Typewriters. Yep, they still exist. And people still use them. Some anyway. One of those…read morepeople is in my family. And the typewriters get used a lot. Daily. Often for a few hours. I've been known to scour eBay looking for ribbons. And then one broke. The backup was immediately put in its place. And then that stopped working too. And then the search started for a repairman. The place one had been repaired in the past was long gone. So we called a bunch of places. No luck. We stopped by one. Didn't look open. And then we got a call. Someone used their caller id and saw we called. And called us back. And said they could take a look at the machine and let us know what they thought. So off to Myron street we went. A street off Kenmore. We dropped off the machines and a few days later got a call back. One was fixed and the other would take a little longer. Fine. We picked up the one. The other came a week or so later. The price was reasonable, at least for something that requires real specialized knowledge. These types of skills are disappearing with the actual typewriters. So if you ever need a typewriter repairman, I'd try here first. But call ahead, he's not open all the time, this isn't a store, it's a repair shop. So call ahead and find a time that works for you both.

I simply replied that I was trying to match paper and he told me if I wanted paper I had to buy it in aisle seven. I replied with you used to be able to take the paper here to make copies and he said get out and go buy it in aisle seven. And I told him that you used to be able to do it and he said never! Never ever! and I said how long have you been working here and he replied eight weeks so his memory isn't that long and I have been a customer there for over 20 years. At that point, my husband got very upset at the way he spoke to me and told him "don't speak to her that way" and then he grabbed his little microphone and called for back up stating I'm being abused. I'm being abused call the police! Upon which another day them in a mask yelled from across the store "don't you ever go behind the counter" the manager did not investigate, he didn't ask questions, he yelled from across the store because he was now afraid as well so the two they them coward behind the counter continuously yelling while there were too lovely elderly ladies in the store who didn't know what to do. This is what happens when your father doesn't have an active role in your life, this is what happens when you're dysfunctional on every level you I am positive they dial 911. The manager kept going backwards into the back room, leaving they them behind the counter who continue to eat his doughnut. I will never go to the store again. You're better off to actually cut a tree down and make wood pulp and make your own paper then to deal with these incompetent jokes at the store level

I went to this store and encountered a very abrupt, rude employee at the print desk who called out from the back counter to ask how many copies i needed and said that they couldn't do it because they were too backed up, while sipping her drink. I was lost for words when they made eye contact and laughed as she turned her back. Online is not always an option for everyone, some folks don't have computers and struggle with online orders. However, whatever the "policy" is, there is no need to be rude and disrespectful to a person who took the trouble to drive to the store to do business there. I was going to pick up the other things I needed in the store but instead went to Walmart and spent my $60 dollars there. I am forced at this point to order the prints I need for the meeting from you however, I will not visit this store again. Its not the first time I've had to deal with this employee who acts like the customers are an interruption when you ask a question or need assistance with the online printing system. My request would have taken 2 minutes and now I have to use my credit card for a printing purchase of 49 cents!! The population is aging and ALL EMPLOYEES need to remember that not everyone is tech savvy like I am. This happened this evening at 4:45 in the Morrison St location. I held my tongue and decided to deal with this woman through the proper channels, because, unlike her, I am a professional woman and while I was in business I appreciated my customers who brought issues to my attention so I could deal with them and make my business better and more profitable. I hope you will do the same. Sincerely. Betty Singer

The last one was shown the door after 16 years and for that entire time was paid minimum wage. We had to take the new computer to Best Buy to fix the data transfer they tried to do. They sold my husband insurance on the computer that we didn't want or need and charged $24.95 for that pleasure, which they wouldn't reverse. Luckily the lady at the insurance company was very helpful and pleasant when I called to cancel the monthly charge.
