Build Your Own Burger

Came here with my in-laws for dinner. Loved the laid back vibe here. All the servers were so nice! Owner told us the daily specials and she was lovely. The food was GREAT! I went with a build you own burger (bonus, Grass fed beef too!), my husband got a beef on weck. The sandwich was good but the meat was thick cut and as a result, was a bit hard to bite through. (I could see my husband struggle). My in-laws got a burger and a fish fry and they enjoyed their meals as well. The main negative was how loud it was in here. There was a table of 4 older ladies that were so rowdy, we could hardly hear each other, let alone the waitress. Needless to say, once their food came, they quieted down a bit. We highly recommend.

This place is my favorite, the people that work here are the best, and nicest. The food is always great, and it's just a good place to hang out

Cute local joint. Rustic feel but big time menu. Daily specials and live music on the weekends. Great bar with solid local beers representation. Friendly service with a jumping vibe. Fun, filling, and reasonably priced.

Cute little pub... We stopped over for a late lunch on Sunday afternoon. They have an amazing pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries! It is such a perk when they offer something else other than regular crinkled fries. My little one had grilled chicken and french fries, they were cooked perfectly. The other notable thing i wanted to mention is the service. It was slow considering there were no other patron in there other than 3 people sitting at the bar. They do not offer white milk but has chocolate milk. Other than that my family and I had good time, the arcade was a plus!

Bacon, Swiss and mushroom burger...exceptional!

What a great spot!! We stopped in on a Thursday afternoon for lunch. The place has outdoor tables, indoor tables, and my husband and I sat at the bar. There was only one waitress, Tracy, to cover the entire place, including the bar. She was so busy, but handled the place like a champ. She even had time to visit with us a bit when things slowed down a little. I did, however, need a nap after I watched how much she ran around. I had the mushroom, Swiss, bacon burger and it was amazing! The patty was hand formed, fresh and cooked exactly like I asked (med rare). I had tots as a side, and they were hot & crispy.

Stop here! We're miles from home, hungry and like a mirage The Cottage Hotel appeared. This is the bar/hotel/restaurant you dream of. The menu is so good, the beers are diverse and the place has everything from old working pinball/video games to live sports on the TVs to album covers as ceiling art. Just an A+!! Brandon was our "guide" and showed us through the menus/beers. This place is awesome...

Love the Cottage Hotel! My friends and I frequent this spot when I'm back home in Rochester. The bartenders are all so awesome and attentive. They often have live music on weekends, and the food is amazing. The lobster bisque is to die for. I love a nice bowl of it for lunch. The head chef is very friendly and really knows what she's doing. She came out and spoke to us while we were eating a couple times. The caesar salad is also spectacular! The greens to dressing ratio is spot on!! Covers every piece of lettuce, and lots of croutons! This is a great place to become a regular. Kind of a dive bar, so cozy and they decorate for every season! You need to give this place a visit. You won't regret it!

Our fantastic server, Michelle!

It was my first time back to The Cottage since before Covid. And I've been cravin one of their Cottage Burger for far too long. So when a friend I'd not seen in a while stopped by, it was time for a visit to The Cottage. When you first walk in, even if you've never been there before, it feels like yer comin home. Whether you choose to sit at the bar (limited to available seating only), or in the dining room it truly makes no difference. Today we had the pleasure of being served by Michelle (yes, she had her mask on just before and right after the picture), one of many sisters that either currently work there, or formerly worked there. Therefore, Michelle's been trained by a group of sisters that just so happen to be the best servers  found in Upstate NY. Now I said before that I've been havin a cravin for their Cottage Burger! And you know it's gonna be havin that signature spoonful of horseradish right on top of the 1000 Island dressing. Trust me, my burger, as always, did not fail to impress. It's been my favorite Burger ever since I moved into the area, well maybe except for their Blue Burger. It's always difficult to choose which one I'm gonna have. Ohh, and let's not forget their Pulled Pork Nachos! I'm definitely gonna be orderin myself some of those as well, all covered in melted cheese. How about their Famous Fish Fry Friday? Always the best available! Surmise it to say, if you don't go visit, it's your fault, I told ya...

It looked good and close to where my customers work place was. It turned out to be a good choice. I called for a lunch reservation but turned out it wasn't needed. There were a few tables filled but there was plenty of room. The tables were nice as we got a high top that reminded me of a bowling lane it was kinda cool. The chairs were mismatched on purpose and I loved it. They had a sitting area with a big soft looking couch. The menu was a good size and I liked a bunch of options. I went with the rice bowl with portobello. It was delicious. It had picked vegetables, rice, pico and some sort of wasabi drizzle. I would have eaten another. We got an app that was pita, veggies and pita. The hummus was good and the pesto was very good the only down side is it could have had more pita as there was a lot of pesto hummus and roasted red pepper dip left. Staff was quick and chef was on top of her game I would suggest for anyone that is in the area. Stop in give it a try. I will come back and try some other meals. The burgers that came out looked amazing as they went by

