This has happened now twice with Greybeard where the house had 5 star reviews but was not a 5 star home. They are nice to deal with and the homes are cleaned well. They just need to be transparent about the houses.

We came for our 10th anniversary and our first time traveling without our children. Everything that you need to relax and reconnect is right there. We especially love the sauna treatments. You won't find a better way to detoxify your body and mind than Kendall's sauna. Sit in the sauna and sweat your cares away, then step outside on the lovely deck to cool off on the swing. Or, take a little stroll down to the koi pond and inhale the sweet smells all around you. It's the ultimate in relaxation! You can also get a wonderful massage with Kendall. My husband and I chose to do the hot stone massage and it was so nice. She really knows how to give a perfect massage and focused on our trouble spots really well. It's really great that you can just walk to your massage and then walk back to the cabin for a nap afterwards! We also love hot tub on the back deck. It's so wonderful to sit in there at night and watch the stars. The privacy and quietness are so nice. The cabin is so quaint and relaxing. It has everything you need right there. You can cook a meal, listen to music on the surround sound, or watch a movie. The views of the mountains from the deck and inside the cabin are phenomenal. The bed is also VERY comfortable. My husband often gets back pain when we travel because the beds aren't good. But he doesn't have any troubles here, which is amazing considering how much napping and sleeping late that we do when we're here! The cottage is tucked away in a lovely natural setting, it's very easy to access yet feels far away from it all. If you want to enjoy all that Asheville has to offer, you're just a short drive away. There's a grocery store and a few delicious restaurants right around the corner. If you're looking to unwind and reconnect with your partner, you won't find a more ideal place than Sharon Springs! All information was lined out up front without any surprises. The packages were all inclusive unless specifically and clearly stated. Danielle, the wedding director, stayed on top of every deadline and detail. She was prompt in responding to emails, made excellent recommendations for vendors and coordinated all deliveries for the day of. Planning a wedding event from 1000 miles away is not easy but the staff at Sleepy Hollow made it completely stress-free. The weekend of the wedding they were SOOO accommodating. The Inn was absolutely beautiful, well kept and spacious. Our families were able to relax and visit the day of without the stresses of rushing from location to location. The facilities that they offer for the ceremony and reception are not justified in pictures; you must see it in person. The Wildberry Lodge gives you the privacy of the mountains with the feel of an upscale hotel. The amenities include a hot tub with stunning views as well as the best basement man cave that includes a pool table, shuffle board, and unique amenities like an old school Scrabble board. During our trip to Asheville we wanted to experience the city but also have cabin time. Wildberry lodge provided us with the most relaxing and comfortable experience we could ever ask for. Wild berry is definitely a way to get out of the city and just enjoy the quietness of nature (without going too far of course!) The drive itself is around 25-30 mins from downtown Asheville - there are several ways to get here but the new foundland road was probably the best route. It's easy to stay in the cabin and go enjoy yourself in the city during the day or evening. Ken and Glenda were very hands off and so friendly - if you have questions on where to go or what to do they can accommodate everything! The main cabin has multiple rooms - gooseberry and some other room options. This is where you check in, get breakfast, game room, sit on the deck, coffee/cider bar and chit chat with other guests if your heart desires. The best part of our stay was Glenda's breakfasts! Her recipes were featured in an Asheville bed and breakfast recipe book! We signed up for a bfast time the day prior (anywhere from 8am-930am) and she is usually ready whenever we get there! Our first breakfast included - garden frittata, bacon, homemade English muffin, rosemary roasted potatoes and to finish it off - poached pear. Our second breakfast included pumpkin pecan pancakes, cranberry/apple chutney and sausages and ended it with a mixed berry cobbler. Everything was superb and very filling! We stayed in the honey moon suite to get the full cabin - on our own - experience and it was gorgeous! The bed is super comfy, everything was clean and up to date. It was almost like glamping! Only downside to our visit was the drive at night can be a bit scary if you are not use to driving on mountains. One of the first nights it was raining so it was slightly difficult coming back to the cabin from downtown Asheville. Just make sure you have a car and drive safely! It was a last minute stop on a long road trip and we felt lucky that they had a room for us. The Lodge is unpretentious but our room was very spacious and clean with updated bathroom, cozy linens and good wifi. It's a convenient distance to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock. Kim and Rich were gracious hosts. Rich made us yummy breakfasts and both were enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their community, restaurants and things to do. We would not hesitate to go back.

I do not recommend staying there. It is in a residential neighborhood so the area is weird and parking is limited. Stay away as they do not advertise as promised and have no desire to fix the problem.

The first course was a delightful fruit parfait. The second course was a delicious frittata made by Karen and Steve's famous maple bacon. The third course was a really tasty scone. But the fourth course absolutely blew me away. Karen and Steve are classical musicians, and I knew they would be great. But their music touched my soul and had me in tears.
