I was on Google looking for a particular edge control and decided to call some Beauty Supply stores…read morethat were in the area. I called, did an item check for the edge control I was looking for (6/28/25) and the man on the phone confirmed they had it! Kelly Beauty is nestled in a lot with lots of parking next to a credit union and Albertsons. When I walked in I saw (2) sweet and welcoming Asian men working the floor. I let them know I called and the guy from my phone directed the other to grab the product --by name -- that I needed and gave it to me. I attended to and appreciated the hospitality. Due to how nicely the store is set up I couldn't help but to look around they have a lot of black & brown products, beautiful scarfs at the front that'll grab your attention. I ended up getting x2 scarfs (long in length, big in width) and some braiding jewelry. My total came out to be $45 + change this included the edge control I needed. Yes, Yes, I know... that's a bit pricey but I believe it was worth it. The edge control if I ordered online from the supplier it would've been around the same amount (including tax, shipping/handling) I needed this immediately so I paid the price, lol. The scarfs were good quality and the braiding jewelry was very reasonably priced. Kelly Beauty had lots of products that some other beauty supplies don't even have in stock. Just sayin'. I'll come back here because I know they'll have it in stock. I recommend due to their vast inventory not due to pricing of course ('cause they're a bit high with some things) and maybe next time I'll find out: WHO IS KELLY!?

We came by on a Saturday, so a swap meet was occurring on the northern part of the parking lot. There was still a good amount of parking near the actual Alpine Village area, so the swap meet didn't affect parking too much. Alpine Village Cosmetics is on the other end of the Alpine Village, away from the Market. It's near the other smaller shops, such as the toy store, bookstore (which seems to now be closed), antique places, and a shoe store. Alpine Village Cosmetics is a good-sized shop with a lot of products concentrating on bath items (e.g., soap, shampoo, deodorant, hand soap, lotions, etc.), with some candies/mints, too. Eleonore kindly greeted us when we walked in, and offered any assistance if we had questions. Super-helpful when we had questions, and provided suggestions based on products that we picked out. We actually found this place by looking up on where Nivea is sold, and bought several other German-based products to try out. She explained the benefits of each product, they key ingredients, and how to use them. All of Lather's products are made without synthetic fragrance, artificial colors, parabens or sulfates. So if you have sensitive skin or are just looking for cleaner beauty products, this brand may be just right for you! Their packaging is also made with sustainable materials, and that is important to me as a beauty consumer. I also appreciate the fact that most of their products are moderately priced. You can find comparable products at Sephora or Ulta priced at $10+ more. I purchased the Ultra Light Face Lotion which is a daily moisturizer that is a non-greasy formula which quickly absorbs into your skin. The Manuka Honey Body Butter smells amazing and I wanted something ultra moisturizing for my dry legs. It's a shame I don't live closer to this location, but there are several good stores & restaurants in this shopping center so I will make it back to 2nd & PCH and Lather to restock on beauty products.

There's vendors selling their wares. some clothes, some food items like peanuts & other snacks. Was on s hunt for quaint Christmas gifts that are unique & this little store fit the bill. There's massage candles, lip balms, soaps essential oils, and some greeting cards featuring her photography/art. Lots to choose from! Customer service is very friendly & she takes the time to show/describe her process. The handmade items showcases her craft, all made with ingredients that she carefully selected, organically sourced. So for quality, artful presentation & quality-a definite 5 The only part that is negative is the area that the stall was located, not her fault altogether but it takes away from the beauty that her products surely have. I can see her store in a nice little cute boutique at a street lined with wonderful cute shops. This stall is featured in other farmers markets one if which is in Palos Verdes--I have yet to explore that one (Im sure that's where this vendor fits right in). Check out Yelp, she has a website where you can browse b & purchase in the safety of your home or wherever you may be if your not in Southern California.
