The one star is for the really nice lady at the counter who served me and provided good customer service. The rest, well ... I was in for a business trip and came across this place. I am always in the hunt for a good cookie, so ordered a chocolate chip and a snickerdoodle - two of my all-time favorite kinds. They looked fantastic and the place smelled delicious - everything seemed so promising. Tried the chocolate chip one first and chewed. And chewed. Waited for some burst of chocolate, vanilla, butter ... something. I didn't expect it to just stick in my mouth in a bland gummy bolus of flour and baking soda. I honestly couldn't take another bite. The snickerdoodle was slightly better, because of the cinnamon-sugar mix all around the outside of the cookie, but the actual cookie itself was similar to the chocolate chip cookie, so again - the rest just went uneaten. If those were the fresh ones, I can't imagine how the ones in the basket labeled "day-old cookies" tasted. I really wanted to like them. I hadn't had sweets in a while and will bake a batch at home on a moment's notice when the wind blows in the right direction. I can't see the wind taking me back to this place, ever. read more

Got 3 cookies the peanut butter with choc chips, M&M, and raisin. From buying them to getting to my mothers house I met with a friend who was like ohh whats that, I am like a Cookie Company cookie so i gave my raisin cookie to her, I get to my moms house she is like ohh whats that delicious looking cookie so I end up giving my peanut butter choc cookie to her. First of all, the cookies here are DELICIOUS But that goes without saying! I am writing this review to share an outstanding experience I had here. I called on my son's birthday after a last minute decision and months of trying to figure out how to celebrate his birthday. Not only did she make a fantastic cookie cake which was his only request for his birthday but she also made two dozen cookies, again on short notice. He had an upcoming event and how better to wish a 10 year old good luck (especially one who doesn't like cupcakes!). I am literally obsessed with this place. Best cookies in Denver and I've tried quite a few. I moved from Nebraska (where their first two original locations are Omaha and Lincoln) and was so excited that there was a location in the Denver area. The only issue is that this is the only location and it is definitely out there in the burbs. These cookies are worth it though! I am so impressed with the owner of this business. I am currently out of the lower 48 on business but wanted to do something small for my wife for Easter. I called the Cookie Company to inquire whether or not they delivered. Though it sounded like they did not, as some of the other "2 AM" companies do, the women I spoke to was more than willing to help. She offered to deliver my order just as soon as she closed down the store for the evening, as she was the only one working when I called. More than that, she even suggested that she could go in Easter morning, make a batch, and deliver them, even though the store was not even going to be open! I asked if she could pipe a small message on one of the cookies (expecting her to say it was impossible). The order was promptly delivered after closing, as promised, and my wife came home to a box of delicious, soft cookies with one special one. It was carefully iced and piped in multiple colors in a way that far exceeded my expectations. To in insure the cookies would not get wet from the spring rain, the box was carefully wrapped in plastic. It was a better surprise than I could have hoped for. I have never experienced such amazing customer service in my life. She sacrificed her evening, the night before Easter, to make my 3000 mile connection come true. The only reason I am giving The Cookie Company 4 stars is because they only have cookies. I would be very happy if they would start making brownies and cupcakes. Their OD cookie is probably my favorite. It's a chocolate cookie with chocolate chips and chocolate frosting on top. I also enjoy the frosted sugar cookies. Their PBOCC (Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip) is also tasty. It's similar to a Monster Cookie. Once again, hard to have a bad cookie at this place. Service is great. The franchise owner is often working in the store and is very friendly. The cookies are $1.40/each. I might consider buying more if they had a special on a dozen (similar to Paradise). Or if they had a 50% off time period in the final hour leading up to close (like Cheryl's cookies in Columbus, OH). Typically my husband and I will buy 4 to 5 cookies which lasts us a couple of days. They do freeze well, which is good to know. Their cookies are enormous - probably 4-5" in diameter. I've burned myself out on the cookies because it's less than 10 minutes from my house... so I haven't had them for a while. But I will return... and keep giving them my cookie business. Keep it up, Cookie Company! And add some brownies and/or cupcakes! read more
