Country breakfast with French toast

Amazing breakfast very hearty and nice to sit indoors while it was raining. Fresh coffee with free refills

Loco Moco

We tried Cafe Haleiwa today since we were in the area, and we had a good experience. Husband and I both ordered the loco moco. They ran out of mac salad, and I was able to sub in avocado instead, which I didn't mind. We both liked the loco moco and thought the gravy was tasted rich and savory. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and outdoor seating might feel more breezy and cool. The parking is located in the back. I think we went at a good time where we were able to find parking, but it doesn't bother us too much if we had to walk. You place your order at the counter, and they bring it to you. Everyone was very nice. The inside has a nostalgic feeling. It felt quaint and cozy. We also didn't want to wait very long for our food. If we're ever in the area again, we would stop by.

Amazing food, cute little Cafe, with good clean food. I got the Greek omelet and it was very tasty. The service was good. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food. Self serve coffee and water. Restrooms in the back, porta potty with visiting geckos. Lovely cat came for a visit, which was a highlight, sweet.

Hometown Haleiwa feel. So simple and easy going I loved the surfer vibe. Cute little self serve water and pre paid coffee station. The food may come out on paper plates but it is just sooo good. The French toast was what I needed after my hike to refuel my tummy and soul. The bacon was crisp and yummy. Eggs pretty cooked! I don't think I have sat down and ate so much at one time, I almost finished it all!!! Service is chill and kind. Love this cafe! Have been there a couple times and I am never disappointed

Tomato Benedict Special added pouch eggs and avocado with their homemade fries.

We really never come down to Haleiwa, so when we do finding other restaurants to eat is a must. This was our first time here and we really enjoyed Cafe Haleiwa food. I got their tomato Benedict special and just added the egg pouch and avocado. Such a really good combo. I love how the English muffin was really toasted on the bottom it really made it more savoring. I like their homemade fries but some of them weren't cooked all the way so I had to put them On the side. But overall we enjoyed Cafe Haleiwa food and atmosphere.

Really enjoyed this! Spam was very good, loved my Avocado toast. The loco moco could have used a little more flavor but still very good, super filling and well priced. Cute little casual place.

Cute little cafe in the north shore. Abundance of seating inside and outside. Staff were respectful and nice. Typical breakfast food you'd get at any diner but it was made good. Parking in the back of the cafe. Not too expensive for breakfast.

The waffles are not in the pic, but they were so crispy and yummy, just like the fresh toast, asparagus and bacon omelette.

Food taste homemade! It was all so fresh and healthy. All the waitress were all professional, attention. and beautiful. It's a great place to feel the Hawaiian vibe.

We've passed by this place many of times and thought why not try it out. So we stoped by to get some breakfast. There's plenty of parking in the back. The workers are very nice. I'm not going to lie, it's a little bit run down but that doesn't affect that food quality. The food taste very homey. Comforting and for the price, don't expect top tier high end restaurant. It's like mom or dad made it. The wait was not long and the food was fresh. I'd definitely come here for a quick cheap meal. There's also outdoor seating if you want to enjoy fresh air.

The food is terrific, service is great! Amazing local spot! Definitely a must eat at location! Try the French toast with blueberries if you like that sort of thing.

Twenty years ago, when we lived on the island, Café Haleiwa was our Thursday tradition--it was simply the best! The breakfast burrito is massive, packed with flavor, and always a delight. Pair it with freshly squeezed juice and a great cup of coffee, and you have a perfect start to your day. The avocado toast and sweet bread French toast are also my favorites. This summer, we had the chance to return, and it was just as incredible as we remembered. Café Haleiwa truly is a North Shore staple that never disappoints!

Wanna be served pre-made waffles drenched in whip cream in a plastic plate ? If so this is your spot. The waffles are within the standards of a your holiday inn continental breakfast. Nothing says "American food" like the pic below.

Although some items on the menu were no longer available, they offered us great alternatives, and we ended up having a wonderful dinner. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the view was absolutely beautiful. We truly enjoyed our evening here and appreciated the kindness and hospitality of the staff. The corn was excellent and the ribeye was cooked really well. But the experience had some friction. The host stand felt unnecessarily rigid and disorganized. They would not seat us until the full party was physically standing there, even though the table was ready and the rest of our group was coming from parking. It left everyone awkwardly crowded up front with another party. Service was also slow. Drinks, napkins and basic follow up took too long. We ordered ribeyes and the knives didn't arrive until the steaks had already started cooling, which is a small thing that becomes a big thing when the kitchen actually did its part. The space is nice, but it gets hot and once it got darker the mosquitoes became a real problem. Bring repellent if you are going around sunset. Food wise, it was mixed but mostly good. The drinks were solid, the appetizers were strong and the ribeye was the best thing we ordered. The lobster salad was the weak point, more like boxed mixed greens with overcooked lobster than something worth ordering again. The kids' pizza felt frozen and heavy, but the kids were happy enough. I'd probably come back, but I'd come prepared. Mosquito repellent, patience with the front desk and realistic expectations on service.

I had the Reuben, which came with a salad. The meat was thick-cut and the sandwich was delightful. My daughter went with a salad without any protein added and enjoyed it. This is another location I try to stay away from, but had to try this place! It's located in Haleiwa town near different shops and places to eat so navigating people on foot is the part of the headache of coming here. There were lots of space for parking right next to Stonefish grill when we were there. I was so happy to see they had many healthy choices on their menu. I decided to go with the Caesar's salad and my date chose the Prime Rib poke that was sooo good! What a great combo of protein, veggies and carbs. The Prime Rib Poke consisted of the house roasted prime, flash seared and cubed with sea asparagus, fresh tomatoes , white onions and soy based dressing topped with won-tons. Hey now!

We sat outside and I noticed a lot of flies and chickens which was kind of annoying! Luckily they have indoor seating! My dad said the rooster literally jumped on my plate and grabbed a bite before being shooed away by the restaurant worker. She took the plate away and proceeded to make me a new plate (which was absolutely YUMM). And of course we ate inside! Today was enough for me to say that it has to be done. First the girl at the cash register couldn't muster a greeting or an anything. It seemed like she was mad at the money. I still tipped because I didn't want to screw the people preparing the food. Second the food took forever to come. Then the people behind me were getting their food ahead of me. Mind you I ordered their easiest burrito (potato, eggs and cheese) and a bagel. It took them 25 minutes to work the science behind defrosting a bagel I suppose. The person making it needed to look at the receipt 5 times to figure it out. Before she could get it together she had to change the TV channel. Third the food was basic. Not great and it took close to an 40 minutes to order and wait for it. Save the time and make a Jimmy dean sausage biscuit at home. Never again. Lesson learned.

The place was smaller than we expected, had a relaxed comfortable charm. The weather was comfortable outside so we sat on the covered porch area on interesting heavy well made chairs. Arrived early so the place was relatively quiet Staff were very attentive. Their happy hour runs between 5 and 6, took advantage of the lower rate on two items. Husbands ordered the hamburger which was very juicy and had tasty add ons. It came with garlic fries that were delish. The Tapas we tried were the Spicy garlic shrimp on rice, roasted Brussel sprouts and cauliflower dish. All were delish, be warned the Shrimp dish is very spicy, we ordered a little bread to cut the heat. All in all we enjoyed our dining experience at Maya's.
