I had a WONDERFUL experience living here. The office staff are incredibly helpful w great attitudes. Felicia, Bridgette & Ruby really made sure I was a valued resident. They went above & beyond! They really set the tone for living there. They put in such good energy into anything & everything. My neighbors were kind. The community was peaceful. Beautiful tree's, hummingbirds flew by my balcony. I felt safe. Maintenance responded right away, mail & package receiving system was very convenient. Nice pool. I was apartment hunting and out of the ten I saw, The Covington Apartments and another apartment complex was my top 2! Candace showed me and my partner around the complex and was helpful when I called and asked about the things we needed to do to move in. The amenities like the pool and gym are better than the apartment I'm moving out of and it's location is great; right on Rainbow Blvd. Our move in experience was easy. We applied online, paid the fees, and got accepted. Bridgette finalized our move in and gave us the keys! She was also helpful and I like how she started all the amenities, fans, lights, etc and made sure everything was good to move in during our walk through. read more

Just wanted to leave a great staff review! So our air conditioning unit went out and we would like to recognize (3) of your staff members who were very attentive, respectful and supportive during this process. Renzo(maintenance) was the front line specialist. During these past 4 days of being without air conditioning and helping us maintain a cooler apartment as well as ordering a brand new unit immediately to help resolve the issue. Bridgette, the office representative who was super understanding and helpful on the phone to our needs during this time. Lastly, Felicia, Office Manager! She's an amazing property manager and went over and beyond as well to get this ball rolling. Kept us informed of their next moves and helped expedite the process. Felicia was also very sympathetic to us once we lost one of our pets as well during this heat outage. Thank you for helping get the AC back on especially when it's been 98-107 during these past couple days outside! So my final update and the 101 reason for people to avoid this place. We finally ended our suffering here on 10/31/23 After having to fight with them over charges they tried to add because our lease ended on 10/28/23 they wanted to add 3 days of month-to-month fees even though we paid our rent through the end of October... and we wouldn't be a month to month tenant until November 1st. Yeah shady. But we did get that resolved. We did the walk through and all was perfect. One week after we moved out we received our itemized notice of what we would get back from our security. So even though there was no damage they did take money for the utilities. That is fine. That check was due to us within 30 days of the date of the notice which was November 1st. Now mind you this itemized list was sent to our new address since we did provide that to them as required. So fast forward to November 26th, my husband decided to call and check on the status of our refund as we haven't received anything else from them and the 1st was coming up. They called back the next day the 27th to tell us the check was returned to them..... Really? How interesting. I can get not one but two itemized notices in the mail from them to this very address but the check magically doesn't show up. Yeah ok. Another game and another LIE. I wound up calling the corporate office in AZ and was told they would overnight a check but couldn't tell me why the first one was returned. When I asked to see a picture of the envelope showing the return information they said they didn't have it. Yeah right. Lie again. I pointed out to them that I received the other mail from them, they have my correct forwarding address and even if they sent it to the old one my mail is forwarded so why would it get sent back? Again no answer. Fast forward to today November 29th and the check was overnighted to the office (so they claim) and I had to have my husband go get it. All of this hell with them. All of the lies and games. It is just downright disgusting. My gut tells me they never sent a check. But I can't prove or disprove that because they won't show me anything. None of this should have been this difficult. I hope people who see this really think twice before moving here because no one needs this kind of hell when just trying to live somewhere. Or just trying to move out. From day one we were lied to and treated like garbage and no one should have to deal with that ever. Just avoid this place. read more

This community is definitely not a pet friendly one. I have a 10 lb dog who would cry sometimes when I was at work. Because of this negligible amount of "noise" I needed to move. My extremist neighbor was the only one to ever complain. I got two $100 fines thanks to his claims of "pet noise" and was forced to decide between moving out or having to pay a $100 fine every few days. Found a three bedroom house nearby, and I pay very close to what I paid here. If you have a pet, look elsewhere. read more

I submitted an app on 1/3/23 for an apartment and paid the application fee of $60 (with an additional processing fee, an additional $3.xx). Shortly after submitting the app, I received a call asking to pay the deposit/holding fee of $300 (also an additional processing fee of ($8.xx). Later that evening, I was hoping to look at the property to ensure that it met my needs and to check on the approval process. I was informed that my application would not be processed until the holding fee was paid. I was also not able to look at the unit as it was under renovation, and there wasn't anything similar to look at. I would need to make my decision based on pictures (which might be similar to the ones found on their website). I was also informed that the deposit/holding fee was refundable within 48 hours after paying or if I was not approved for the unit. In essence, putting my faith in a deposit that would not be refundable if I didn't like what I saw after 48 hours. This process isn't customer/future resident focus. It's a shame, the area checked several boxes. read more

