They included chips and salsa, lime wedges and all of the condiments I'd need and have access to if I were dining in. The parking lot it's a bit dark but it is great that there is designated parking in an area where most places only offer street parking. The staff were attentive and brought my order to the door as soon as I arrived. I also liked that there are several side dish options and I could order fries with the steak fajitas. I really dislikes touching scoops and such that lots of others have touched, but that was unavoidable here. It would be nice if they set out hand sanitizer. Absolutely love, Local Cantina. There used to be one by my house, but now the only one I know of is the one on High Street. We started the night with a picture of margaritas and they have a really good deal for them during happy hour as well as on Tuesdays. My favorite is the mustache ride with Reposado tequila, sweet lime, grand marnier, agave syrup. I love that they always have chips and salsa as a self serve option. Their queso is by far my favorite with melted cheese, jalapeños, onions. Let's get into tacos. I go to is the tempura shrimp that is fried, lettuce, queso fresco, sweet chili. Met Anna and Mike here for a quick little lunch. Quiet when they opened but bustling within half an hour. Interesting menu, I ended up going with a trio of tacos. All were very good. Truck, barbacoa, saucy pig. They could use thicker tortillas, or double them up, because partway through the second it was falling apart, and the third I had to eat with a fork. We had a late lunch here during the week. There were just a few other people inside and no-one seated outside though it was a beautiful spring day. I had three tacos - two fish which were both delicious and fresh and one potato which tasted like the potatoes were re-heated and not very warm. I also sampled the pork from the pork taco which was dry and had the texture like it had been sitting around for a while. So I recommend the fish tacos and would get them again. They have serve yourself chips and salsa which is delicious. And their queso is delicious. The chips are warm and the salsa has just a bit of heat. Service was attentive but not overwhelming. You know it's bad when the roaches are more hospitable and attentive than the service. Makes sense considering how dirty the place is. The menus are all sticky and encrusted in various dips and it smells like a college bar bathroom. Service is very slow and inaccurate even on a dead weekday. The food itself is embarrassing. I don't know how you can call something a "top shelf" taco when it looks like a fossilized dog turd that has been reheated several times and tossed onto a stale tortilla. I am so glad we found this local cantina! The interior vibe is very "dive bar" but with classical music in the background. The walls are covered with exciting eye candy and the menu has all the Mexican must eats. They have their house made "Baby Spice" hot sauce that they sell and lemme tell you, it tastes like: mild sauce met citrus. It's fantastic. I am visiting from California and had wanted to take a bottle home, but sadly, they are out of stock. Thankfully, they are giving us two containers to take back to our hotel! Yippee! We ordered a smothered burrito to share (red chili pork) and it's delicious! Perfect size to share with someone if you don't want to end up with a takeaway container. We were driving through Columbus and decided to stop here for lunch. We had our dog so we sat outside and a waitress came to take our order. All of the staff were very nice and attentive. It got pretty busy inside after a baseball camp came through but we still received our food quickly. You can get your own chips and salsa inside. Then we got a burrito bowl and two tacos. The margs all seem about the same as before and were good although almost too much ice, so felt like there wasn't much in there. The Queso dip is consistent and a large size good for sharing. We got there and were a little bit nervous about the serve your own salsa and chip bar, since the pandemic I think everyone is a bit more nervous about these things, but we stopped worrying and enjoyed the salsa. It was delicious. We ordered the queso which was also great! Their mango mocktail was delicious, but just not enough drink for the price and I should have just ordered a coke. As a warning to others, their menu needs commas, so we thought certain menu items had these combo like for example if it said "Cilantro lime ranch" I'd assume it was one sauce, but it was actually 3 ingredients. My friend got tripped up ordering because of this so I figured I'd mention it. That was a made up example, I do not recall her actual order. She ended up getting a gigantic burrito. My other friend just beans and rice and said there amazing. I ordered the Asian style taco, it was good, but a bit too saucy for me, just overall a texture, messy thing for me, but flavors were amazing. Next time I come I'd like a bigger appetite to try more. Stopped in for a late dinner on a Thursday. Parking in the area can be challenging but we got lucky and found street spots. They had several TVs with the NFL Thursday night game on and it was seat yourself. It's a casual taco spot and they had quick service! Our queso was delicious and the chips are serve yourself so you don't run out. I had the chicken Cali taco which was very large and flavorful! We also got the elote which comes on the cob and has a good spice! Margarita pitchers were ok, kinda watered down but served 5 of us. We were also celebrating a bday and appreciated that the staff allowed us to keep our cake refrigerated