Since my last review 2 years ago, there has been some improvements, but in general the course still needs much more work before it gets anything more than the three stars. Playing this past weekend, we still required 5 hours to get through the round. We were constantly waiting for the group in front of us to hit, who were constantly waiting for the group in front of them. Conditions from tee to green were very good, except for the sand traps. I hope they have sand traps at the top of their must improve lost, because they need it. Many had the underneath lining sticking up through what little sand was in the trap. There were no rakes anywhere, maybe because there was little sand. Some cart paths have been repaired, but many are still in dire need of reworked they are rutted and breaking apart with tree roots coming through. They did build a brand new bridge over the Brook on #15, their signature par 3 hole. But the course still needs a lot of work to get back to its gloried past. read more

Course under construction- replacing irrigation on all holes. Management telling league members that this will not be complete until the end of 2027! Lots of dirt and weeds in the fairways. Practice greens were removed and new one is not open yet. practice mats were also removed. Trull tells everyone to use the indoor simulators for an extra $15. full price greens fees for crappy conditions. Hopefully, our league can for another course for next year. read more

Not worth $100 a round. No way. Course is in terrible condition: Tee boxes are dry cracked and lumpy. Greens have a million pitch marks everywhere. Sprinklers were stuck on for hole #6 causing a 15 minute delay as all four of had to wait until they moved to hit. Course in general has trenches dug everywhere for a new drainage system. Steer clear of this course. read more

Played on July 4th, course is burned out and trenches and construction on at least 1/2 of the holes. The 18th hole was embarrassing. It was not worth $50 never mind $99. The management and owner don't care, just looking for cash. read more

The course is in fine shape. It's the staff that's the issue. Whoever worked on Sunday in a blue sweater is an absolutely mess. Our group was perfectly gapped and he decided to get into it about speeding up, while being agreed with he starts flipping out and then speeds off while waving his hands yelling. Classic blow um by someone who really needs an anger check. No need to return to a course where they can't be professional or polite. read more

Played on Saturday, 8/23/25. Showed up to find out my cousin had inadvertently booked us for Sunday, 8/24. Accepting my cousin's bogey, I left the clubhouse and started walking toward my car. Chris, from the proshop, chased after me and said he could work our foursome into the course as he was managing normal play and a small tournament. Chris saved our day, had another fun round at Trull! One thing that I've always enjoyed about Trull is that they are constantly putting funding and effort into the course, year in and year out. Tough greens fore sure, 2 putts are very good. read more

Simulators are awesome, staff is awesome, and a great atmosphere! Sims included a lot of advanced features which was fun! Highly recommend

Terrible, waited 30 minutes on one hole to be able to tee off. 6 hour round! $97 to golf on a Sunday, and the bunkers were terrible, around the greens the grass was patchy on every hole. read more

Started on time...12:09 on a sunday....quirky layout to say the least....doglegs requiring irons off the tee with 170+ yard approach...fast greens severely tilted, especially on the front side...lots of elevation changes...5:10 minutes to complete the round....starting on the 12th hole we started getting nagged by the gps in the cart that we were behind....we were waiting on every hole...not sure it was worth the $97.... read more

Played 18 at Trull Brook for the first time yesterday and had a great experience. The tee boxes, fairways, sand, and greens were all in great condition. Compared to a lot of other clubs in the are you can tell they are putting money back into the course in upkeep. Great time would recommend! read more

I agree with everyone else. Trull Brook is Bad and has been in decline for years. The only thing they care about is putting as many people on that goat patch as possible. They make you pay when you book which is ridiculous. The course is an awful mess . Understandably from the rain, but for such a hilly course they have poor drainage and leave large areas of standing water. They are a charging full price even when much of the fairways are unplayable, and made worse by being cart path only. My thought is that they get a lot of people there that just don't know better and they take advantage of them. They have very loud monster beverage carts that drive right by you or behind you while you are making your shot. No courtesy or consideration. Holes with no cart path with No clear signage, and they tell you to stay on the cart path read more

This used to be the greenest most lush golf course I've ever been to and now it's conditions are worn, brown and beat. What happened over the past 10 years? Did the ownership change? No idea but at the price they charge they will lose customers if they don't get back to basics. read more

