever had... and it was vegan! The highlights: not super sticky, just the right balance of sweet and savory and huge. Now, I like to peel apart my cinnamon rolls, which usually causes a big old sticky mess but, this was a perfect treat. My cafe con leche was also an palate pleaser. Hipster & quaint in a great location in Savannah, Georgia-- I give this place 2/5, one extra point because of the aesthetics and the locals seemed to be having a good time. Unfortunately for me, my visit was different, I saw that they served horchata-- my girlfriend is from El Salvador so I was excited to try as all horchata I've had in the past were quite authentic. After I tasted it, I came up to the barista and exclaimed that it tastes very different from what I know of horchata. She replies to me with "Yeah, that's horchata-- it's just milk and cinnamon". If that doesn't say it all then I don't know what will. Sorry but it was far from authentic and I was quite bothered by the ignorance shown by the barista. The milk did not seem to want to blend with the coffee, making it difficult to find the right creamy texture. On my last day in Savannah I decided to stop in to the famous Coffee Fox for a cup of coffee and breakfast before departing the city. I'd heard many good things before leaving home so I was excited to stop in, especially considering that morning was overcast and slightly rainy. Walking in the staff was super friendly and efficient at getting all the orders out on time. When you walk in they have a huge Glass case full of breakfast options. I opted for a latte and scone to have at the bar. My fiancé ordered an espresso with a muffin. My scone was perfectly flavored and the muffin was nice and fluffy and bouncy. We both sat and enjoyed our very strong local perk coffee as we people watched. The staff seem very friendly and kind to everyone that came in. A solid, very friendly, coffee shop perfectly located in downtown Savannah right on Broughton Street. I ordered one of their brownies (which are baked by them at their other location, but still technically made in-house and tasted very fresh) and an iced green tea. The barista made the tea for me and it was quite good and the atmosphere certainly--while it's something of a small space--is very inviting and cozy yet modern. It seems an appropriate place to find at its location, if you're shopping on Broughton Street. I would not recommend them for an extensive dessert selection because they don't really offer many choices, but it's nice they do have some sweets and I believe also some savory items as well for sale. I visited the Foxy Loxy (about a mile away) multiple times during my Savannah stay and fell deeply in love, but only made it here on my last day. This place is just "cool" but does not serve good coffee. It's a wanna be hipster Washington coffee place but it's failing miserably at it. It's TIGHT when you walk in. They aren't able to make a simple vanilla late.. like seriously. Maybe because I'm a Washington native I expect a lot from local coffee places. The bathroom was the most spacious part of this place. The coffee wasn't awful but I wouldn't ever come back for it. The staff was nice and helpful, only reason I'm giving it more than one star.
