I came here for curbside pickup. I ordered a few cereal containers and containers for my flour and rice. I needed something to keep my ingredients fresh and organized. I can get lost in this store. It's an a-type personality's wet dream. Curbside pickup 'curbs' my spending habits and gets me my items quickly. My order was ready within two hours of my purchase. I drove to Ridge Hill and parked in front of the store. I thought I was in the right area but there are so many curbside parking spots, it was difficult to find the right one. I notified them in the order text that I was ready for my item. The person that was bringing out my order had been outside, waiting for me but went back in. I had to call to let them know where I was parked exactly, and then walk out to get the item. The employee explained to me that the parking spot I was in, was for the mall's curbside pickup which did not make sense to me but they explained that their curbside is right in front. There were so many cars parked in the area that I could not view the signage. Definitely look for the actual store's name. Other than that, pickup was easy and my items were in great condition, the bag was packaged well to show that it was secure. Some of their items can be pricey but the quality is evident. You definitely get what you pay for. read more

Hands down, the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Chris, who I figure to be the store manager, is absolutely useless. Has no idea what components went with which of the systems I purchased. Then had the BRILLIANT idea to look past his nose and pull up the order in the system. It was very obvious he barely wanted to lift a finger. I had recently registered for POP and got the 15% discount on this order, so I asked if they could give me a 15% off coupon/code so I could place the order again. And he said "no, you have to create another POP account with a different email". Not helpful. No one is looking for everyone in customer service to go above and beyond, but we should get at least some quality level of service. If you don't want to work in customer service, QUIT. LAZY is the best word I can use. Avoid this location, drive the extra minutes to White Plains. read more

I love organizing things; bins, drawers, labels, color-coding - I love it all. If I ever pursued a second career I would seriously consider becoming a professional organizer (yes, they actually exist). Needless to say, I love The Container Store. I got my first taste of TCS years ago, the store in White Plains was hosting an event open to students going away to college to get deals on dorm stuff. I had always known of TCS but didn't know how much stuff they actually carried. Flash forward to the present, where a big beautiful Container Store is open in Ridge Hill. The store is stunning - wide open spaces to walk around, lots of merchandise, and friendly staff. The store is kind of organized by the room in your house - it's easy to get lost in the organization, it calms me =) I may have hot mess moments in my life, but at least I can look on point all the time thanks to The Container Store (wanna hire me as a spokesman? ;-) Definitely a great addition to Ridge Hill. read more

This location has the best service! Every time I visit, the staff is just super accommodating and go out of their way to provide excellent service. The manager here must really be on top of things! Kudos! As for store stock, you likely know what the Container Store specializes in: Organizing supplies for just about any area of the house. Shoe storage? They got it. Pantry storage? Check. Just name it, and they likely have it. This past year, we decided to use the Container Store's closet design services and had one of our home closets designed and built by them (their elfa product). The closet is super cool, and it has certainly helped us become much more organized! Oh, and it was a complete pleasure to work with the CS design staff! They were excellent! read more

Big & spacious as the container store should be. You don't want to feel 'contained' while inside. (awkward silence) We were greeted upon arrival which is always awesome. I went in looking for a small trash can for my newly renovated room & they had so many it was hard to choose from. I almost left with like 5 different trash cans. The associates walking around the store didn't bother every 3 seconds asking if you needed any help. I like that they gave us our space. If I need you, I'll flag you down. Although I'm a grown woman, my favorite part was the coloring table. And no, the employees didn't judge while I was coloring either! Which was nice, I thought they were going to make me get up. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. DO not get closets from this location. No one knows what they are doing at this location. Installed closets came out completely wrong and wobbly. Managers did not help. It's been over a month and I can't get an stapler to come out and redo the closets correctly. read more

Excellent service recovery by Joanna. We ordered something online and had a courier pick it up at the store (which cost us an additional $115 - but we needed it fast). When it got delivered, the store had sent the wrong items and it created a massive problem for our last minute project. At first, the store offered a refund, and to have our order re-fulfilled, but we'd have to pick it up again. That was not doable at all and we were extremely frustrated - that was when Joanna called and the stellar service recovery began. She re-fulfilled the order, and refunded the entire thing anyway, AND set up a delivery of the order for the first thing the next day. We still had a tough time meeting our deadline, but Joanna's help really made a huge difference and was very much appreciated. read more

I'm definitely a fan of The Container Store but this one was pretty lukewarm. The day I got there, it was empty of both customers and employees. I was able to browse the entire store, without any interaction with a human, until I checked out. The transaction was fine. The store was bright and tidy, nothing out of place, but it certainly wasn't an exciting place to be and there weren't any displays that held my interest. But the merchandise quality is high and it had what I was looking for. read more

