This review is for the pool and the amenities that can be found here. It doesn't include the bar nor the restaurant because we didn't order any food or drinks. They are rather strict in letting people here. You need to present an ID and room key card to get in free. Visitors can purchase a day ticket but not sure how much. They give you a wristband that you must wear while accessing the pool area. Pool is decent size and clean. Lots of patio seating in different parts of the pool. Lounge chairs surround the pool. There are umbrellas along the pool side for shade. Complimentary water is provided as well as towels.

My friend is always inviting us gals to soak at The Cove. Seven years worth of invites and I finally redeemed her offer. LOL We were out running errands earlier that Saturday on our visit, and didn't anticipate they'd take as long as they did. We knew The Cove closed at 8pm and by the time we got to the main entrance it was already 5:30pm. We made our way down to The Cove via the Resort Towers elevator. But, before going down- the outside elevator entrance has a spacious outdoor seating area that gives such a breathtaking view of the mountains behind the pool area. With plenty of cushioned seating and I think fire pits. When we received our pool bands- I just wanted to be led to our comfy cushioned lounge chairs to plop our belongings and start my dip in the main pool. Each guest is given 2 pool towels. Our lounge chairs were situated across from the pool walk up bar. On this side of the main pool, the are ladders for guests to utilize. You can walk around to the side of the pool where the bar area is and have easier access with the steps and hand rails. Additional steps are located near walk up bar. I made sure my debit card was with me while I enjoyed the lukewarm waters. We found some open seats at the swim up bar and although my gals and I were enjoying our conversations for quite awhile- not one bartender greeted us. Although the bartender made his way towards our end of the swim up bar- not even a "Hello" and not even a napkin or coaster placement to indicate acknowledgment of our presence. We gave it a few more minutes until we noticed an employee start her shift and tinkering with the register closest to us. Although a DJ was playing, setting the mood, and plenty of TVs were showcasing whatever sports at the moment- it'd be nice to have something to sip on because, we are the the swim up bar. (*_*) Finally the employee got the attention of the bartender and we had service. Since no drink menu was offered by the bartender til we placed our SECOND round- I just ordered palomas for the first. When it was time to place a second order, that's when we asked for drink menu. From our first round, I did ask the bartender his name because (in my opinion) I always think it's a polite gesture to address staff by their name. Since time was ticking away during our visit, we thought of heading to the +21 up jacuzzi but, even by 6pm- it was still crowded like a tin of sardines. We walked over to the family jacuzzi area (I think?) and it was spacious for the four of us and other decent sized groups, coming and going. This area also has a chair lift to accommodate physically challenged guests. During this whole time of my short visit- staff is steadily keeping the Cove area tidy. Removing empty cocktail plastic cups/ empty beer plastic bottles. Abandoned pool towels, etc. Prior to 7pm, (which the bartender told us is last call)- the DJ didn't formally announce last call for alcohol would be coming up- but, the songs that were on at the moment played a distorted manner. And after that distortion- that was the end of the music. With one hour left at The Cove, it was breathtaking to witness the golden sunset.

One large pool and several smaller ones. Also a slide in the back. 21 and over for the main pool.

This is a nice pool area. As with a lot of the places, multiple pools / jacuzzies so you can pick the area you like the best (if you get there early enough, especially on a weekend). If you are staying at the resort, double-check to see when it will be open. They have another pool area that doesn't seem to be open as much. Note, this is not just for hotel guests. Locals or visitors can buy a pass to get in. Makes for a very crowded place on holiday weekends. But, if you can get away during the week, much better and much more relaxing. They have servers that walk around and a snack bar if you prefer to get up and get your own stuff. They have a swim up bar that was not open when we were there. Chairs are plentiful and spread out nicely. If you visit here and the pool at Harrahs, you will note this place looks newer and better kept. Not as tropical as the pool area at Harrahs but definitely feels more upscale. If you are staying at the resort, bring your ID / room key to get in for free. You are given towels at the gate and can pick your own seats, unless you reserved a cabana. They have free, chilled, water bottles throughout the area. Nice to have a bottle you can reseal rather than just a plastic cup of water. Worked for us. Hope you get your chair of choice and...enjoy!!!

If you stay at the hotel, there is a quick entry from the new hotel tower! Beautiful view!

2/5 for service. Waited 15 min for anyone to walk by and take our drink or food order. So my husband got up and waited in a line at a stand alone bar; the bartender left and never returned with no notice. So he went to another bar; another 10 minutes, lady at the first bar came back so I called my husband and he finally got two beers, almost 45 min later. Ridiculous. The main pool, 21+ seemed to be the focus for service, and if you're lounging at any other pools, no one will stop; even when we waved our hands. We arrived around 2pm on a Saturday. Every chair around the main pool had been claimed. Almost everyone is in the pool, but puts a towel on a chair. They need to do a 2 hour max on a chair with a towel only, like Vegas. If you aren't using the chair, then let someone else actually use it. You can only order food at the main bar or from a service person, not at any of the carts, so we finally flagged a server down to order the chicken nachos. Nachos were good, cocktail was good, but the vibe this weekend was very Vegas party like. There was a DJ and it was loud! Several bachelorette parties. There were a lot of families with kids; whom stayed by the water slide and non 21+ pools. Overall, the pool area was very nice and updated. If I returned, I would go early in the morning to get a chair by the pool.

The Cove is where you swim and bask in the sun and they have a 21 and over area which is quieter than the kid pool. The security is tight so bring your ID They have a bar and food too

Worth the price of admission. If you're a hotel guest or want to rent a cabana they have $100 food and beverage minimums. The pools range from Family Friendly to 21 and up with spas and a water slide. With a main bar and taco stand it's a cool spot to relax and throw back a few drinks. Reasonably priced options for food and drink and excellent service from the pool wait staff, it should be on top of your list to spend a summer day or weekend. I used to frequent this pool often before the pandemic... It's nice to see it's open and that people come out to enjoy it.