and brought out utensils when it was time for dessert ! I didn't think it was too hot but I got their hot dressing on the side to top the taco (per Olivia's recommendation) and it was the perfect heat. They also carry mezcal which is always a bonus in my book. So I ordered a spicy mezcal margarita. It wasn't too spicy so Olivia asked the bar to re-make it which was a nice gesture. The second one was spicier but still not the heat I was expecting. The third one had a full jalapeno in it and was FIRE haha. Like actually made my mouth on fire. Maybe that was a bit toooo much with the seeds but hey I asked for it more spicy. They were bumping great music throughout the night, including some great throwbacks (simple plan, the starting line). Quite possibly the worst tacos I have ever had. After a quick Yelp search I strolled into Local Cantina looking for a quick tasty bite. I started by asking the bartender to just give me 2 good tacos of his choice. He must have been having a rough day because his energy level was a solid zero. I guess I was bothering him. After taking my order he went back to the kitchen for a few minutes and brought my to-go order and casually placed it by me and walked away. The tacos were abysmal. I literally took a couple bites and tossed them. The execution matched the level of service. The taco shells were stale, the avocado brown, the meat not fresh. Bad service + bad food is just too much. I find comfort in knowing that I'll never have to visit this establishment again. read more

I have visited every Local Cantina except the one in Dublin and while the Grandview location is my hands down favorite, this place isn't bad. I've been here before and believe it or not my friend John and I both vowed it'd be a long time before we returned. I will not get into that passed experience, bourbon under the bridge! I must say that despite the continuous Taylor Swift rotation, which while no where near my jam, was made better by the bartenders exuberant rendition of each song. I was dismayed at my appetizer, the queso fries ($6) serving felt disproportionate to the price. However this is the only place that I have seen that has Carlsburg Pilsner on tap! 743 s.High St location: First, I wanna begin by saying I have been coming to the local cantina location at 743 s.high street location for over 5 years as a loyal customer, I'm at every taco Tuesday spending over $30, not to mention occasional Thursdays (the math is outstanding on that), so i deserve the right to say what I'm about to say. I have been watching, taking notes for the last month so I can be on point with this complaint/post. Whomever is making changes, I really want to know, have you visited this location or any locations to feel the vibe of the store. Cause the new management is just not cutting it for a variety of reasons. Second, let's talk about the downfall (most locals not feeling this place anymore) of this location; the energy has shifted dramatically and I'm not a fan at all; let me just say, several other regulars feel the same! It all started I would say about a good two to three months when Previn (old manager) and Lydia (left the location). Loved them both!!! I was here when Hammer was the manger! This new manager with glasses will walk right past regulars, not say a word, not say how's your order, nothing. Seems like she ls busy sitting at a desk and not being active on the floor; too serious and not friendly. Customer service is more that tryna fix a drink in 5 seconds, bringing food out like here ya go, and walking away quickly like they will get written up for taking extra time to say thank you for coming in. But you have managers who can just chill at the bar and talk to their partner or best friend for 45mins. Don't make sense to me. The "new" managers give me the feeling of bullies with the exception of one. Why??? Seem like they have replaced most the tenure staff and new ones running round here like a chicken with their heads cut off. I normally sit at the bar 90% of the time, now constantly waiting for bar tenders to check on me, ask me do I want another beverage, or simply being personal to just ask how my day has been. I work in healthcare, for over ten years. Part of the reason I've been coming here is because of them, they KNOW the customers AND the menu!!! Haven't seen JK lately, what yall do fire him?! If so, for what?? I've seen that man get off and come back just to help Kimmie correctly activate my gift card I was purchasing! If the goal is out with the old and in with the new, I'm out and I bet this store will lose all the other regulars too; some have told me. We all talk. So this location had a shrine of Polaroid photos staff taken of customers or with customers because the love of just coming here, al posted behind the bar. This new management took 95% of the pictures down! Why???? This was a signature of this store. My pictures are gone. For me to come here by myself over the years and just sit at the bar and talk to a complete stranger about my pictures and the felt so good. Now what?? I can't! Because the new managers, CEO who maybe have hired them and made changes never stepped foot in this store to feel the awesome vibe now dropped dramatically almost non existing. Condados will be my new spot and I will bring all my friend with me. Anyone knows marketing is best by word of mouth. Old staff energy has changed, they can't talk to me for more than 2 seconds, the managers have completely came in and changed the vibe. The new floor workers have not done nothing wrong but most need to take customer service online courses, everyone don't have social skills.
