Playing this past weekend, we still required 5 hours to get through the round. We were constantly waiting for the group in front of us to hit, who were constantly waiting for the group in front of them. Conditions from tee to green were very good, except for the sand traps. I hope they have sand traps at the top of their must improve lost, because they need it. Many had the underneath lining sticking up through what little sand was in the trap. There were no rakes anywhere, maybe because there was little sand. Some cart paths have been repaired, but many are still in dire need of reworked they are rutted and breaking apart with tree roots coming through. They did build a brand new bridge over the Brook on #15, their signature par 3 hole. But the course still needs a lot of work to get back to its gloried past.

Tried this course with my son on my birthday. Whatever staff was working on 5/20/2024 at around…read more4:00 pm was pretty gruff to me and not very friendly. He barked at my son and I to make our way to join another two-some playing. This two-some had a cart and we were walking so eventually we played on our own rather than join the other group. I was half expecting the staff to come barging at us yelling to join the group. He seemed like a jerk. The course though is very unique and pretty challenging. Lots of holes are narrow with woods on either side, water, sand and underbrush bushes and marsh. In other words, there are many ways to lose a ball if one's drive, second shot, and pitch are not accurate. The Par 3's are some of the toughest I've ever encountered. One has a dip in front of the hole with water and vast brush in front of the green. To the side is woods and a steep drop on the other side. The 9th hole is a Par 3 that has vast underbrush in front, woods on one side and a barn like building on the other...super challenging. I can see beginners being frustrated on this course but it is challenging but fun for players with a bit more experience. I enjoyed myself overall. Just wish the staff I encountered wasn't so unwelcoming (we paid, were customers...why be gruff?). If the owner/manager is reading this, talk to your staff. Friendliness goes a long way. Still a beautiful course.

Holy cow, this course is a ripoff. It is absolutely insane that they charge what other nearby 9…read morehole courses charge. This course is in contention for the most poorly-maintained course in New England. The sand traps are covered in weeds (not contain weeds, I mean covered in weeds, see pictures). And every single green is not playable. Giant divots everywhere and large patches of grass missing (see pictures). They also have the grounds maintenance crew weed whacking around the bunkers during peak hours. They will run the equipment during your shot usually, sometimes they will idle the equipment and watch you take your shot then go back to weed whacking. It's pretty uncomfortable. There is a pinch point in the course between hole 5 and 6, and you could be waiting for several minutes (I've waited well over 10 minutes before) before it clears out enough for you to play. If a course is going to be in poor shape like this one, fine. But don't charge $30 to walk 9 holes when I can go to Chelmsford for the same price and have all the holes well-maintained. Literally the only upside of this course is that you can get a tee time on a moments notice. I highly recommend going elsewhere though and pay the same price for a course where the owners take pride in it and actually maintain it.