Golf course is in very good shape. The price is a little high for the course conditions and the rangers are difficult to deal with

$92 for golf and a cart. Course is in decent condition, but not anywhere near "good". Marshall's don't do anything, or they yell at the wrong people. We waited for 10 minutes past our tee time to tee off. Then we waited 15 minutes on the next hole to tee off. Then we waited 5 minutes on the next hole. Then we waited 5 minutes on the next hole. This did not change all day. In total, a 5 hour and 20 minute round. Completely unacceptable. I've played here each year since 2020 to try and give it a shot, and it's actually getting worse. If you can't have a round be at 4 hours and 30 minutes as a max, then stop sending people out every 10 minutes. Or speed up the right people. read more

Great course layout, very unique. As of late-June, greens are in great condition and rolling well. Recent renovations on cart path and bunkers is noticeable. Best cart service, perhaps in Mass. Multiple carts out and see them numerous times on both back and front. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS COURSE - rangers are power hungry Couldn't hit our approach shots because people were on the green and the ranger drove over to us and said "you need to hurry up" we replied "there's people on the green we can't hit" he got mad and told us it was our fault.. yuppie course with power hungry rangers. Stay clear especially for 80 bucks for 18 with a cart. They act like we were paid to be there not that we paid to be there. Left the course feeling unsettled. read more

Updated Review: 257 dollars for 3 people. Trash greens and Nazi's as rangers. Golf is about relaxing and having fun and if that is what you are looking for don't go here. This review is on Trull's golf pro (Allen) - the man is like Yoda... I was always 50-50 w/ driver - this year, couldn't hit it to save my life. Half the time pushing it left with no distance, other half a viscous slice into the woods. Zero confidence and it was killing my scores - in the 50's or I'd just stop keeping score. I bought this driver (SIM2 Max) because it was supposedly 'easy to hit'. Eventually I did what many do - driver out of the bag - tee off with 3-wood or hybrid - not much distance, but at least I'm not in the woods... After being ridiculed for not hitting driver on long par 4s and 5s, I decided to take a 30-minute lesson from Allen at Trull. I Played 9 yesterday - shot 38 - split every fairway down the middle app 250+... Not one missed fairway. What's great about him is he doesn't make drastic changes to your swing, he tweaks what you're doing so it feels natural - and you're not trying to remember a laundry list of dos and don't on your backswing. He explained why I was pushing it left w/ no power (or slicing) and corrected my swing and swing path - two SMALL adjustments, one on the backswing, one on the downswing - both felt perfectly natural. After 4 or 5 balls, I was hitting it dead straight. In 20-minutes I went from ZERO confidence / who-wants-to-buy-my-new-driver to trusting it completely...best club in by bag. As for the COURSE and STAFF - course is decent, but the staff is horrendous. We had a three-some, so they stuck a straggler with us who claimed he was an '8-handicap'. (He said he was walking, then hopped in the cart w/ the single...) This guy was HORRIBLE - backups galore looking for hopelessly lost balls. At the turn we decided to let the 4some behind us play thru since they'd been very patient with us - thanks to the straggler. A ranger caught up to us around hole 11 and absolutely RIPPED us a new one for having the audacity to let the 4-some behind us play thru! We messed up their times! The guy was apoplectic. First round of the year, 70 degree weather too bad poor ranger judgement made our round stressful and unenjoyable. No one was pushing us and a whole 3 minutes behind pace at the turn. We were told my the same ranger we needed to catch up to the group in front of us.(remember no one was pushing us) we even asked the group behind us if we were holding them up and the said no you are fine. Then a couple of hole later we were threatened that we would need to skip a hole and have our green fees prorated. We looked behind us no one on the tee box. Won't be back for a long time if at all . Garbage. They conveniently added an ATM machine for the cash-only areas...won't even let you bring in cold water for your round, only water on the course is the standing water on the fairways. Don't waste your time (5.5 hour round minimum) or money on this place. The best play off the tee here is hitting in in the rough as the fairways are half dirt. read more

RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!!!! My husband, sons and friend went golfing two weeks ago. They called ahead and told them that one of my sons had a disability but was able to play golf. They were told no problem. Although my boys let many other parties go ahead of them, they were continually followed and harassed by staff along the way. They treated my son with a disability like an idiot, not the college educated man he is. Staff continually told them they were holding up other parties, although they themselves had to wait for parties ahead of them. NASTY NASTY NASTY read more

Similar to the 8/26 review from DH. The staff was RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE on Sunday the 29th!!!!!! We were harassed at the 3rd hole, and it continued most of the day, approximately 7-8 times. We were one minute behind, per the expensive cart, and when I said, "we'll keep up, but we have a guy with us that hasn't played in 3 years," the extremely insensitive A-Hole (Shawn) response was, "I don't care." BTW, we were never behind the whole day!!!!! Never, never will I play this course again! In addition to the harassment, the course was not in great shape, and the greens were a mess from people not fixing the ball marks. read more

-5 Stars Just like Mark C I was constantly harassed by Shawn. I know his name because he didn't care how rude he was so he gave me his name and told me to report it. GPS in the cart that I had to take a second mortgage out to pay for said we were 2 mins ahead of schedule. When I told one of the 2 rangers harassing me she said, "we don't care, we don't go by that". I also pointed out the group behind us still had yet to tee off the par 5 we had just finished but again received the same response. I wIll never play here again! I suggest to others if you like being harassed and don't want to be treated with respect like a paying customer should, then this is the place for you. read more

I had to rent clubs the last time I played. When I got to the 1st tee, I noticed they were caked with mud. Since they have no ball cleaners on the course to speak of, I had to clean them as best I could with my bottle of water. When I got back to the clubhouse and reported this to the rental desk, the employee there said nothing in reply, turned away and put the clubs back where they had come from -- without cleaning them. I don't expect great quality in rental equipment, but I don't think it is unreasonable to expect that the few clubs they include in the rental set ought to at least be clean and they ought to care whether they are. That they don't says a lot about Trull Brook. I have also had a cart die, experienced grumpy starters/staff, bad condition sand traps, potholed cart paths and generally poor course conditions. They badly need new management. read more

A perfect example of a wonderful little golf course rarely visited by Boston area golfers. Lots of elevation changes and beautiful scenery make for a solid course. There are a few soggy areas, it can be a little bit slow, and there's a handful of holes I would change, but overall it's a great place to check out and a good deal in the evenings or early morning. For everyone stuck in cape traffic on the weekends, it's important to look north for new courses. read more

- **One of the worst golf and customers experiences I have ever had at a golf course*** - 27 year old male, lives in Mass, loves golf, appreciate when a course is managed properly and maintained well. - I came to Trullbrook for a 1030 tee time on a Saturday morning with a buddy and was paired with two others, very early season, early April..I can't imagine how this course is managed mid season. - Unfortunately we didn't get through two holes by the time 11:30 rolled around (1 hour). There was 2 foursomes waiting on 3rd tee and 2 more in the fairway/on the green. Up ahead at the 4th there was another foursome waiting o the tee for a group in the fairway waiting for their approach shots. We decided to pick up, go into the clubhouse and fairly state our displeasure, state the slow pace of play and to kindly and ask for a refund. - The women behind the desk was incredibly rude and refused to entertain the thought of giving us a refund. She, as well as the ranger accused of us false information and stated the pace of play was a touch slow but nothing crazy. Less than 2 holes in almost an hour?!?!?!? When we asked to kindly speak with a manager on the topic, he/she refused to come out of their office. After 15 minutes of back and forth, we settled for a rain check because we wanted to get out on another course that day that was managed properly. - The course also steals you for $62 dollars in early April for cart path only golf and all your iron shots will be out of the wetlands (mid-fairway). - Course recommendations in Mass: Red Tail, South Shore Country Club, Brook Meadow, really anywhere but here. read more

