First time coming to HB Computers and it was a wonderful experience. I was looking around for a…read morereasonable price to fix my PC after I accidentally deleted some drivers. They were super helpful from the start. Did a full diagnostic to figure out the issue, reinstalled Windows, updated everything, and even cleaned my device while I was there -- that was a nice plus I didn't expect. I also asked about missing bolts for my PC case and they actually took the time to look for some at the store for me. Most places wouldn't bother. Pricing was fair: paid a diagnostic fee to find the problem, then $130 to fix everything. Other shops quoted me way higher just to look at it. No upselling, just honest work. Highly recommend if you're in HB. I'll definitely be back for any computer issues.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this business. I brought my MacBook in for a $90…read morediagnostic on Thursday after being told it would be ready the following day. Instead, I was repeatedly told it would be ready "tomorrow"--first Friday, then Monday, then Tuesday. After nearly a week with no answers, I had to return and insist on getting my computer back because they still had not completed the diagnostic. Despite keeping my laptop for almost seven days, they provided no diagnostic whatsoever and refused to refund the $90 diagnostic fee. I essentially paid $90 for them to hold onto my computer without performing the service I paid for. To make matters worse, when my MacBook was finally returned, I discovered a large dent on the back that was not there when I dropped it off. The communication was poor, the customer service was unacceptable, and I left feeling completely taken advantage of. I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the appropriate Orange County consumer protection agencies regarding my experience. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this business to think carefully before leaving their computer here. My experience was that they kept my laptop for nearly a week, failed to provide the diagnostic I paid for, refused to refund my money, and returned my computer in worse physical condition than when I dropped it off.

Detailed diagnostics showed dust particles, spots, and scratches on the glass that Nice repaired. I'm gonna call my repair at NiceRepair a loss & walk away. Can't say the man was particularly nice nor was his repair good either. Brought in my iPhone 16 pro with a cracked camera lens for repair. TLDR: the quality of photos is awful & blurry after the repair, especially zoom. Quality of photos is terrible after the repair especially in night photos. You see the light streaks in the holiday lights. Then when recording video, as you zoom in, the picture goes totally out of focus in the mid distance then back into focus as you zoom in. Close-up macro photos are not crisp. The man wasn't the most friendly person but with the reviews here I thought that wasn't important and he'd get the job done well. He was on the phone when I walked in and after some back & forth he agreed to lower the price for a computer battery down to $240 but was not willing to negotiate at all with me for the camera lens. I relented since he had great reviews. He gave me a whole $5 discount on $80 if I paid in cash. Then tried to upsell me on screen protectors for front screen & cameras. Photos & video speaks for itself. I won't be back. I'm out $75 (plus whatever it will cost to get a decent lens in my phone. I have a long time left on my contract so no upgrades for me) and the quality of my photos is garbage. Take what you will from this review. I hope your experience is better.

I called last Friday to get a technician to come out today, Monday, to activate my ethernet port…read morehere at home. I had a 1:30 pm appointment. I figure things happen and take time so I didn't call until 2:30 pm or so to check on where the technician was. I was told that my job had "not been added to the schedule" but they would see when a tech could be there. I was then told 3:45-4:00pm. No one arrived. I called at 4:15 pm and was told they were 25 minutes away. I called at 5:01 and the voicemail said the office was CLOSED and here it is 5:15 and no one EVER ARRIVED. I realize compared to other jobs this company has, my job was small and not worth a lot of money. However, the measure of a great business is to treat small customers as well as your big customers. If you don't show up when scheduled, fail to add a job to your schedule, and keep lying to your customer about the arrival time of your tech who NEVER shows up at all...why would I trust this company with my larger corporate work? How you treat people matters, whether the job is big or small. This was unacceptable today and I did not appreciate that I had to keep calling YOUR business to find out what was going on, what happened to the tech, etc. Why aren't YOUR people communicating with customers? Why didn't anyone apologize? Why didn't anyone call before close of business to say, "Hey, we're not coming!" I was extremely unhappy because no one cared that I had taken time off work to meet the tech and no one cared enough to even CALL me and let me know what was going on. You guys dropped the ball big time here and were incredibly thoughtless and rude. Update: They just arrived at 5:36 pm. The techs themselves were GREAT and were able to do the work and complete the job. However, I wanted someone to know about the lack of transparency and communication today as it was very upsetting to me. The quality of work and the people you hired to do the actual technical job were terrific, knowledgeable and qualified. I realized it was not THEIR fault today, but I think it's important for people to know about the communication problems. I updated my review from 1 star to 3 because of the actual techs and their skills.
