Had my first visit here last night all thanks to Yelp events! I love how they have remodeled from previous tenants. Industrial/rustic type atmosphere. The auditorium can be customized for any even from cocktail tables to standing room only. They have balcony/pew seating on second level. And they have a lounge to order drinks. Parking available is street parking or nearby parking deck. Security was good but not overbearing. Sound quality to my taste was good, not extremely loud but very clear. Look forward to my next event here. read more

Attended a Morgan Wallen concert on a Thursday night at Cone Denim. Had to wait a while to get in after doors opened. It was a 35 degree evening so that was unpleasant. It did seem like efforts were being made to get people in as quickly as possible while still checking IDs and completing a security check. As others have mentioned, the venue is pretty narrow. In light of recent events, I had some concerns about how to respond in case of an emergency. Those quelled eventually but it was my first thought coming in. Sound and lighting were good. The floor has just enough of a slope that I didn't feel bad about blocking someone else's view. As with most places, if you're in the front and you need to get a drink or go to the bathroom, getting back to your group is going to be next to impossible. There definitely aren't designated aisles or pathways to allow for crowd movement. Beer prices were reasonable given the venue/event. Tallboys help prevent having to return to the bar frequently. Best to go to the bathrooms upstairs as they are much larger. I'd go back to an even at Cone Denim. read more

Greensboro needed a great venue like Cone Denim to see bands up close and personal. The original National Theater has been transformed to a great entertainment space for live music and other performers. The lower section is an open floor for general admission. There are a few bistro tables and chairs, but for the most part it's a club atmosphere with standing room only. The balcony features reserved seats. TV's of the stage are all over the place offering a second option for watching the show. Cone has beer and wine and at least in the balcony section, wait service so you don't have to leave your seat for a drink. The sound is very good, though it was a little louder than I'd like in the balcony. It seems the closer to the front you are in the balcony the better the sound is. CDEC is hooked up with the House Of Blues tour circuit which brings great acts to town. I'm looking forward to seeing many more bands here! read more

A decent place for live music. The capacity is pretty tight, though, which explains why they tend to bring in cover bands and the occasional comic. Kind of strange seeing two GSO police officers manning the door. Seems like a tremendous waste of resources to have the police checking concert tickets. The bar is inviting but way overpriced. I strongly suggest pregaming before going to this venue. The acoustics were fine. Overall a nice venue for live music. Now, if they can only bring in some original acts... read more

I made my mind up the day of the show that I was going. I lucked up & got a table seat. Security was great. The ticket people were great. The line was great. The artist was great. Most of the tables were off kilter, and the floor is slanted toward the stage. Other than that and $4.00 for a bottle of water everything was great. read more

I have been here a few times to see cover bands. So far I have not been dissapointed and the price is always right. Usually around $10 and you find Groupon or Living Social deals occasionally. I have also recieved free tickets for other events as I was leaving the venue. It is a small standing room only place with a bar on 1st level in the back with a view of the stage. They also have a second Street side bar with no view and a few tables. You can buy a seat on the floor the day of the event for $10 or reserve limited balcony seats ahead of time for $15- $20.pp. Bar prices are reasonable le, no food sales but alot of restaurants in area. You get a great view and sound from any spot in the venue. You cannot beat a night out for these prices! read more

The place was smaller than I imagined. It was nice, though, because we could see and hear everything pretty well. It is standing room only, but you can rent a table for $10. It was worth it! They have a bar area, not sure how pricing is, I imagine like a regular bar. I would definitely go back and see another show. There were also tables up in the balcony. read more

If you like huge venues with tons of people, long lines, poor line of sight, and low quality sound, go somewhere else. Cone Denim is not for you. But for those who like smaller places more intimate settings, great view from any location, accessible refreshments, clean surrounding, and excellent acoustics, hit CDEC. This place reminds me of the Gem in Kannapolis, NC - full of history and culture. Recently caught a show at Cone Denim and sat up in the "box" seats - which of course was a prime spot to people watch, rock out to the bands, and set your drink. The staff is attentive and fun, and the restrooms are very clean (always a bonus). Parking ok - a deck is around the corner. Hoping to go back soon to see a Journey tribute band - and hopefully other events after that. read more

A nice enough theater, but a bit more narrow than expected. Some balcony-level seats are alongside the stage and offer incredible views of the act. There are several bars in the house, but the beer selection is roundly panned. The carpet pattern on the stairs seems intentionally designed to make people miss steps and trip or fall. read more

Small venue in a small town. I traveled short of two hours to attend a charity concert put on by a local country music station. Seemed like a really nice complex for music. All I encountered was a single stall bathroom, which can be frustrating and cause lines for those needing to "empty the tank." Beer prices were $9 at this event for the big boy cans. Salty, but for most music venues this seems to run average. read more

We had an amazingly fun time with friends here watching The Journey tribute band, Trial by Fire, at this venue! The service was awesome, the bathrooms were clean with little wait time and the drinks were great too! We will be back again. read more

Bar is the typical major stuff you'd expect with a few "craft beers" (the list of which, for some reason, included Mike's Hard Lemonade?), and mostly seemed overpriced (typical for venues of this size). Having only single-stall restrooms seems like a poor decision given the size of the place. Good for a show, but I'd drink elsewhere first. read more

I recently saw Sleeping with Sirens here and this venue was perfect! Even though it was sold out, the place wasn't overly packed like you'll find with a lot of smaller venues. I would definitely return for a future show! read more

The venue was very disorganized when letting us in to our event. I had vip tickets and was the second group in line but there was so much skipping and no one was controlling it. When I got in the venue I was pushed, shoved, and hit by grown adults. The security was very helpful but the crowd was considerably out of hand. I was honestly infuriated that I got here so early and was not on the barricade because of the unruly crowd. A man next to me even tried to choke someone. This venue need considerably more organization and control over its crowds. They last time I came to Greensboro there was also a similar situation to this. I will no longer be coming to Greensboro to watch my favorite bands because, honestly, the people ruined my night. read more

RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!! Took my daughters to concert during NC A&T homecoming weekend. They had all of these young people waiting out in windy and cold weather. As of 7:30 the doors still have not been opened. Clearly on the ticket it states doors open at 7:00 pm. Shame on you guys at Cone Denim. Will never be back. read more

Great smaller intimate music venue in Greensboro! Fun to see a show here! The majority of the music Hall is dedicated for just open standing room. There are some bar tables with chairs on the left and right side of the main floor and some balcony seating as well. Most of the main 1st floor is a large sloped floor where people just stand to watch (and of course dance if the urge strikes..). The facility was very clean and there are more bathrooms upstairs than on the main level (just FYI, girls)... read more

This place is not accessible to people who are overweight or have mobility issues. Tables are teetering stools on a sloping floor and seats are glorified lawn chairs. Don't waste your time and a perfectly good evening trying it. They won't even give a refund after they humiliate you and waste your time. read more

I wanted to go to an event. The tickets were being sold on Ticket Master with an atsronomical service fee. I assumed I could get the tickets in person at the box office for cheaper. I called Cone Denim Ent Ctr to no avail. No one ever answered the phone during business hours. I heard from others that you could buy tix in person but only on days that they have a show. That's fairly inconvenient as there were none scheduled prior to the event I actually wanted to go to. read more
