First visit. It was ok. Pricing is good. The show was fine. The first act was actually funnier than headliner. The place is tightly packed. Guess they are trying to seat as many as possible with tables. Service was ok. Food was fine. We received a discount code for a free show but never figured out how that worked. Hmm. Anyone whose ever come here I can bet has had a blast! I know I sure enjoyed my time seeing Trevor Wallace here. It's best to eat and pregame prior to coming here so you can avoid the prices! (If you can, because who doesn't enjoy a beer while laughing for the night!) The people working there try to get your order fast and quick so they can get out of the way, don't remember the lady's name we had but she was super friendly and was always checking on us! Anywhere you sit you are able to see the stage, some of the tables are small so you have to get real comfortable with your table mates since you're having to sit so close. Attended the Tommy Davis 9:00 show and the place was packed. The table cloths were dirty from the 7pm show, they sat us with two other couples that we did not know, the show started almost 1 hour late. This place needs an up lift and should stop over selling tickets. The show was uncomfortable as heck with so many people in one spot. I know for sure the fire Marshall would have shut it down. read more

Long story short, I lost a bet, and it was my turn to plan date night!! As I was trying to think of something different for us to do, I remembered that my boyfriend had never been to the Comedy Zone. I looked online and saw who was scheduled to perform and decided it was worth a shot! I roped a few friends into going with us and we were seated dead front and center for the 930 show Friday night. I've never sat that close to the front and I was nervous!! The server greeted us quickly and got drink orders working for us. 2 comics were lined up for the evening and both were pretty funny! Aaron was up first and in my opinion was funny enough to headline a show of his own! Tony was 2nd and didn't disappoint. The reason I am not rating this any higher is 2 fold... 1) I thought I was going to die of a heat stroke in there. I mean holy junk. I told the server we were all melting and she said "We are working on it." But it wasn't any cooler in there when we left than it was when we got there. 2) I ordered 2 drinks. Tito's & Sprite with a splash of cranberry. I should have been able to taste the vodka, but I couldn't. We ate somewhere else before coming in because the food options there are all heavy and greasy. I wish they had a menu with some more variety. I just think they could do a better job with the food and drinks, personally. That being said, I will go back. Supporting local comics is something I enjoy and I will deal with a weak drink for a solid laugh! read more

This was my first time here, and my group and I fully enjoyed myself. While waiting outside for the show to end so we can be seated, I needed to use the restroom super bad. The director was extremely nice and kind enough to let me in to use it during the show. So that made me feel pretty positive about my first time here. The bathrooms were pretty clean, and we'll stocked. After a 20 minute wait, we were able to be seated. We had a party of 4 out of 6, and they were able to seat us at a table to accommodate us. We were given menus, and the waitress made food suggestions and informed us that the bar was able to make a lot of drinks not listed. We tried the loaded nachos, chips and ranch dip, mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, and a pepperoni pizza. So many drinks were ordered, I don't recall them all, but they were really good (I sampled everyone's, lol). Then the show started. The host and comedians were very funny. This was my first time ever attending a comedy show, and I was amazed by how hard I laughed. I can't believe I never made it a priority to attend one and now I am on the watch for future comedians who will be performing. read more

This was my first visit and it was so worth it. Both acts were funny, especially the headliner. The servers were awesome! We never were empty on drinks. Only suggestion is get there early! Even if you have a reservation it's still first come first served. So if you want a table upfront you better be there early. However, I don't think there's a bad seat in the place. You can easily see and hear well from any seats. No long bathroom lines. There is a smoking patio at the back. Everything was very clean. It's a very pretty place. 5 stars for the show and host. We went to see Carl "Cee-Jay" jones and we were dying if laughter. The club is lacking much as far as food and decor. I guess the new improv in Raleigh has spoiled me some but really for the price of tickets and food and the minimum purchase requirements you really cant beat the deal you get coming to this establishment. We decided on this club because it was halfway between Charlotte and Raleigh and we were meeting friends. If we had to do it again we would. Very affordable and enjoyable date night. read more

The show was great! We really enjoyed ourselves! The food service wasn't so great. We were a group of 3 and only 2 of us received our dinner. So this came as a recommendation from a friend when looking something to do when traveling to Greensboro for a bowling tournament. I have to say we had an absolute blast. This was an impromtu visit my friends and I couldn't have made a better choice. We didn't know the comedian (Saturday 1/19/19) and we didn't have high hopes, but he exceeded our expectations by miles! The staff was friendly and our waitress was superb. I go to The Comedy Zone a lot and I usually have a great time. It's one of my favorite things to do on the weekend but I won't be going back after last night. Don't get me wrong, the service was fast and friendly as always and the drinks and food were very good. It was a noise problem that ruined The Comedy Zone for me. The show started at 10 and it was going great for about 20 minutes. That's when they let a table of 6 come in late and sat them at the table behind us. That already distracts from the show but it should be a quick interruption so no big deal. The problem was that the 6 people proceeded to talk very loudly for the entire show. It was hard to focus on what the comic was saying with 6 people chatting with each other. They also did not have their phones silenced and we heard them going off multiple times throughout the show. In my experience, if people are talking loudly, someone usually comes to the table and tells them to keep it to a whisper. My poor elderly mom made the mistake of turning around and looking at the table one time there was a lot of noise and then we had to deal with them talking about if that b***h looks back here again we are going to beat her up. Our waitress was standing there and heard this happen and nothing was said or done. I really do love The Comedy Zone but I will not be spending money here again to be annoyed for an hour. I guess I'll drive to Charlotte to watch comedy since they are good about keeping table talk down. I'm sure that our party was not the only one whose nights were ruined by this table. read more

Wife and I went last night. We had a fantastic night. Comedians were very funny, especially the headliner "would you like to make $40"? Friendly service from the point we walked in greeted by very nice gentleman. Waitress was also very friendly. Drink prices were reasonable. It may look a little shady on the outside (nxt to Arizona Pete's) but it's not hard on the eyes once inside. We went recently to see an improve/stand-up multiple comedians show. The waitstatff was very sweet and accommodating. . We were seated and served promptly soon after our arrival. Our seats were perfect, near the stage (but not close enough to get picked on) and near the BAR. The pina coloda was stellar and their mixed drinks were generously priced. I forgot how much cheaper alcoholic drinks are in NC compared to ATL. The place seemed clean and it was filled to capacity and didn't feel over crowded. Loved this place. It's really nice inside. They have table service, so you don't have to get up to go to the bar. Great atmosphere. The freshly made chips with cheese were fantastic. You may miss the building since it is difficult to see off the street, but there is a sign and its located near a country dance club. Building on outside doesn't look like much, but nice inside. On Fridays, its 2 for 1 admission with a coupon you can print from their website. Admission was $8 pp for the 8 pm show (two shows, 8 and 10) BUT there is a $4 drink minimum per person. The show with two comics lasted about an hour and a half and we thought the headliner was funny. I would not suggest eating there - we ordered wings and breadsticks: breadsticks was a flattened bread served like a pizza and wings were edible but room temperature. The waitresses were quick to get your drink orders. For a minimum of about $20, we may go again in the future, but suggest you look up headliner via Youtube to get an idea of the comedienne. read more

When it comes to comedy clubs the physical venue is the nicest I've ever been to. I have three stars due to there being no place to wait in line outside. So we stood in the rain waiting for the doors to open. Also, our tickets said 630pm but the show started at 8pm.... The staff was very attentive and helpful. The food was less than desirable. Also, there is a $4 dollar required food/drink order for everyone that surprised me, So be prepared for that. Otherwise decent spot. Just be prepared to wait and pay more than expected. read more
