    Hotcakes

I came with me and my two children, 4 and 8. They had cute alligator toys on each table that the 4 year old liked. Food was made to order - good diner food. The hotcakes were huge. I loved my over easy eggs and home fries. The kids liked their scrambled eggs and the bacon. Service was speedy. We went on a Saturday morning and I enjoyed the diverse diners. Lots of people getting carryout.

My dad took me in here for the first time. He loved this place when he was alive. He'd go every morning as a retired police officer. Josie & Michelle were regular people he mentioned in everyday conversation. He'd get the Crazy 8 with home fries. It was his jam. When the doctors got on him about his weight, he didn't stop going. Instead he would just eat half and bring the rest home for us kids or a later meal. Now to the point, this isn't a place you stop going to for any reason. The service is tops and it is paired with kindness and care for the customer, the establishment and the product. We ate breakfast here right before my first kid was born. I got the Crazy 8 and my wife got the Banana-can cakes. That crazy 8 is filling and cheesy. Josie doesn't play with those ingredients. This omelet is always overflowing with okey-gooey goodness and veggies and meat. The 10-12" pancakes were light and fluffy and giant. Bananas and pecans everywhere!!! But the item I just love and shows the real attention to detail and effort every time are the home fries. Seasoned and served with onions. They just bring the flavor and say... pow! All of this on top of the prices.. you are missing out if you aren't here.

I could help but bite the toast first corned beef hash and eggs!

I order breakfast from here almost every weekend so i love the food. Had to knock a star off my old review due to some order issues lately. Missing items/ food not cooked to order. For a breakfast spot they really should have making eggs to order down but the last few times they have all been way way overcooked. Also noticed the portion sizes this time were much much smaller.

Home like neighborhood breakfast spot found. Struggle from going to DD and McDonald's breakfast to this friendly restaurant. Servers are prompted and very generous and friendly.

I honestly have no idea how this is such a low rated establishment. I had such a great experience here yesterday. I came here on a recommendation claiming that this place made the best blueberry pancakes -- I was not disappointed. First of the pancakes are huge! They were so dang delicious even for simple blueberry pancakes they were perfect. And the amount of blueberries was outrageous (in a good way) SO. MANY. BLUEBERRIES. I also had some bacon which standard delicious bacon. Also had an order of potato pancakes and they were also very good. I would have liked them to have a little more onion flavor and be a bit crispier but that's just personal preference. Now for the coffee... I absolutely hate diner coffee. I thought their coffee was pretty good. Next for the service. This is a family owned and operated business which I love. The owner and her daughter took or orders and served us and were very attentive and friendly and the place was very busy. The owners son was there working as well but I can't remember what he was doing and the owners nephew was cooking. All around great experience. I will definitely be returning.

    My favorite order!

A few things to note if you decide to try it out: there are no reservations. Seating is first come, first served, and a line forms outside in the benches. Hop in line and expect to wait about 15 minutes. Very casual and smooth! Also, they take card but would appreciate if you paid cash to cut down on credit card expenses. You get a fun treat if you do! I started my breakfast with some freshly brewed coffee that they kept topping off throughout the morning. I also get some fresh fruit and the strawberries were sooo sweet! Get the fruit, because it's a nice snack while you wait for your meal to come out. For my entrée, I ordered two buttermilk pancakes and a side of eggs scrambled with cheese and the home fries. The pancakes were fluffy and the syrup was nice and thick. I loved how the eggs came out. They were cooked perfectly with cheddar cheese. And the home fries stole my heart. How a restaurant prepares their home fries sets the tone for me anywhere. They were seasoned very well and I could tell that they are a great foundation to the entrees on the house specialties menu. I will be returning to try some of the savory dishes very soon!

We got the tostada and the biscuits and gravy. The tostada was a work of art! And bursting with flavor. The biscuits and gravy. Where to start? The biscuit was super flaky, moist, cut in half and filled with scrambled eggs that seemed to be layered. The whole thing was covered with a gravy, chock full of sausage and, perfectly cooked mushrooms. I got a sweet potato cinnamon bun to go. Can't wait to try that later today!

Both were delicious! The biscuit was perfectly buttery, and it was covered in a rich, flavorful mushroom gravy and came with scrambled eggs. It was filling but somehow not too heavy. I licked my plate clean. The pancake was also wonderful. It was topped with a thin layer of rhubarb jam that brought a nice tartness along with a dollop of sorghum butter and whipped cream, and served with Ohio maple syrup on the side. I could have easily had a whole stack of the pancakes. The staff was friendly, and though the place was busy, the service was efficient. Excited to come here again! Note - if you use a credit card, it does come with a 3% service fee.
