    Not a sweater style zipper.
    Jason R.

Poor service. 20$ for a zip fix with railings (like sweaters). Came by 3 days later, product was not ready. They repaired it in 5 minutes and added a clamp. This does not prevent getting off the rails. - Poor service. - Disorganized. -Does not do what the customer requests. Very disappointing.

I admit the boots had some wear, but nothing like this. A legit hole was put in the leather in a way that wasn't even worn down

I have to say I'm not happy with the service. I brought in my work boots because they were so inundated with oil that they had actually become hard. The staff was friendly and told me that they could wash the boots and clean everything off, then applying a product that would relax the leather. Well my boots are a bit softer, but the leather is now ruined after the treatment. I literally have holes and gouges in my boots that were not there before hand - the treatment apparently is extremely rough. My mistake was just picking up the boots without actually checking them over, a hard lesson learned. Needless to say I would not come here again, they had to have known what they did and chose not to say anything. Shady business is bad business. 10/10 would not recommend

Hard chunks of glue around toe area

I brought in two pairs of shoes. One repair went fine, the other went horribly wrong. I had an old pair of boots that just needed the heel piece to be replaced. They quoted me $10 and 1 week. Everything went as expected, and I've had no problems with them. I also brought in a pair of fairly new Roxy new flip flops that had the strap between the toes come out. I've been wearing Roxy flip flops since college and never had a problem, so figured it was just a random defect. I was planning to buy a duplicate pair for $30, but thought since I was bringing in boots, I'd check to see if they can repair this. They quoted me $16 and 1 week, and I thought it was pricey, but still saved me some money, so went for it. I picked it up on a Friday, and looked like all they did was glue it for $16. Okay, whatever works. Except it didn't work, and the strap broke again after wearing it for a few minutes on Saturday. So I checked and saw that Chito's was open until 3p that day, so I went down there at 2p, but found them closed already. I called when they opened again, and they told me to bring it back, so I did, and he said he would fix it a different way and told me to come back the next day, but I told him I'd be back next week instead since I was going out of town. When I showed up the next week, they were not worked on at all, and he promised me they would be done by the next day at noon. I go in the next day, and they still have not worked on it, and told me to come back in a few hours, but I couldn't because I was going out of town again. The following week, I learned my lesson and called first to ensure they were done, and they told me no, but it would be done the next day. So I call again the next day and finally got the okay to come pick them up. It's now repaired with additional stitching and loads of glue, and I've worn them twice without it breaking, but they put so much glue that there's a hardened part that sticks out and jabs my foot sometimes when I'm walking. I'm over it and am going to buy a replacement pair. Basically, instead of saving me any money, it cost me $16 + 6 trips, and at the end of it all, I have nothing to show for it. In summary, they seem pretty good at straightforward repairs that aren't on a tight timeline. Most reviews are positive, but reading through the negative reviews, I can see that they are not timely with repairs, and less common types of repairs can go horribly wrong here.

Horrible service, the owner Chito is rude and the work is half decent. Many other places with better service and better treatment

And began to notice my soles would slip from the ground especially when I would start reversing my bike into a parking stall. Although I'm not at all a gravel type kinda gal- but the slightest ricks on pavement would freak me out while pushing my bike back into a stall. Not trying to lose control of my custom painted motorcycle while looking cool, ya know? LOL I've heard so many great things about Bonita Shoe Repair, but, I wanted to see their past reviews on re soling motorcycle boots. Although the one I read, think it was from Yelp- wasn't as current- but, when I made a post on my socials for recommendations- plenty of my friends in the moto community spoke highly of BSR. I didn't wanna buy a new pair. Not that cost was an issue. It's just that would mean I would need to literally break into new leather. And I didn't wanna do that! When I walked in and met Erica- she was amazing! We chatted for a bit and she showed me two types of motorcycle soles. She had the Vibram catalog and I preferred a sole with some meaty tread. I dropped off my summer motorcycle boots and wasn't in a rush for pick up, since I had a pair of winter insulated motorcycle boots at home. The price was very reasonable- about $100?, if I remember correctly. Erica sent me a text the day before the suggested pick up date, and asked if this other date would work. Which was fine with me, for the lil delay. Because like I said, I wasn't in a rush. But, the fact she communicated with me in advance and apologized for the delay, goes a long way. Definitely satisfied with the service. If memory serves me right- I saw a car cover at the shop that they were walking on. And I could swear, they even fix back pack zippers? But, definitely call ahead for other services they could provide! Thank you so much, Erica!

I will likely try a business shop vs home shop next time. I called multiple times and arranged for a fitting to alter two jackets. First Don said he was available the next day and to call back. I did and arranged to stop by, kept asking for the address, and finally he gave it to me, but called back later and ask I stop by later that day. When I tried again in the afternoon, he gave me an address and said his sister is helping him and will meet with me. Went to the home and the man introduced himself as Don so I was so confused. He said a business partner is sending him leadals, maybe that is Don? The woman (Loan) was very sweet who did my alterations. Anyway, whoever I ended up being sent to was ok but it wasnt Don and cant find her listing to leave a review there. Leaving this here so others are aware they may be sent elsewhere instead of Don. The alterations for 2 jackets were ok. One jacket was perfect but the other was looser and not quite as tailored. Price was cheaper than standard so I was not too upset, you get what you pay for.

When I dropped off my Chelsea Doc Marten boots, he mentioned there would likely be glue residue because of the type of boot, which I understood and was okay with. I figured some messiness comes with repair work. A few days later I picked them up and was honestly surprised at the cost for a fairly simple glue repair. For the price, I expected at least a little care in presentation -- not a full polish, but maybe a quick clean or some attention to detail. Instead, the boots looked almost exactly the same as when I dropped them off, and there really wasn't any visible repair work besides being told they were fixed. About a month later, I wore them for the first time since repaired and by the time I got from my house to my office, the entire sole had already come off again. After paying around $50 and not loving the overall experience, I didn't feel confident going back for another repair. I ended up buying shoe glue on Amazon, fixing them myself, and haven't had a single issue since. This was my first experience getting shoes repaired, so maybe my expectations were off, but for the cost and overall experience, it just wasn't worth it for me.
