Decided to do a morning outing to North Shore beach day to watch waves. Stopped at this little locals place for the second time. Love the feel of non touristy location with inside and outside dining. Order at the counter a they provide a number for your table. They have inside and outside dining out back. The outside dining is campy and I like it. Although we were seated inside, at the time we thought it was connected with a different business. We ordered a breakfast burrito for husband and I had the avocado toast and coffee. Really enjoyed my meal, nicely seasoned. The burrito was huge with country fries. This little gem will be on our list when in Haleiwa.

Amazing breakfast very hearty and nice to sit indoors while it was raining. Fresh coffee with free refills

We tried Cafe Haleiwa today since we were in the area, and we had a good experience. Husband and I both ordered the loco moco. They ran out of mac salad, and I was able to sub in avocado instead, which I didn't mind. We both liked the loco moco and thought the gravy was tasted rich and savory. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and outdoor seating might feel more breezy and cool. The parking is located in the back. I think we went at a good time where we were able to find parking, but it doesn't bother us too much if we had to walk. You place your order at the counter, and they bring it to you. Everyone was very nice. The inside has a nostalgic feeling. It felt quaint and cozy. We also didn't want to wait very long for our food. If we're ever in the area again, we would stop by.

Amazing food, cute little Cafe, with good clean food. I got the Greek omelet and it was very tasty. The service was good. You order at the counter and then they bring you your food. Self serve coffee and water. Restrooms in the back, porta potty with visiting geckos. Lovely cat came for a visit, which was a highlight, sweet.

Hometown Haleiwa feel. So simple and easy going I loved the surfer vibe. Cute little self serve water and pre paid coffee station. The food may come out on paper plates but it is just sooo good. The French toast was what I needed after my hike to refuel my tummy and soul. The bacon was crisp and yummy. Eggs pretty cooked! I don't think I have sat down and ate so much at one time, I almost finished it all!!! Service is chill and kind. Love this cafe! Have been there a couple times and I am never disappointed

We really never come down to Haleiwa, so when we do finding other restaurants to eat is a must. This was our first time here and we really enjoyed Cafe Haleiwa food. I got their tomato Benedict special and just added the egg pouch and avocado. Such a really good combo. I love how the English muffin was really toasted on the bottom it really made it more savoring. I like their homemade fries but some of them weren't cooked all the way so I had to put them On the side. But overall we enjoyed Cafe Haleiwa food and atmosphere.

Really enjoyed this! Spam was very good, loved my Avocado toast. The loco moco could have used a little more flavor but still very good, super filling and well priced. Cute little casual place.

Cute little cafe in the north shore. Abundance of seating inside and outside. Staff were respectful and nice. Typical breakfast food you'd get at any diner but it was made good. Parking in the back of the cafe. Not too expensive for breakfast.

The waffles are not in the pic, but they were so crispy and yummy, just like the fresh toast, asparagus and bacon omelette.

Food taste homemade! It was all so fresh and healthy. All the waitress were all professional, attention. and beautiful. It's a great place to feel the Hawaiian vibe.

We've passed by this place many of times and thought why not try it out. So we stoped by to get some breakfast. There's plenty of parking in the back. The workers are very nice. I'm not going to lie, it's a little bit run down but that doesn't affect that food quality. The food taste very homey. Comforting and for the price, don't expect top tier high end restaurant. It's like mom or dad made it. The wait was not long and the food was fresh. I'd definitely come here for a quick cheap meal. There's also outdoor seating if you want to enjoy fresh air.

The food is terrific, service is great! Amazing local spot! Definitely a must eat at location! Try the French toast with blueberries if you like that sort of thing.

Twenty years ago, when we lived on the island, Café Haleiwa was our Thursday tradition--it was simply the best! The breakfast burrito is massive, packed with flavor, and always a delight. Pair it with freshly squeezed juice and a great cup of coffee, and you have a perfect start to your day. The avocado toast and sweet bread French toast are also my favorites. This summer, we had the chance to return, and it was just as incredible as we remembered. Café Haleiwa truly is a North Shore staple that never disappoints!

Very cute find in Haleiwa Town this morning. My husband and I couldn't decide where to go and randomly picked this cafe in the midst of arriving. Once inside we were greeted by the friendly staff and gazed at their menu for a hot minute ultimately deciding on huevos rancheros. Before ordering we noticed their specials of the day and found Steak Rancheros instead. For them not being an actual Mexican restaurant, their dish was pretty spot on! Better than what I've experienced at these so called taquerias. Even though the sauces they used were probably Herdez Chipotle Salsa Cremosa and Avocado Cilantro, the way it was presented and tasted was delicious.

Sat down and ordered French toast. Took an hour to receive it. Great food if you're willing to spend a good chunk of time waiting.

The flavors felt much more elevated than I expected from a beachside restaurant. Everything tasted thoughtfully prepared, and it genuinely felt like there was a real chef working in the kitchen rather than just standard bar food. The service was excellent and very attentive and the indoor-outdoor seating ambience with the ocean across the street was amazing. Even with the limited menu, I would happily come back to try the dinner offerings. Definitely a great spot to stop if you're in Haleiwa and looking for something a little more elevated.

And it's not to say that I didn't like the poke bowl I had at Beach House. (I mean, what's not to love about about digging into some fresh ahi when you're literally feet away from the beach?) It's just that I had the otherworldly experience of eating from Foodland's poke bar the night prior to my lunch here and I couldn't help comparing it to the legendary Foodland. That said, the poke was still delicious and its runner-up status didn't distract from the rest of my meal. The spicy ahi wonton was a standout starter -- the shallot, scallion, tobiko, and chili aioli approach they have for the ahi here works better for the fish than their "beach house special poke sauce" in my opinion. Top it all off with a plantation iced tea: an island version of the Arnold Palmer that replaces the customary lemonade with tropical pineapple juice. We came in around 2:30 pm so we essentially had the dining room to ourselves after the lunch rush, if you don't count the cute zebra dove bird that walked around below the table halfway into our meal, trying to see if there were any stray crumbs it could peck at. Alas, we had deemed the food too good.

We were given the option of sitting inside or outside. I loved the wood furniture and plants that were used throughout the restaurant. It has the perfect malasada texture without feeling super heavy. The prime rib loco moco was a generous portion and paired well with the sweet malasada pancakes. Service here was friendly, and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. I would definitely recommend Stonefish if you're looking for a good breakfast spot with something for everyone.

We're seated at the corner and forgotten. Now, the food-DISAPPOINTING! We thought it would be authentic fish since the name stands for it! We ordered Chicken and Fish sandwiches. The plating was nice and looks appetizing but the chicken were chicken tenders or chicken stick and the fish was those ready made breaded fish from Costco (at least it looked like it). What made the good taste good was the sauce. So, I recommend if you're really hungry and you don't mind eating microwave dinner and the family needs to unload and relax coz the place is vibing and has a long bar for adults. I'm just disappointed with the food.

The place was smaller than we expected, had a relaxed comfortable charm. The weather was comfortable outside so we sat on the covered porch area on interesting heavy well made chairs. Arrived early so the place was relatively quiet Staff were very attentive. Their happy hour runs between 5 and 6, took advantage of the lower rate on two items. Husbands ordered the hamburger which was very juicy and had tasty add ons. It came with garlic fries that were delish. The Tapas we tried were the Spicy garlic shrimp on rice, roasted Brussel sprouts and cauliflower dish.
