Aaron Chesky was extremely rude and difficult to deal with and highly unprofessional. Communication was poor throughout the entire interaction. He publicly provides his phone number for inquiries, yet becomes hostile when contacted at the very number he listed. In addition, he appears to discriminate against individuals using housing vouchers or assistance programs, showing clear bias against low-income applicants. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend others proceed with caution and consider other options. read more

They have an employee named Orail White Jr. Orail is an untrustworthy realtor due to the fact that he rented me an illegal basement conversion that caused me a great amount of mental distress due to the many problems associated with it. When I complained, he acted incredibly unprofessional and chastised me as if I were a child. I would definitely not recommend him. He is a scammer and not a realtor you can trust. read more

We knew Greg Hudson was special when he could not even get down 86th Street without enthusiastically greeting multiple past clients and effortlessly recalling details about their families, homes, and even dogs. He came into our life through a happy accident: we impulsively decided to attend one of his open houses we found on Trulia and ended up talking for an hour straight! If I could give zero stars I would!! First time dealing with this Brokerage company.Contacted the listing agent Aaron Chesky via email requesting an appointment, did not hear back. After a a few days I called him since I did see an Open house posted. I set up the appointment and after touring the apartment I contacted and asked him for the application and made an offer ($45.00 less than the asking) to submit to the owner and to let me know if it was accepted/ countered? I responded to him immediately as soon as I received his texts with full name, email, phone #. After several hours I texted him asking for the application again. He responded after a couple of hours, when I texted him if it was late to call him at 9PM since I had a few questions regarding the deposit /app , he responded with yes too late call me tomorrow at noon.The link he originally send did not work either , I had to request it from him again. Finally Monday evening I received a text he was going to run my application, asked me to email him names / ages of occupants which I did immediately, I listed my two kids names /ages. Wednesday I emailed him asking if he had any updates at 12:20 pm, received a response back at 4:55 pm that he will contact owner and he'll more than likely find out following day (Thursday). I responded back asking if he in fact ran my credit and that I do see an open house posted for Thursday (NO RESPONSE BACK). Thursday at 5:35 I reached out to him asking any updates, and if he could kindly communicate with me regarding my application. He responded back with he sent the owner my credit report & my score is great. Today at 11:24 am he texted me that he heard from the owner and they decided to go with a client from their other building , they will pay more , he can't do anything about it and if that tenant doesn't move he will let me know ASAP. I don't get this!! The Real Estate Market hasn't been good since pandemic started, I would think agents are actually caring and communicating a lot better than this!! I do not think he is professional or cares about building a business relationship with his clients. He is absolutely obnoxious & arrogant! He has no issues updating the unit to "in contract!!" For a small rental walk up building I expected to be approved within a few days and was prepared to sign and have checks before this week was up. Bottom line I will never work with this company again! read more

SAVE YOURSELVES AND AVOID THIS COMPANY! The agent (Aaron K.) does not have your best interest at all. My roommate and I went to see an apt with him and when we got there he lied to us standing outside of the apt door saying "Oh actually my boss wants me to show you guys the apt below this one." (When he said this he had a huge Keychain with about 12 keys on it trying to locate a key) Mind you we are thinking that he doesn't have the key or something. Anyway we go downstairs to the at under the original one and it's clearly not what we were looking for.....not a lot of natural light being one of the main things. All of a sudden he goes "Oh! Well I can show you the one above this one!" .....I'm thinking uhhb that's where we just were you idiot. But you proceeded to stand ther fumbling with the keys as though you didn't HAVE the key for the apt in the first place trying to get over on us. We're not stupid! You assumed that 2 young BLACK FEMALES (that you judged in the beginning and know nothing about) would settle for second best in an apt that was pretty much a dungeon. But funny how his demeanor changed when he found out that we are moving from the upper west side and not some far away land...like the heights. Not to mention he likes to talk over ppl and give lectures about how hard it is to find Apts in nyc, saying he's not just out to get a check, and things are here today and gone tmrw.....we know already! Bottom line stay away from him! I wish you all could see his bad acting skills fumbling with the keys saying "You know, lets go downstairs to the other apt. I'd give less than one star if possible. My wife and I had the most terrible experience with two of their brokers back in Aug. We went for an open house and met Matylda which showed us the apartment .We absolutely loved the place and asked about the application process. We asked about application /move in / credit check. She mentioned that credit check is being done in order to make sure that your score aligns with the application.  We were told to send the application to Elizabeth and that she handles this listing.  The same evening we emailed Elizabeth to ask If there is any room for negotiation about the broker fee because we felt like 15% is a bit high.  When Elizabeth emailed us back that she and Matylda agree on 12% we accepted and sent the application right away. We were the first to submit an application on this apartment. After sending the application, Elizabeth has asked couple of questions regarding our dog which we happy responded. Elizabeth also asked for a LL reference letter. I have explained that my LL lives outside the states and I will try to contact them by email. I even provided Elizabeth with their email if she prefers to contact them directly. I have contacted my LL which told me that they would happily send my a reference letter in a week or so. Elizabeth has emailed us back an email stating : " The landlord is interested in your application , before we sign the lease we have to run a credit check". We were delighted to hear the news and of course went right away and paid $75 each for a credit check through TA. We gave up on a different apartment we were applying for, and stopped searching for new apartments. It's important to mention that my wife and I both have excellent score (above 790) and we both make a combined yearly salary above 40 times the rent.  From that moment forward we were just ignored. We saw they scheduled another open house  after they received a report of  our credit. No one has contacted us to tell us where we stand with the application, and definitely no one told us that there are other offers or that our offer is rejected.  About a week after the credit check we sent an email to Elizabeth to ask about the status of the application. Only then did Elizabeth mention that there are other offers. I cannot express how surprised we were with her response. If a broker emails me and tells me that the landlord is interested and before we sign the lease we have to run the credit, I certainly understand that we are moving forward with the lease unless something would show on our credit check (which obviously didn't) My wife and I came to the office in order to figure our where we stand with the application. We met Matylda which told us that she doesn't know any news about the apartment and left Elizabeth a voicemail asking about the status of our application . We inquired about why the credit check is being used as the first step and not a tool to verify financial status. We spoke to Matylda and another lady and asked if we would be able to receive a copy of our credit check. They mentioned that it shouldn't be a problem and we should ask Elizabeth to provide it. We said thank you and left the office.  About 30 min later I received a phone call from Elizabeth saying that the LL preferred another application over ours although we had excellent credit score. When I asked Elizabeth why she didn't tell us upfront that there are multiple offers before we ran our credit , or why she didn't update us until now regarding the status of the application she told me that she have asked for LL and that she didn't want to push me too much and ask for it again (but she failed to mention that they had another open house after running our credit) We asked for a copy of the credit report which she told us she cannot provide.  As a company that it's motto is "People who make every effort to help you live who you are" we surly didn't feel like this is the case here. My wife and I are expecting our first baby and I cannot even explain how stressful our experience with Elizabeth was. read more

