I get a bunch of cookies for different holidays or whenever there's a reason to celebrate. They have so many different kinds, and all of them are amazing. Sometimes I feel silly for getting 2 of this kind, 2 of that, but the staff is usually very patient and friendly while running around the counters to get all the different varieties. They have really beautiful seasonal arrangements, too, with themed containers, not just cookie jars. It's amazing how much more reasonable delicious homemade cookies are on SI compared to Manhattan. These ones are worth every penny! My only complaint is how quickly a 2-lb box of cookies manages to somehow disappear. read more

Go to Rocco's in Brooklyn just right over the Bridge. I feel that each cookie should have a personality .... Whether it's chewy or crunchy they can't all taste the same. That's the problem at cookie jar. Although very pretty and very trendy looking all the cookies taste the same with different add ins. No matter what I've had its always not what I was expecting and that's not a compliment. C'mon why can't we have a chewy chocolate chip to look forward to. I heard of Rocco's form my mom who lives not too far and now I actually drive over the bride not to see her but to eat his dessert. Shame on me haha. Try the cannoli! OMG! By far some of the best cookies/brownies/sweets I've had- ever! We stop by this place whenever we are on SI. The place smells like cookies and butter- it all looks very clean, the girls that work there are nice, there is a covered sample plate, and yes they do serve milk. I think it was $10 a pound the last time we were in, and like $3 for a cookie and a glass of milk. I like the canoli cookies, brownie bites are excellent! read more

Went there 4/24/10 the first time. Pretty nice looking place. Got a box (one pound for ~$10) of cookies, many kinds, picked out by the staff over there. From the colorful array of shiny new cookie jars to the wonderful assortment of freshly baked cookies and cupcakes, The Cookie Jar is a heavenly place to visit. There are a few tables for those who want to linger but most take their orders and go. I absolutely love their Oatmeal Raisin cookies, perfectly chewy and sweet! Also their Mocha Espresso Bars are out of this world. I don't think you can go wrong with anything they make but there are definitely some standouts for me. Loved the Lemon Squares and the Carrot Cupcakes. It's a nice inviting place with a sweet staff who usually has free cookies at the ready for my son. Horrible customer service. I tried to order cupcakes for my daughters birthday party. I want half vanilla and half chocolate cupcakes alternating pink/ blue frosting. They said they charge $5 per dozen for changing of frosting color. And they dont do what i want. And $2 per a cupcake. So i cancelled cupcakes and got some cookies. I felt they r so rude. Cookies are great though. And i drove to cake chef which my favorite store. Ordered what i want. They do what i want and charged $1.25 per a cupcake. And very helpful as usual. Stay away from cookie jar when you order cupcakes. Go to cake chef. read more

Wow. I had my first Cooke Jar experience this weekend with the gf. She went in and just started ordering cookies...and ordering, and ordering. Why so many? A) They're all absolutely amazing (they even make cookies that i don't normally like taste wonderful) B) its $10 a pound. It's amazing how many cookies it takes to make one pound. Seriously. Forget Ralph's this summer. I spent many Sunday's making any excuse to bring cookies to my family's house. I love Italian cookies, especially rainbow. And have loved Royal Crown before came in here. You open the door and the smell of butter oozes out. Awesome! The place is adorable and I feel ridiculously clean. My husband and I love how the kitchen is open and you can see the floor. Virtually spotless. I believe in my own home cleanliness is important, so why not where you eat. So hard to choose. I started by asking about peanuts and my son's allergy. the girl's were so sweet and explained how they make their cookies and one case has nut free cookies, however, the chocolate drizzle is dipped in all cookies, so not a good choice. They did not roll their eyes at me which I have gotten from other places. Disheartening when you have an allergic kid who loves cookies like his mama. Until now, I feel safe giving some to him and I do not have to bake my own or give him Oreo's or Chips Ahoy while everyone else is enjoying the pretty bakery treats.. He can feel special like the grownups and other kids after dinner., I love the Blueberry Oatmeal, Chocolate, Chocolate Cherry,Any Linzer, Dark Chocolate Chip. Consistently delicious. When my husband and I have a free day without our son we go for the Nutella Linzer, Raspberry tart, Cannoli Cream Cookie, Rainbow and my personal fave red velvet. Forget Magnolia Bakery. This one is small, but does the trick. It's so moist and flavorful. Magnolia which is world renowned for their cupcake is dry, tasteless and so large. Who says size matters? lol. These cookies also stay for a few days. They are that fresh. I love the cookie menu. The only downfall is I can't keep my hands off anything from here when they are in my house. And sometimes when I want a certain cookie, it's not there..Hello? Who could really bake 150 awesome cookies all at once and have them fresh and delicious? read more

Everything I have ever bought here was absolutely delicious. They have a good selection and the red velvet milkshake is to die for. I live in Jersey and make a special trip here every week or so just to buy cookies. There is metered parking out front and lots of free parking on the side streets. Totally worth paying the bridge toll for. read more

I saw the review for bubble tea at the Cookie Jar...so, I decided to stop by and try it out. Unfortunately, their bubble tea was disgusting (and, how's that possible?). It was the worst bubble tea I've ever tasted. We ordered two different flavors and couldn't finish our drinks - yuck. I had two sips and quit. I think the Cookie Jar needs to taste their product...I'm sure if they did, they wouldn't serve bubble tea. However, I did buy their cookies. Thank God...because this redeemed the trip. Their cookies were really delicious. A+ on the cookies. As for the bubble tea, they either need to learn how to make it or just take it off the menu. When I went here for the first time in my life (extremely excited, :)), I wanted to try the Oatmeal Butter Cream and Cinnamon S. When I tried the Oatmeal Butter Cream, it was great. When I tried the Cinnamon S, it was also great. I liked the Oatmeal Butter Cream just slightly better. Hope I come back. read more

i had heard about this place for a minute before deciding on getting some goods. the red velvet cupcakes are bomb, the pb chocolate cookies are to die for, the pb&j cookies were okay - not my style, the ganache cupcakes were splendid & the whoopie pies were the best ive had so far. yup. we spent over $200 in there & brought more baked sugar goods to the fam bam than necessary - which was cool because then we got to take them home later & indulge on cookies, cupcakes & netfilx. the only reason im giving it 4/5 stars is they need some low sugar products in there. maybe someone else on another shift knows something about that....? All I can say is yum! We come across the Island to buy cookies & baked goods. The staff are always happy & friendly which makes the trip even more pleasant! We always try to buy a few different baked treats and have not once been disappointed. Someone reviewed if your in need of a cookie fix this is the place well I conquer! Their cookies are amazing! I always have to have a chocolate chip original cookie, but really everything thing they make is delicious!! We also make sure to stop by there prior to any dinner parties or holiday occasions and their treats disappear in seconds! Everyone loves when we visit they know cookies or cupcakes are coming with us. Normally I don't enjoy bakery cookies so when someone brought these to my home, I didn't expect much. These cookies are GREAT - they are almost as good as homemade. Bakery cookies don't normally have much taste but these are savory and delicious. I look forward to going to the bakery and buying them when I go to other homes. read more
