However, other B&Bs most likely will not live up to Lake Valley Legends! Lou & Vickie make this place so enjoyable. Their hospitality and personalities just make this the best B&B ever! We stayed here for 2 nights in the Cottage Blue/French Yellow Suite - which are two adjoining rooms with a lot of beds - great for a group! The room was so cute and adorable. There was a half bath in the room and a full bathroom across the hall. I absolutely loved the breakfast they provided on the weekends. Lou & Vickie cooked it themselves! The first time we had German eggs - mmmm cheesy eggs - I finished my entire plate because it was so yummyyy! The second night we had peach french toast, which was also very good! There were also homemade biscuits, scones, parfait yogurt with fresh fruits. All the food was nicely presented and delicious! They also serve coffee at 6:30AM for those early birds! This is also a great location if you're visiting Watkins Glen State Park. We were able to walk to the park and save $ on parking. Overall, I had such a pleasant time here at Lake Valley Legends! I highly recommend it! Lou & Vickie are the best! & for all you Pokemon Go players - I found a Caterpie on my bed!

Lou and Vickie are the ultimate of hosts - friendly, welcoming and so kind. They're also fabulous cooks! The place really felt like our own. 4 of us had two adjoining rooms which was basically our own little suite. One room had a half bath inside and our full bath was down the hallway and only to be used by our two rooms which was nice. We were able to come in and out of the house as we pleased. Everything was so easy. Saturday breakfast: Fresh fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries) with vanilla yogurt and granola to start Coffee, orange juice, water, tea, milk German eggs was the main course - i would compare it to a cheesy frittata Then we were on our way to Letchworth State Park, we came back late afternoon and showered and rested. It felt like we had the place to ourselves. Not once did we feel uncomfortable. Sunday breakfast: Ambrosia - homemade and delicious! Coffee, orange juice, cranberry juice, water, tea, milk Peach french toast - so decadant and sweet. It was more like a baked bread pudding. This was the best! Notes: This place is within walking distance to Watkins Glen State Park if you are up for the walk. It's about a 15 minute walk or 0.8 miles. Once you get to the top of Watkins Glen you can even walk home (all down hill on the walk home since the park is all uphill walking!) You can get there early and not pay for parking too (before 8 am) A great weekend at a wonderful B&B!

No complaints on that as it wasn't an issue. It's a very remote location and Internet service isn't the best but hopefully you don't need to use it too much when you're there. Very peaceful place to relax. I would go again for sure.

The kitchenette has everything you need to prepare your own meals. Nothing big or fancy but just what you need. It's the beginning of fall and cool weather, and it's New York State, all of which put me in a lovely mood. However, being a B&B/yurt experience I wasn't sure how to go about the initial check-in. So, my first pleasure is the fact that I met Angela in the driveway, and then Chris came out (it is only fair to-say these two are fresh owners but not new to the hospitality business), and the grand tour was immediately warm and inviting. Homemade pastries, discussions about the wonderful historic, architecture, and themselves relaxed my husband and I from the seven hour trip immediately. We chose a Yurt stay as novelty and were extremely surprised with amenities. Lovely fresh pastries and morning foods, fresh water , coffees, and all the necessary items "to get you going", were provided. Options for eggs in the morning were available. Beds were very comfy. Yurts were very clean. Views plentiful with the option of an outdoor fire and chairs looking at one of the finger lakes available. After the first night we brought back new found friends for their own yurt experience (at 90 yers old no less). They were very pleased as well. Also, one of the best parts was hearing the outdoor sounds as if in a tent but in a homey setting without the tent mess! We will certainly do another long weekend next fall. Highly recommend!

It is additional accommodation under Manor House Estate and about 2 miles away from it in Hammondsport. It has been gorgeously renovated from an old water filtration plant and boosts some very unique features. We always look forward to all getting away and being together for some rest and relaxation. The place is perfect for our needs and spacious. The modern interiors are amazing with great views of Keuka lake. The kitchen is gorgeous for preparing big meals like Thanksgiving and makes for a great place to hang out as well. The dining area is also gorgeous and can accommodate large groups. We throughly enjoyed the games room they have and the bedroom set up is great. It has 5 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is able to accommodate our young family and there is another bedroom with many bunk beds which is also ideal for many children or teenagers to stay in. We also appreciated the outside hot tub and barrel fire pit against the beautiful views of the lake even in colder weather. We also love that they provide a pack-and-play along with a baby seat that attaches to a chair for eating so you don't have to bring your own. My only small complaint would be that I wish the living room area was a bit more cozier and that it would provide more seating and possibly a more carpeted area for babies and young toddlers but those are very minor complaints and doesn't deter from the overall lodging/accommodation of the place. If you need a lake front view for large families to be together, definitely check out this place!

Rarely am I impressed by accommodations, but I was duly impressed with the Acorn Inn. It was exactly the escape we needed after 16 months in isolation. Sheryl thinks of everything and could not be more hospitable. The grounds were impeccable and the bed in the Barn Suite was more comfortable than my own. And the breakfasts were excellent; a perfect start to each day. We will be back and I highly recommend.
