This new restaurant is absolutely incredible and it starts with the food and continues with the service. I got the white chicken dinner which consisted of two LARGE chicken breasts. I went with the Tennessee Mild flavor and it was perfect. There was some spice and some sweet to it which really set it apart for me from the other hot chicken places in Columbus. The TWO sides on top of the chicken for only 10.50 makes it a practical steal. The texas potatoes are the best (ask for the fiesta ranch dipping sauce, gamechanger) and the mac and cheese was very good. I mentioned the service earlier but let me tell you the people working here really care about the customer experience. Ordered Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes as the side dishes and both were outstanding also. Chicken gravy tasted homemade the way it was 25 years ago when I had chicken gravy as a kid. TBH this is a 2.5 star establishment. Mostly due to the amount of oil/grease-laden chicken that is served, at least for two take out orders for myself over the past 2 months or so. Thought I'd try it based on some reviews. The chicken, to me, is just ok. I had the wings with a the medium spice. Spice level was good, but i found the chicken to be too greasy. Ordered Nashville hot fingers and fries for delivery. I got three fries. Also, I was lucky enough for them to cover 1/2 of one chicken finger in the hot seasoning. I called to complain and was essentially told "too bad." They did nothing to incentivize me to return to the restaurant and the person on the phone tried to blame the lack of seasoning on the driver suggesting he may have driven other places, as if that would make any difference. The chicken is so juicy and tender, and even though it was delivered by Uber Eats, it was still hot and crispy. As far as the spice level, we got the Traditional and the Tennessee Mild. The order was ready at the quoted time. The workers were super friendly and the restaurant looked extremely clean. We got home with our order and everything was still warm. I went with the half chicken dinner. For a great price of $10.50 you get one breast, one thigh, one leg, and one wing. That also comes with two sides, I doubled up on the Texas potatoes, meaning I had a total of 4 potatoes. Basically they are like a large potato wedge coated in a really great seasoning. What a deal! I was excited to try out the fried chicken. I went with the traditional seasoning on the chicken since I had never tried any of their seasonings before. I was impressed from the first bite. I thought the seasoning was full of flavor and crispness. The chicken was moist inside. Overall the dinner for the price and the flavor, it completely exceeded my expectations. The only suggestion / request I would have is that I wish they had an additional vegetable choice than just greens. I would love for them to offer green beans.
