The woman who was working at the front as well as serving us was very unfriendly. Food was meh. The scrambled eggs looked and tasted like what you get at a cheap buffet. We asked for ketchup and got 3 packets (yes, packets!) of ketchup for two people. I asked for jam and she came back and put it in front of my husband and walked away. LOL For some reason she was avoiding eye contact with me every time she came by. Needless to say it was an awkward and uncomfortable experience so we ate quickly and left. What a sad little place. Cute little restaurant tucked away next to a General Store. It is very quaint. I enjoyed my breakfast wrap it was fine. You can tell they use good quality ingredients which is always appreciated . My only issue is that I did have to stretch a bit to find something on the menu I was interested in. It is a very small menu with not a lot of options and I personally found it limiting. The other issue was there was only us and one other table but both the waitresses working were chatting behind the counter chatting about vacations while we all waited. I stopped by for a quick coffee and Eggs Benny on route to Whistler. They were excellent. The quality of the food and coffee was good and fresh for both. Service was friendly and attentive. I wasn't interested in any deep fried hashbrowns, so my waitress Beverly offered me some alternatives. All and all I'd enjoyed my stop and was back on the road in 30 minutes. The menu has a good selection for all tastes and restrictions and the owners strive to buy local wherever possible. Our group had a chicken club, with gluten free bread, a sesame chicken salad and a smoked salmon benny, with sliced fresh tomatoes instead of potatoes.. All our meals were very tasty, well presented and good value. The host, and owner was very helpful when I asked to substitute tomatoes for potatoes and our server was also very pleasant and friendly. Food was great service was awful. From The minute we walked in everyone who worked there was rude and unfriendly. The waitress was super forgetful and didn't bring all the condiments with our meal and we had to repeatedly ask her for things. She never came to check on us and see how we were doing and if we needed anything. We had to continuously get up and find someone to get more water or silverware, napkins, ketchup, butter and so in.. we have a drink spill on the table in front of the waitress and I assumed she walked away to go get stuff to clean it up, but no she didn't. After reading all the raving on Yelp I am a little disappointed as I expected more. My Thai Red Curry with shrimp was tasteless, though the amount of shrimps was quite decent. My husband's Cioppini seafood soup was apparently good and beer was great. Macho Cream Brûlée was very tasty but looked as if it contained avocado - and maybe it did. I adore breakfast here. I will be back for the Benny many times. Wednesday is live music and $8 appies. Unfortunately there weren't enough servers for the volume of customers, it took a long time to finally flag the waiter. He was running around so much that his service wasn't great until after most of the crowd had left. We ordered 4 appies. 3 came at once and the 4th not for 20 minutes after the other three - we'd already finished and stacked the dishes so we took the last appie to go. They had run out of buns so the fish and chips sliders were just fish with pea purée. There was a regular poutine on the menu and a poutine with beef bourguignon - we ordered the plain and when we were given the beef we were told that it was a typo on the menu.
