A great welcoming little spot off the beaten path. The ladies were friendly and the atmosphere very comforting. We ordered a cuban and were surprised at how delicious it was. We were able to share one as it was a nice size! Only regret is not getting extra mustard on it. We will go back to this spot! They open from 8-2 so get there early! read more

The Country Cuban is a cozy little kitchen serving respectable Cuban sandwiches in the town of Balm and have been doing so for 10 years. The staff is "Southern Hospitality" at best and the decor is that hometown feel. I really enjoyed visiting, loved the Cuban, and can't wait to return for another. I'm just disappointed that I haven't stopped by here sooner. Highly Recommended! read more

This place is so very cool. Wife and I went on a little ride and decided to stop for lunch here. We always seemed to ride by on Sunday when they are closed. Well, when got there and went inside, we were very pleasantly greeted. The inside was clean, bright and charming. Then we met who I believe were the owners. So very nice. The menu is small. But they must do very well with it. We of course got the Cuban cooked in garlic butter. One of the best Cubans we have down here. Will we be back? Oh YES!!! A nice little find. Not wanting to go into Tampa for a good Cuban, we tried Country Cuban in Wimauma. Surprise! It was a really good sandwich and I mean really good. Not quite at West Tampa Sandwich Shop but pretty darn close. It had all the elements that you could taste separately and when eaten together make a true Cuban. Been here about 4-5 times and its a simple, country sandwich shop. I appreciate that these ladies. Tough it out in an area with what seems to me like a limited market where they happily serve the locals and drive-by workers alike. THANK YOU! This is the definition of a hidden gem and I am so glad it is in Riverview. While being out all day and deciding to take a detour to scout new nature paths to walk my parents and I passed this little spot. We had driven past the spot a few times and there were always a good amount of cars there. We decided to stop here today and I am so glad that we did! My mother and I got a Classic Cuban and my dad got a Country Cuban. The service was not only fast but very friendly and very clean. I can say we are still talking about how good those sandwiches are and planning our next visit. I will say this it is worth the drive to find! read more

Drove right past this place many times, read the great reviews , so I stopped in for a breakfast on the go. The reviews are correct! Had one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had - The Breakfast Cuban (with country cured ham) - WOW!!! Do yourself a favor , DONT DRIVE PAST IT LIKE ME! Can't wait to try the regular Cuban ! What is there not to like about this little country diner? The staff is always friendly and the food is exceptional! I'm personally stuck on the Country Cuban and the homemade rum cake. I try to eat in every chance I get and the girls are always fun loving and treat me like I've been a customer for life. OMG take about a hidden gem ! For the past year I've driven by and often pondered of the restaurants name, location, and quality of food. Well today I finally decided to check it out and I was caught openmouthed, figuratively and literally, enjoying a medianoche sandwich. Based on our server's recommendation, I ordered the combination plate, which included a taco, tostada, and sopes served with rice and beans. Every bite was packed with flavor, and you could really taste the care that goes into the food. Los Amigos may be small in size, but it is definitely BIG on flavor! The friendly service, family atmosphere, and authentic dishes make this a spot worth visiting when you're in Ruskin.

It's truly amazing to see a small local business grow from the ground up. They now have 3 locations in the Tampa Bay area. The newest one is now in Valrico at the Royal Oaks plaza on Lithia Pinecrest Rd. I've visited a couple of times already for takeout orders. The first time was for lunch. We split the 2 sandwiches together. The Mojito Pork and Chop Cheeseburger sandwiches were so tasty. I really like the use of mayo ketchup with the chopped cheeseburger. The mojo pork is a little different than the traditional one that I grew up with in Miami. It has more of a tangy flavor than a garlic one. It pairs well with their cilantro sauce, grilled onions, and pickled jalapeño. We're also very happy with their Steak & Eggs breakfast sandwich. I've had this one before at their OG location. I tried to tell my husband that one sandwich is plenty for 2 people. He insisted on having his own. I think he got the message after seeing the portion of palomilla steak. He loved it just as much as I did when I tried it for the first time. Honestly, I love that they serve breakfast all day. They also serve Bustelo coffee that reminds me so much of Miami. Just the smell of it brings back great memories. I sampled it there and it's the real deal. A true cafecito! I originally gave them a 4 star review at the gas station. They've added more since that time including bowls, empanadas, and desserts. They only had a few different empanada flavors at that time, but now there are a dozen different kinds. The Beef, Banana Nutella, and Cuban empanadas are my favorite ones so far. The interior is clean & bright and there's lots of seating. The service is still great. I was surprised to see the original owner there. It's so great to see that they're back again in the Brandon area. I'm looking forward to trying more of their sandwiches and empanadas.

There are lots of tables to sit and eat if you choose to dine in. I had a cuban sandwich and an empanada filled with sweet plantains and picadillo. The Cuban sandwich was really good. The bread is perfectly pressed and buttery. It has actual pernil/roast pork in the sandwich which is very important to me. I find a lot of places around put slices of pork that looks like pork lunch meat and not actual pernil/roast pork but that is not the case here. This is the real deal! The empanada dough is delicious. My guess is they make their own dough because it doesn't taste like the frozen ones. I wasn't crazy about the filling but that was only personal preference/taste. I am sure if I tried a different flavor I would love it. Next time I want to try the cheeseburger flavor. There are so many flavors to choose from. I can't wait to come back and try a few of them, some of their other sandwiches and their bowls as well. Their pricing is good as well.