This store is located in the Ridge Hill shopping center and offers a great selection of storage options. They have all kinds of storage containers of various shapes and sizes. This is a great place to shop if you're trying to organize things at home or work, because whatever your needs are they probably have something you could use. The store is clean, well organized, and the staff is helpful. My only complaint is that the store is expensive. It's great in a pinch but you can find cheaper prices online. read more

This is an inpatient post at this time so I do not know what will happen and this is a long post please be patient and read through. We bought an elfa closet system during a free installation sale that was ending 6/30/17. We talked to the salesperson, Ill call her "K" who informed us as long as the order was placed by 6/30, we'd qualify for the sale. Well on 6/28 or thereabouts I got a voicemail from container store from a person I'll call "C", who told us that the purchase had to be made by 6/30 or we'd incur installation charges. Ok, I caved in a made the purchase. During the time between the purchase and intended installation date, i asked for a professional measurement to be sure of the closet dimensions and not waste money and time. The installer, Pat, agreed to meet me on 7/3 in the AM for this job. On 7/2 (Sunday) at 4pm texts and says he can't make it. I'm not happy with this and asked for him to do this job on the aged upon date (I understand the process takes less than 5 minutes) and my wife called him, but he did not return our communication. I am thinking that this is a "bait and switch" thing and considering cancelling this order, my wife is the more level headed of the two, but if I don't hear anything by 7/3-Its over. The container store is not the only game in town and I can live without this confusion. If you buy anything from the container store that requires its assistance or delivery, during one of its sales, DON'T. Pay full price or don't buy at all. read more

I have visited & made purchases in the past at this location. However, this time around not such a pleasant experience & it really makes me hesitant to visit/purchase from this location in the future. I love organizing & love keeping things in their place. I am a frequent customer & a POPs member. On this day, that I visited the store it was slow except for me & three other customers. I needed assistance locating an item & waited around for about 10 minutes in the TCS Closet section. I noticed a member of the TCS team speaking with two customers. I waited for her to finish with the couple before approaching her. Once the couple walked away, I asked for assistance in locating the item I was searching for. The TCS member seemed annoyed that I either needed assistance or annoyed that I asked her a question. Either way, I did not feel welcomed at ALL. She informed me that she was working on a 'design' & could not help me. Reminder....there was no one else in the area at that time besides her & me. I guessed she saw the expression on my face, which is when she reluctantly called to a team member & asked if someone else can assist me but they informed her that they were working with a customer. Still looking annoyed, she called to see if anyone else was available. At this point, the TCS member stopped making eye contact with me and proceeded to work on the computer in front of her (presumably the 'design' she stated she was working on & the reason why she stated she could not assist me). I am not sure why the TCS member was so dismissive towards me, maybe it is because I look younger than my age & felt my inquiry would have been a waste of her time or that, I'm an African American woman or maybe because I was wearing a Nike sweat suit & she didn't want to take my inquiry seriously. I should not be making excuses for this TCS member poor behavior & every customer that enters the store should be treated equally. I do know how she treated the couple before me & it was very engaging & she was not dismissive towards them. However, she choose to treat me in a different manner in which she showed the previous customers. After her second attempt to locate someone who could possibly assist me, someone finally came from the back. He was very patient with me & asked questions pertaining to my inquiry so that he could assist me better but I was still left with a terrible feeling from the initial TCS member. I wanted to purchase other items but I left them behind. read more

This is a store that the corporate office can feel proud of--and I hope they do. Helpful staff, great feeling in the store. It was well merchandised, well stocked and everyone genuinely seemed like they wanted to help you. I have long admired the Container Store for making storage sexy--and seriously, I want to buy SO many things when I am in that store. I am disappointed that the new TCS system is as expensive as it is. My primary reason for going in was to buy that closet system, but I doubt I will now--when I discover that it costs around $20,000 to buy the unit I was looking at, but I am hiring one of their organizing consultants and who knows, maybe she will talk me into it. read more

I originally purchased my shoe boxes from the Container store Ridgehill 11/ 6 getting a very nice discount. I didn't open the box of 6 until 12/7 to discover 1 was broken. I called Csr svc to see if an exchange was still possible. They said yes I could take the broken box back to be exchanged.. The manager at the store initially was very helpful but after realizing my shoe box was not purchased individually but part of a boxed set, she became annoyed (why?) and told me next time I'd have to bring back the entire carton of 6 to exchange just 1 broken shoe box. I told her I called Csr svc before coming to the store and was informed I could make the exchange at the store. She said they were wrong. Doesn't make sense to me to bring back an entire large box of 6 men's shoe boxes to exchange 1. Her sudden attitude change was confusing and made me think twice about shopping in the Yonkers store. As always, It's not what you say but how you say it. Good Customer Service is very important if you want a repeat customer. read more