I have been living here for two years so far which makes me credible and privy to a lot around the complex. While it has been a pretty great experience so far; I will say there is a high turnover rate which has recently altered my perception. Jay has been a real gem since I first moved in but he's now being moved to another property. His replacement, Rachel is less than subpar and lacks professionalism to say the least. She made me feel so uncomfortable and you never want to feel like that at home. I don't know who does the hiring but they need to make sure people who deal with people actual have customer service skills; there is a certain standard of behavior which should be upheld. The move-in process was pretty easy. Marty was my leasing agent, who was very friendly and attentive. I had a few issues in the beginning. Still, anything that needed to be repaired or replaced was taken care of promptly, and I appreciate Santos (the property manager) for making this a comfortable experience for me and working his hardest to make sure all of my concerns were taken care of. Have impeccable credit and plenty of income but was still denied the lease for reasons not stated in FAQ's or the application process. Also did not refund the $126 application fee even though they denied the lease because they would not allow guarantors. My daughter was moving to Las Vegas for school. Nothing indicated they don't allow a parent to fund a child's apartment costs. Be careful applying to this place. They had hidden rules where they will deny applications but still keep your money. Krysten - I attempted to resolve this via email with your leasing agent prior to posting my comment. The response was a refusal to reimburse my $126 application fee due to "company policy". If you really want to resolve the issue, you already have my email to your leasing agent (initials MB) outlining my complaint. The fact that you do not allow guarantors is not anywhere I can find in the application process, thus my complaint about hidden requirements. I even received emails directing me to get ready for the move and set up utilities, which I did. After the fact, I then got the denial and had to go back and "unschedule" the utilities hook-up. This seemed very poorly handled on your end and was very time consuming and disruptive to my daughter's move. read more

I went apartment hunting for my friend today and The Covington at Coronado Ranch was on the list of places to see. As soon as we pulled into the establishment it looked AMAZING. The wonderful Keairra Ragin assisted us today with viewing the property and answering all the questions we had about rent, renovations, amenities, and more! She was super nice, personable, funny, and all around a wonderful person! The apartments she showed us were super clean, spacious, and looked just like the photos she showed us earlier in her presentation. I once gave this place a glowing review because the staff is friendly, but Beware. This place is very outdated. On the plus side, their front office staff is friendly and ready to help. And maintenance will respond right away to fix a lot of the outdated appliances, etc. The last incident had to do with my A/C catching fire... The a/c vents are in the ceiling and when my living room filled with smoke a few days ago (my fire alarms didn't go off either), I noticed it was coming from the main hallway vent, so when I opened it and looked inside, sparks flew and everything inside of the ceiling was temporarily in flames. I jumped down from the ladder to call 911, but the flames died down quickly. Afraid it would catch fire again, I turned off the unit and called the after hours on-call number. The on-call guy offered me a portable a/c unit until it could be fixed in the morning, but I have a 9-year-old and the smell from the burnt grease & smoke was nauseating, so we decided to stay with my parents for the following 2 nights while the apartment aired out. The following day they fixed my a/c and followed up by phone to let me know all was well and that I could return to my apartment. There was still a burnt smell coming from the vent, so today they sent a crew to clean out the vents. It has been a long history since I moved in about a year ago... I was promised a unit by the pool, but ended up being assigned to a noisy unit facing South Rainbow because the resident of the unit I initially chose refused to vacate on time. I was given the choice to either wait 45 days for the other tenant to be evicted, or take the next best thing. Upon arrival, my front door key didn't work. After 3 separate trips to the front office and numerous key copies made, we finally got a key to turn in the lock and work. Then on the 2nd or 3rd day, the air conditioner broke. That was an omen. I've had to make a couple calls about the a/c during my time here prior to it catching fire. It wouldn't shut itself off for some reason. The dishwasher was moldy and outdated when I moved in, but I hardly used it, so I tolerated its condition. When it finally broke altogether, I was promised a new one, but all they did was install an old, dingy model that was still operable. There are mold & mildew stains inside of the one I currently have in place. Both the washer AND dryer have broken and been repaired at separate times within the year too. The neighbors below me continue to play loud music at all hours and after several months, I had to formally complain about the noise. The noise still continues to this day. I don't complain because I'm almost out of here anyway and I don't want to deal with an angry neighbor situation. Parking can be an issue after hours. The dumpsters are inconveniently located and often overflowing. The list goes on...that's apartment living. Luckily for me, I am 6 days from moving out. My misfortune has been experiencing everything break within the year I was here. It has not been a good experience, but it's been tolerable. read more

