The flashlight & camera crapped out on my Iphone 14, so I dropped by HB Laptops to get a quote. I found out Rex from Fryed Phones was no longer around, so Jack helped me out. Jack is so honest he told me it would take a day or so for the parts to come in, and asked me to return on Mon. He didn't want me to be w/o my phone unnecessarily. I returned on Mon, and Jack repaired my phone 1 hr ahead of schedule. He also offered me a cash discount. I thought the price for service rendered was very fair. I'm glad that an honest businessman like Jack is in our neighborhood. I would rather support a small biz like HB Laptops vs going to Apple Genius Bar, and giving more money to Apple. read more

I had an issue with my laptop not charging. Best Buy told me the battery was dead and that I'd need to buy a whole new computer--there was "no way" to get it working again. Then I went to HB Laptops. Instead of pushing a sale, they focused on helping me. Right away, they figured out the problem and offered a different type of charger that got my laptop up and running. When I tried to pay them extra, they simply said, "We just want to make sure you can get your work done." Businesses like this are rare. We need more of them. I downloaded yelp just to give this shop the shittiest review POSSIBLE. I brought my phone in multiple days ago to get fixed. The person at the front desk refused to give me a straight answer about my phone for days, and 3 days later when it was time to pick it up she said it was not able to be fixed and that to transfer data it would be $100. I was never once told before that the phone was unfixable. I even got a message this morning that I attatched down below saying that everything but the face ID would be working. Brought my exceptionally slow desktop computer in for an upgrade from the original mechanical hard drive to an SSD drive. Dealt with Jack, the owner, who was very polite and knowledgeable. He said he would have it done by the end of the day and he did, at what I consider a very reasonable price. Even changed the backup battery since it is an eight-year-old computer. Tested it out when I got home, and it is performing better than when it was new. This is a small shop with personalized service from an owner who is a delight to do business with. HB Laptops does amazing computer repair work, they helped me with a new display for an iPhone 10, a Macbook battery that died and apple couldn't repair and now fixing the logic board in my Macbook. My Macbook died and I hadn't backed the data up since before the pandemic. The Apple Computer tech said that a chip failed in the logic board, and it could not be repaired. I was sick that all of my data was dead to me. Apparently Jack likes the Grand Challenges, he was able to pinpoint the chip failure and sodder in a new chip - just amazing. I had a problem with my HP laptop. Was running an update to the bios on the laptop and when it came time to restart, the laptop kept cycling on and off without giving me a sign-on screen.