As far as swim schools go for my son, I can only compare Floaties (@3yrs) to SD swim school…read more(@5yrs). He also had a swim instructor as part of summer school, but that wasn't a swim school. I'm doing my review from my son's new-to-swimming/basic swimmer perspective. Classes that teach more advanced swimmers may be different. SD Swim has certified American Red Cross instructors who presumably use that methodology for instruction (though it isn't specifically stated on their site). Floaties instructors use the Floaties Way, which they're all trained in. SD Swim takes place at Mt Carmel High School's swim facilities, which have the typical chlorinated pool common to most homes and public swim areas. Floaties has their own locations that use heated salt water pools. For SD Swim, I like that each class has an instructor *and* a lifeguard in the water watching the group no matter how big/small. Some groups had six children, some had two. My 5yr old was the only one in his class because the other groups were filled, but he still had a lifeguard watching him while he was being taught. Safety is clearly important here. The instructor taught my son to float on his back (which he was somewhat familiar with from Floaties). Then he was taught to float for a bit on his belly before rolling onto his back again. This was a new technique that made a lot of sense when I saw it. If you accidentally fell into the water and weren't a good swimmer, you can hopefully roll yourself onto your back and breathe. Or if you don't have stamina, you might swim on your belly for a bit before rolling to your back...and back and forth. The instructor was also trying to get my son to sort of swim on his side with one cheek out of the water...in a kind of pre-freestyle position. He didn't quite get it, but I could see where it was going. Facilities-wise, there are about five or six spray showers against the wall to the side of the bathrooms. There are also three stalls adjacent that you/your child can change in. The stalls are only covered with thin plastic tarps that have rips in them (at least, as of this review). A small wind means you could be getting a face full of plastic stuck to you if you're not wary. Or you could be giving someone an eyeful if you really want to change there. Getting my son into the women's bathroom stall to change was a chore, and I realize that some parents don't want their girls seeing penis, which would certainly happen with my squirrelly son. Some doors on the larger outdoor stalls would be a convenience. If you know your kiddo is fine with water on his/head, and you don't mind the regular pool (chlorine), then I recommend SD Swim. Their instruction and focus on safety is admirable. Floaties has the heated salt water pool that I mentioned before. They start beginners off by slowly dribbling water over the child's head and distracting them with a variety of toys floating and hiding in various areas around their pool. It's possible that several classes will be dedicated to overcoming a child's fear of water this way. I'm not sure how SD Swim does it so I can't compare. Lastly, price. SD Swim is not as expensive as Floaties for the same number of classes. This might also figure in to your decision.

My daughter has been in the small groups if just two kids for 3 sessions now. That's 3 weeks total…read more Great experience so far. We've had different instructors each week, but they all are using the same method which is to teach the kids how to float on their backs, the swim on their backs and eventually swim on their front. This is to yeah them to be water safe from the get go. My daughter has learned so much in such a short period of time. I'm very impressed with how sweet and encouraging they are with the kids. She's almost 4 and they are full of praise for her efforts and high fives. We love the week long sessions for 5 days in a row. That's about what we can handle right now. She's exceeded my expectations and I'm thrilled with our experience.

If you want a pebble tec product there are only two authorized installers and this company uses Sol Pacific. I liked that Don's quote was fairly priced and he didn't try to push anything I didn't need. The quote I got from Gardner was almost double and included a lot of unnecessary work. The crew mistakenly installed expired mastic around the edge of my pool and Trevor owned it and replaced it without me asking which I really appreciated. Overall I was not blown away with Don's customer service. In the planning process I was referred to one single website to pick the tile. I didn't particularly like any of their options and asked if there was another company they could refer me to and got something like "not really they all went out of business". Within 15 minutes of searching I found another pool tile company. I asked if he had heard of it and he said he could get those tiles as well. I was told all the samples would be brought before I left on vacation, but Don delivered the last sample after I left so I had pick my tile based on texted pictures so as to not hold up the project. Trevor went and purchased tile grout without asking me my color preference which I found very bizarre. They were willing to exchange it. I never got any materials showing the different pebble sheen colors so I picked my color from a brochure provided by another company. Trevor asked for the final payment the morning my finish was going in. I said the works not done yet. They said ok then just mail it. I said "aren't you going to come inspect the final product?" and got back we don't have problems with Sol Pacific. Ok great, but then why hire you if they are checking their own work and how about that mistake with the expired mastic that happened just last week? They did come back after I asked, but I was disappointed I had to ask. If you pay for their start up they would naturally come back, but I prefer my pool man to own the water and felt penalized for that.

From the start, he was honest, transparent, and never once used high-pressure sales tactics (which I really appreciate). His quote came in fair compared to others I received, and he took the time to really understand our needs. We needed the fence as part of the process to become resource parents for San Diego County foster youth, and Matthew was incredibly thoughtful in helping us make sure everything aligned with CA code requirements. He even encouraged us to confirm details with our social worker and was flexible when we hit a small curveball with elevation changes from a nearby step. Installation day was seamless, about 4 hours for 136 feet of 5-foot fencing, and the finished product looks amazing (pictures don't lie!). He also went above and beyond by cleaning up the area, walking us through how everything works, and making sure we felt comfortable using the gate and removable sections. What really stood out was how easy and genuine he was to work with, it felt more like talking to a friend than a vendor. Plus, the lifetime warranty is a huge bonus and something we didn't see with other companies. I highly recommend Aquaguard and Matthew if you're looking for quality work, professionalism, and someone who truly cares about getting it right.