If I could leave this ghetto apartment a -400 star review, I would. Where do I start? We moved out a couple months ago after living there for 12 months. We had just moved back to Vegas and were in a hurry to find a place so we basically settled for this one. After our 1-year lease was up, we went bye bye as fast as possible. At first, it wasn't so horrible. It was a place to crash while we looked into buying a home. Whatever. The building was probably built around 2000 and it's clear they've pretty much never done any major renovations to keep it looking modern. The appliances are just plain lame. The pool is okay except for the noise at night from a-hole tenants. But that's the only positive I can think of. The exterior is boring. They're too cheap to paint. The interior is equally boring. The appliances are straight out of 2002. They simply don't have any interest in upgrading the facilities. I still have a friend who lives here that is getting ready to move. I went into his apartment recently and it looks the same as mine. When I first moved there, the people weren't horrible. But I think they're now just pulling tenants straight from prison. If you walk around the parking lot, you'll see a mix of white trailer park trash rejects wearing muscle shirts, meth addicts, and ghetto trash. There are few normal looking people here. At night, it's tough to sleep because the clowns living here are so loud. Our neighbor blasted terrible music daily. The ceiling shook. People don't walk by outside quietly and respectfully. No, they make sure you know they're walking by which is especially frustrating when you're trying to sleep. The pool is always loud at night. They claim to have quiet hours but no one follows them and management doesn't try to stop anyone from being loud after hours. There are so many break ins here it's pathetic. And that's no surprise considering the quality of folks they let live here. I'm sure they'll allow even convicted rapists and child molesters here. They'll take anyone. Imagine bringing the trailer park out to the ghetto. That's basically what you'll find at Covington. Don't ever live here. I don't care that it's the cheapest apartment in the SW. I recently sold my house and needed a temporary residence until my new home builds. I've been in constant communication with The Covington's Leasing Agent, Jing Wang, from the beginning process of listing my house, to checking availability during my timelines and a week before close of escrow where she found me a perfect 2 bedroom apartment for my timeline. She's very efficient, very helpful and she not only met, but exceeded my expectations. She's made my moving experience very easy and the transition was seemless. Thank you Jing! You're the best! The property is very well maintained. Any issues I've had were addressed in a timely manner. There are 3 pools, 1 of which is heated. There's a 24 hour fitness center and clubhouse. The bedrooms are huge and the apartment is spacious. All of the apartments come with an alarm system. The neighbors are nice. They are very welcoming. We have lived here since the complex was built. Our New Reserved Parking Space March 05-06-2019 Work done on 03-05-2019 Thanks to the complex where we live. It means a lot to us. More than words can say. I can now get Mildred Vearlene Sullivan Apgar in and out of the truck a lot easier. And it's also comforting to know we will have a parking space when we get home that's close to our apartment. Recently I have also been talking with Marty and he as well is great. I also want to say that the maintenance staff has been great - I have needed them a few times most recently yesterday my air conditioner went out. I don't know the name of the gentleman that came three times yesterday to get the portable one set up until the unit could be fixed but even though it was after 5pm. and he had to come back twice to get the window above the portable sealed so the hot air did not come in he was very patient with me. I am disabled and can not do very much. He got the space for the portable cleared for me. The unit is repaired and working today. read more

I lived here from 2015-2018. I couldn't be more happy with the time spent at Covington. They offered military discount of waiving my security deposit and some other fees and were extremely patient as I took some time to decide which available apartment I wanted to move into. Let's get into what you're interested in: COST I began paying under around $900 for a 2bed/2bath in 2015 and the rent went up $50 every year. Bummer, but it was always lower than the current move-in rate for the same option. A plus was that my annual lease renewal came with a free carpet cleaning and $200 off my first month's rent. LOCATION Rainbow/Robindale is the ideal area I was searching for in the SW. I was close to absolutely everything and resided in a safe and quiet area. Oyshi sushi is 50ft away, smack in the middle of Smith's & Albertsons, and in between (2) different Walmarts. EOS fitness is less than 10 minutes and it's in the middle of both LVAC locations. Food, bars and the freeway are all near. Less than a 10min drive to the South Outlets. PARKING Overhead parking requires the permit they give per tenant. Depending on the current residents, it could get pretty scarce, however, over the years I saw this change frequently. I never had an issue to where parking became a nuisance, rather, just an bit longer of a walk if I decided to come home in the late night hours. MAINTENANCE Simply amazing. Never, in (3) years had I put in a request that didn't get attended to in the same day. The employees were awesome! COMPLEX Bugs. This will be a huge factor for some people, however, having lived and moved to locations frequently I can tell you that it's all dependent on the time of year and area. Crickets and water bugs are Everywhere. It bothered me my first year but by the second I was quick stepping and dodging them like a pro and without really giving it much thought. Residents were quiet in my area, although I was aware of some recreational smoke and not-so-thoughtful pet owners. Dog waste was annoying at times, but the fantastic Maintenance people do their rounds and clean up as often as possible. As a whole, I loved my time here. A gated community with awesome sized apartments and a great staff (Coy and Jay were the best!!) is exactly what I was looking for and happily found. read more