If you get the opportunity to play here, don't. 1. When we checked in to play they were over the top with making sure we knew to order food fast at the turn. All 4 of us did not look like it was our first time playing. I get it but go after the 2% that don't know this. 2. Cash only really? I can see a cheap 9 hole course being like this but a place where a hot dog, chips and a drink are $15. Only saving grace was the beer girl took Venmo. 3. Wouldn't let me bring a small backpack cooler with water, a cold towel and a cliff bar. It's was 96 degrees. 4. Rushed us for the first 4 holes. Ranger actually came over when we were looking for a ball and said "we play ready golf here and neither of you are standing next to a ball" $75 a round to be treated like that? 5. At the 12th hole ranger back inspecting our carts for outside beers. Made my buddy lift up a can, which was seltzer, so he could check. We were the most non-rowdy bunch there. This is over the top and unnecessary. 6. Condition of the course was so so. Not worth $75. Front shocks blown out of our cart no doubt due to the condition of the cart paths and holes all over. Like driving on the moon. I've been to $30 courses where they at least fill in the holes on the cart path with dirt. 7. Carts set way too sensitive. If you even approach the green cart tells you to turn around or if will shut off. All day I heard carts beeping all over the course. First and last time playing here. So many better places to play where you are treated like an adult read more

Hadn't played in a few years due to rangers being the biggest power tripping losers of all time, which Made for a miserable day. Friends needed a fourth so against my better judgement, I decided to join. This time the morning we were playing, I checked reviews to see if things had changed...obviously not so I didn't have high expectations for a fun round. Made it 5 holes this time before a ranger flew up on us yelling and being as argumentative as possible about our pace. There was nothing wrong with our pace, and we waited to tee off on the next 5 tee boxes for the group in front of us. I have literally never seen a ranger be even HALF as unprofessional as this guy. I can't believe based on every review here that changes haven't been made to their on-course staff. Everyone in the clubhouse is friendly. Besides ranger Rick's self esteem issues, this place is also overpriced for the conditions of the course. I refuse to ever give this place another dollar. read more

The worst....Mark the course ranger. I was about to putt for par on Hole 3 with three others when Mark drove up. We were a diverse group with most of us in our 20s and I in my late 30s. He told us we were backing everybody up and called us terrible golfers. Yet, I was about to putt for par. Told him all the other groups behind us were with us. We were part of a work outing of about 20 people, and we were the 2nd group to go through. Told him we started applying pick-up and drop with the best ball, since the other three in our group were relatively new to golf, while I was not. However, he would not let me putt on Hole 3. I also pointed out to him because of Hurricane Elsa's heavy rain the day prior, golf carts were only permitted on gravel roads adding more time to go to and from the ball. The second Mark pulled up to us, he was extraordinary rude to us for no reason. I honestly thought he was a random golfer, not a staffer. I understood the situation of needing to pick up the pace before he even showed up, but to flat out tell me to not putt for par, was complete bs. Been golfing for over 20 years, and I have never met a golf course staff worker as rude or discriminating as Mark. And it was not just my group, he stalked and ridiculed all the other groups behind us. Golf is suppose to be a sport with patience, instead Mark expects you to run around the course quickly. BRING YOUR RUNNING SHOES. The second we took our time to walk to our ball or take practice swings as normal golfers do, he showed up. Dear Mark, learn to communicate and how to approach people. There are better ways to resolve situations of getting golfers to move along. Immediately calling strangers 'terrible at golf' is not one of them. The other problem I had with the course was the lack of signs. Almost missed Hole 6 because we did not see a sign marking it as Hole 6. Paid to play, and paid for drinks during and after, but I was not allowed to play a full 9 holes thanks to Mark. Did not realize this was a PGA course. There is some nice staff here and the course is not bad, but honestly I would not return when someone like Mark is going to be an absolute white snob for no good reason. AVOID. read more

Wouldn't golf here for free. Worst staff/starters of all time. Completely miserable, rude, and honestly pathetic. Harassing anyone and everyone about " outside beverages ". Witnessed it with multiple groups and our own. We watched them drive to all the holes looking for a reason to harass people. Completely unacceptable and it ruined the experience. I wish I could leave 0 stars. And it's a shame because the course was in good shape. The establishment should be disgusted with how they are treating paying customers. Not to mention the clubhouse was packed and looked unsanitary which should be addressed. Save yourself the frustration and golf somewhere with a more positive atmosphere!! read more