Was referred by them by a good friend who raved about her experience renting with them. My friend gave me direct contact to the agent she had previously worked with. I tried emailing the agent to no communication back for few days. Then I decided to call on the 3rd day, where the agent acknowledge she read my email (but failed to reply) and that she would promptly forward some listing that would be in my price range. Another day later no reply. It almost seems like I'm begging these people to take my money and they want nothing to do with it. Never felt so undermined as a customer before. Will be searching for another broker firm who value the sale. Also, decided to give them another chance and tried to reach out to yet another broker. This one called me back a day later and mentioned the same promise as the one before him, that he will send over listings...my email box is still empty with any correspondence from this class F realty group. Better to continue scouring Craigslist in hope for a broke who IS hungry for the sale will call or message you back. This place is a joke. read more

The one star (I'd give less if possible) is because I had an awful experience with Reza Moghadam. He made an offer in a way that I didn't authorize, and then made guarantees to the seller's agent/broker that he KNEW that I couldn't keep. (It wasn't until the contract was signed that I found out.) He then proceeded to threaten me because I couldn't keep HIS LYING GUARANTEES to the seller. Even more disturbing was that the SELLER's agent was the one to point out issues with the apartment, at one point raising her voice at Reza telling him that something wasn't correct, because he kept trying to say that it was fine. Maybe other agents and brokers are better in the office, but stay away from the completely dishonest and miserable to work with Reza Moghadam. read more

The application process was then quick and easy. She took care of everything. Once I'd scanned and sent my documents, as well as details of my guarantor it was a matter of waiting a few days, and then turning up with my checks and signing the lease. So, I've read all of the reviews here, and believe me, after 3 months of looking for an apt in NYC, I can empathize with each and every bad experience. That said, Matylda is the diamond in the rough within an industry which is, admittedly, rife with unethical practices and poor customer service. She defies all stereotypes about real estate agents, providing me with encouragement, support and comfort throughout the process. This is a review for Regina Knight broker at Corcoran Group. Firstly I would advise any one to stay away from this company specially from the mentioned broker. After showing interest in one of the Regina's listings, we've set up a apt view, she was there punctual ready to show us the apartment. After view the apt we have decided to put an application, so I contacted my other broker who was working with Regina on my behalf. After inquire about The paperwork needed for the application, Regina sent us the wrong form and wrong list of documentation, so after submit everything and wait few days she reply us back saying that the landlord needed to see some more paperwork and that I fill the wrong application, also they mentioned that the cretit check fee was wrong, it was $150 instead of $50. After resubmit everything and wait 48hour we was approved for the apt. We scheduled a second view at the the apt just to make sure everything was right before sign the lease. Again Regina was there punctual and with the land lord showed us the apartment, and after A second look I made a request to the landlord(Ina) if was possible to take the living room chandelier off so I can use my own pendant light, she didnt look happy after my request and after we left she requested Regina to stay there for a little talk. For our surprise on the day after I got call from my other broker saying that there was a issue with the moving date..! Regina told us that unfortunately for some extraordinary reason the present tenants will no longer move-out till the end of the summer which is 3 months ahead and we will no longer be able to meve. That has been said I spoke to a friend of mine about this situation and he decided to doble check and inquire about the apartment himself. He called Regina Knight regard the same apartment and for our surprise Regina Knight told he that the apartment is available and ready for move-in in a few weeks!!! So we realize that everything was just part of a big lie from Regina Knight(the broker) and Lina (the land lord).. After waste our time, power and money we haven't got any apologize call from Regina or the Landlord and the listing still available, the broker Regina still working at Corcoran and telling people's lie... Please stay away from this company specially the Broker Regina Knight. read more
