Here you'll find plenty of brews on tap, wines, and a solid line up of canned drinks/seltzers. Most notable though, their house cocktails. I opted for the cocorita and was definitely a fan! If you like coconut flavor and margs, then you're in for a treat with this one. So refreshing and even comes with shaved coconut on the side of the glass. If tequila isn't your thing, they've got ya covered with all the other concoctions -- from a sunshine martini to a Gillian's island rum mixer. And even if you prefer NA, there's drinks cleverly called "placebo effects" for ya! Love the sprawling bar, with plenty of seats, that's right in front of the big open doors letting the fresh air in. Sunday winter evenings seem to be a slower time at the Crossroads Collective, so we were able to easily get a seat right at the bar. Their specialty cocktail menu isn't expansive but is intriguing and my date and I were able to find a lovely little bourbon number that made our hearts sing. Outside there were three tables of people, one large group who was waiting for the baseball shuttle and just drinking. Two larger tables were set up as reserved inside. They slowly filled as we ate our meal. And one other table of two came in after us. There were maybe 4 people at the bar. All this to say, it wasn't crazy busy by any stretch. We started with one server (who was really good) who took our order then we were handed off to another (who wasn't bad). When we arrived we were one of two tables inside. There were three servers on the floor and two behind the bar which was adequate for the number of people dining. Our initial server apparently was working the reserved seating, but even still, the second server never checked on us after we received our food. Also, we didn't receive our entire order. We weren't charged for the food we didn't get, but had anyone stopped by to refill water or see if we wanted more drinks, we could have asked about the missing food. So, all in all, not the worst dining experience ever, but not the best. Being ignored is never fun.

From the outside it is so bland and you are truly unsure if you are walking into an abandoned building or a crappy towny bar. Once you enter, it may take your eyes a moment to adjust if you are coming in from a bright sunny day. Foundation Bar has super low lighting, very moody. There is ample seating and a few different seating options; bar stools, booths, high top tables. Seat yourself. To order drinks you walk up to the bar. There is not table service. The decorations here are great! There are some really incredible pieces and collections! Some I would love to have if I could find them. They won't fill your water bottles, instead they will point to the water fountain near the bathrooms. Three fish tacos, cooked right on the outdoor grill, with no sides will run you $9 plus tax. They have no fryers, so your side options are basically chips. I ordered a double long island ice tea ($8), which our bartender had no clue how to make, it tasted basically like watered down tequila. They have pre-made bloody Mary's and margaritas in igloo coolers, which seemed to be a draw. Credit cards are accepted.

I kept it classic with a Modelo and lime--my go-to for a casual night out that still gives a little vacation-in-your-city-kinda-energy that I needed in this cold weather. While we were there, I noticed a sign about their pizzas, which, in my opinion, is a hallmark of a great dive bar. Who doesn't want a late-night snack?
