We intended to put in a takeout order for him but due to the 45-minute wait, he ended up finishing before we were even seated. We invited him to come along and then we were called to be sat. We ordered his meal for him prior to him arriving and this was still a major problem for the hostess. She basically threatened to move us back outside and told us we were "holding the table" even though we would have never done that. Instead of giving me the opportunity to explain to her we would have done takeout anyways had he not arrived(but he did because again, it was a 45 minute wait), she just continued to talk over me. It made all of us very uncomfortable and the first 10 minutes we felt very on edge and unwelcomed. She then did the same thing to our ninth person when they walked in the restaurant 5 minutes after. He had no idea what had already occurred and was also caught off guard. Most of us worked in this industry in the past, and we thought we were doing the right thing by letting her know. Thank you to everyone else who helped soften our experience. It was very appreciated. Every person who brought a dish to our table was extremely kind. We all had something different on the menu and there were no complaints!

I was very excited to see the Polish boy (and vegan option no less) I didn't have much of a choice. GF ordered the vegan pierogi platter with vegan kielbasa on a bed of kraut. Firstly the fried cheese was head and shoulders above any mozz sticks or anything of the sort that I have had in memory. The breading is seasoned and crispy and heaven on earth. The cheese is PIPING. Like you will burn yourself if you, like me, have no patience. The accompanying tomato sauce is also steaming. So good. The Polish boy was also in a league of its own. Love that they have a vegan version. What a combo. Probably one of Cleveland's most important community contributions. We ordered the latkes to go and they were orgasmic. What a special place.

Because we didn't want to leave the food in the car for a few hours, we ate everything and did not have leftovers although we could have! I moved out of the way for a takeaway order, but still hovered by the cash. One server placed drinks two feet from me on the counter and still wouldn't acknowledge me beyond a side eye. Two customers smiled and shrugged their shoulders commiserating so at least I knew to the rest of the world I wasn't invisible. No signs that I saw to seat yourself or wait to be seated. Three waitresses and not a pleasant face among them. The food did smell good but after three minutes and at least six purposely missed opportunities to be acknowledged I left. Maybe this is a place where surly attitudes are their shtick? Maybe a single person isn't worth seating? A "hi, hang on a minute" was all that was needed. I hope the kitchen is so good it boosts these career waitresses tips because their personalities are running at a solid 0%.