This sets the benchmark experience, not just because of the amazing food, but the it's hard to imagine a burger can be this good. Very hard to describe and probably impossible to duplicate The burger is amazing. Kind of a course ground meat, grilled to perfection. It is very tasty with texture that sets it apart from anything we have ever had. Oh, and a custom-made brioche bun that fits perfectly. We will be back for dinner. Anxious to explore the rest of the menu! The owner and leadership team have put this all together. Menu, environment, staff and service, it all clicks. The happy hour menu offers something for everyone both drinks and food. The staff is attentive and well versed in ingredients, preparation and options. Really a great experience. Generous pours and portions, so come thirsty and hungry! Hats off to the kitchen staff and team to put it all together. So happy to have a great dining experience spot in a historic building. We booked an online reservation for Saturday night and decided to go early to grab a drink at the bar. They have a nice selection of cocktails to choose from so I got a spritz and my husband got the smoked old fashioned. Both were delicious and we were able to enjoy on the deck since the weather was nice before our dinner time. Once we finished the drinks we went in to be seated. The ambiance is definitely cozy and moody which I loved. We started off ordering the ricotta appetizer which came with grilled bread, whipped ricotta, roasted garlic and grilled lemon. It was fresh and delicious. The only thing I would suggest is having it come with a little bit of flaky sea salt as it slightly lacked salt but overall very simple and delicious! As for entrees we ordered the burger and fries and the octopus appetizer to split everything. We tried to order the pazole verde instead of the octopus but they were out of that entree for the night so that was a bummer! The burger was juicy and I liked the sauce that came on it and with the fries. The octopus was cooked nicely and not too chewy. We ended the night getting another round of drinks and sitting on the deck by the fire table. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back! It is a bit pricey but for a nice date night the quality was worth it. Staff was so friendly and accommodating as well.

I rarely give out five stars. Between the abysmal customer service that seems rampant these days…read moreand fast, slapped together food, this is a Hidden Gem (promise not to tell anyone, o.k ?) I was done with work, tooling around Henrietta, and thanks to my errant GPS, took a wrong turn down Clay Road. That's how I found this place. Since I came in on the Clay Road entrance, I had no idea it was actually in the Holiday Inn and Suites, on the corner of Jefferson and Clay Roads. Of course, this means that it has a huge private parking lot. I used the Clay Road entrance, leading directly into the restaurant. It's actually bigger than you would think. It's very sleek, modern and cosmopolitan. To the left as you enter, is a gleaming, polished, black marble bar and barstools, with large, flat- screen TVs flanking the bar. I seated myself at one of the tables between the bar and the long, rectangular high top that separates the dining room. On the other side of the rectangngular table, is a spacious, living-room area, with comfy chairs and sofas, and another large flat-screen. It's a great place to gather and have drinks, or just relax and scroll through your email. There were over a dozen people enjoying their drinks and laughing and a couple of teenagers chilling on the sofas, intent on their cells. An impeccably groomed server, Preston, immediately came over and greeted me and gave me a menu. He served me both times that I was there for dinner. He asked about my mother, which was kind. I was impressed that he even remembered, considering the amount of people he serves. He even remembered what I had to drink (Prosecco) the first time. I usually avoid eating in hotels, even while on a trip in bad weather. Between his excellent service, and the delicous food here, I was warming to eating in a hotel, even if I live in Rochester. The first time, I asked him what he suggested; he said their burgers were excellent. I ordered a build-your-own Burger, with cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, and onion. The burgers all come with a side of fries or Pub Chips. Preston said that the Pub Chips are made in-house daily. I went with those. I changed my mind and canceled the lettuce, fearing iceberg. Being rather soft-spoken, he probably didn't hear that, and my burger arrived with lettuce. Fortunately, it was not the iceberg that I loathe; it was a nice wonderfully green and crisp leaf lettuce. I took one look at the Burger and thought "Oh Mama, there's no way I'm going to finish this sucker," as it was huge...like the Grand Canyon of burgers. I'm not a picky eater, just not a big eater. But I had a very light, early lunch, and was pretty sure I could eat most of it. I ate it all. I'm not generally a fan of fried foods, but the pub chips were beyond delicious. It was all I could do to restrain myself from eating them all; I saved some for my mom and it was quite a sacrifice. She devoured them. Last week I bounced in and decided to try their chicken wings. Man, they really give Richmond's a run for their money: large, meaty drums perfectly slathered in delicious buffalo sauce. They were served with a handful of carrot and celery sticks and the de rigueur blue cheese. Nice presentation, too. I highly recommend trying this Hidden Gem. This place not only knocked my socks off, it made them roll up and down.

The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, with some soft music playing, and sports on the TV. Our server was over within minutes to take our drink orders. We ordered the mozzarella half moons and an order of chicken wings as appetizers. The mozzarella half moons were not too great. They did not have much flavor and they tasted kind of old. But, the chicken wings were the star of the show. We got the Cajun gold sauce and wow... it was so good. There wasn't much of a Cajun flavor to it, but it had this tangy sweet flavor to it that made your mouth salivate. And the chicken wings themselves were fried to the perfect crisp. I ordered the turtle plate with cheeseburgers, french fries, and mac salad. The cheeseburgers and French fries were cooked well. The mac salad was lacking flavor and was just kind of watery. The meat hot sauce atop the plate had too much of a cinnamon flavor for me, that kind of ruined the whole plate for me. My dad order their special fried oyster po boy, which he said wasn't too great. He said the fried oyster were kind of cold, and they were put on a plain roll. My mom got a burger, which she said was a fine burger. I definitely will be back in the future at least for those wings, and to probably try some of their other food.