I hate this place. I have lived here 1 week. I wanted to move out after 1 night. After the first night I woke up the next morning to a domestic dispute in the Parking lot which ultimately led to 4 police cars being called in. Bugs bugs bugs. So many people speed through the community. Watch out! Oh and police sirens every night. And all day. The first day of using my garage, I was told by the inhabitant above that I was too loud. I didn't do anything but park my car in there. No radio on or anything. Took me like 20 seconds. He opened his window and yelled at me "yo dog, yo dog! I can hear all that shit bro!" I hate those people that act like that. And it seems to be full of those people here. Welcome to the ghetto! It's called Covington but should be more like Compton! DO NOT RENT HERE. DO NOT. I've been living here for almost a year and I'll not be renewing my lease. Over the past year, the property has changed managers MANY times. It's hard to be on top of things when there's no one who can follow up with you. When there were issues that we wanted to address with a manager, we called and left messages, but no one has ever called us back. The gate is a joke. Sometimes it stays open all day; lines of cars park outside waiting for a resident to drive in so they can follow. With that said, parking is a nightmare. With no assigned parking sports, my husband and I have had to park far away many times. Most neighbors are rude and loud. I bought a brand new car 4 months ago, and the car has been scratched and dented many times. I made a comment to office staff and they said there's nothing they can do. I have seen people jumping the gate at night. There's nothing management can do about that either. It's no surprise there are so many break-ins here. When we signed our lease, they claimed there's security on site. I saw the security person at the gym once, working out. Another time, he was sitting in his car playing games. With all the noise that goes on after hours, it's very hard to believe there was ever a security patrol here. Some employees are residents, which makes enforcing rules pretty tough. One of my neighbors, also an employee, used to leave her trash out days at a time. We complained twice, especially after my husband saw rats coming out of her trash, but nothing was done. The utility bill is ridiculous. My husband and I have been paying over $50/month; now that we're searching for a new place, we found out most places charge a fixed fee of about $35/month. We received a letter a couple of weeks before our 60-day move out date was due, thanking us for our business and informing us that rent would be up by $50, for a total of $970/month for a 1-bedroom, if we chose to stay. So, let me think...you're barely offering me what was promised when we signed the lease, and yet you want more money? This one was a no-brainer! read more

I used to think this apartment was so nice and very convenient with all the shopping areas close to the neighborhood. With a gated area you would think you're safe from trespassers or it prevents robbers getting in you're definitely wrong. My advice: DO NOT MOVE HERE. This is robbery central. For months, and months, this apartment, the apartment next to it, and the apartment down the street from Robindale / Jones always get hit. You don't want to put yourself or your family in fear that someone will break into your home taking all your valuable stuff. I also got my package stolen that cost over $200. There's no cameras here so you have to provide one for your home. My biggest concern is the robberies that go on here. About a month ago they sent a flyer that warns us about home invasion. But as a resident we shouldn't have to feel like our home is a target. Last night, over four homes got broken into. 3:1 didn't know the security code because the office failed to explain the new security system which lead to that one apartment with their stuff being safe and sound. ( Good job !) The security has only one employee trying to monitor the entire property which doesn't help because within the first hour of his shift two houses already got broke down. Save yourself and your money. Move on to the next apartment that's MORE SECURE. read more

Back to two starts from one. Still a bug problem that is mainly outside but we are dealing with it. Put in some baits and have the landlord do some sprays. No improvement yet but I am hopeful. Breaking a lease is not possible as they stated I'd hava to get robbed and that almost everyone wants to break there lease. So these are the facts: Bugs are present even if you treat for them Almost everyone wants to break their lease The one good think is the people who work here truly try to do their best. They know it's hard to live here so they do what they can.. I had complained of loud barking dogs all night long and although I had to figure out which apartment it came from, they did resolve the problem so thus the two stars. Nice, would you live here after hearing that? For anyone wondering on the high reviewers,specifically Holly, I contacted her and apparently she doesn't live here. She just took a tour and filled out a review. Therefore she has no idea what it is like to live here. Would you use her review or someone who has lived here like me. My experience is not that great but apartment living is very risky and buying a house is also pretty expensive around here as the Master plan south of us is about 300k for anything of which will be build pretty cheaply to save money.
