Solid tacos at a fair price and the beer is cold! I did a pick four taco basket and it was more than enough for me.

Potato taco made weezy style and a margarita

Whether you live nearby, are staying in the area, or just driving through, Local Cantina is a great place for a taco and a drink. I had a potato taco weezy style (al meaning a second, soft shell with cheese and smashed avocado) and a margarita. It was fantastic! The chips and salsa were serve- yourself, which was interesting. I really dislikes touching scoops and such that lots of others have touched, but that was unavoidable here. It would be nice if they set out hand sanitizer. The atmosphere was also really nice, with a friendly Mexican-inspired flare and, during my June visit, pride paraphernalia. I would definitely come back again.

I loved it! I mean it's a bar for college students, So take it for what it is--which is a slightly less than clean, delicious, cheap, taco joint with self serve chips and $5 margs on Mondays. Love everything about it. The staff are nice too, no complaints from me.

It's Cinco de Mayo baby! I just had to find a spot to enjoy some festivities. Local Cantina was close so I popped in to grab a quick bite. I ordered a blood orange margarita to kick off this celebration. Thankfully it was delicious because it took forever to place my order for 3 tacos. I went with a Cantina fish, Baja shrimp, and tempura shrimp taco. While I waited, I munched on some chips and salsa. Once the tacos arrived, it took me no time in devouring them. They were delish!

Met Anna and Mike here for a quick little lunch. Quiet when they opened but bustling within half an hour. Interesting menu, I ended up going with a trio of tacos. All were very good. Truck, barbacoa, saucy pig. They could use thicker tortillas, or double them up, because partway through the second it was falling apart, and the third I had to eat with a fork. But they all tasted great. Service was excellent. Prices were great. I was starving and three tacos didn't quite fill me up. It was enough, but I wasn't stuffed. I will definitely be back.

We had a late lunch here during the week. There were just a few other people inside and no-one seated outside though it was a beautiful spring day. I had three tacos - two fish which were both delicious and fresh and one potato which tasted like the potatoes were re-heated and not very warm. I also sampled the pork from the pork taco which was dry and had the texture like it had been sitting around for a while. So I recommend the fish tacos and would get them again. They have serve yourself chips and salsa which is delicious. And their queso is delicious. The chips are warm and the salsa has just a bit of heat. Service was attentive but not overwhelming. The ambiance is fun and quirky. I would definitely return but would be careful with my order.

I am so glad we found this local cantina! The interior vibe is very "dive bar" but with classical music in the background. The walls are covered with exciting eye candy and the menu has all the Mexican must eats. They have their house made "Baby Spice" hot sauce that they sell and lemme tell you, it tastes like: mild sauce met citrus. It's fantastic. I am visiting from California and had wanted to take a bottle home, but sadly, they are out of stock. Thankfully, they are giving us two containers to take back to our hotel! Yippee! We ordered a smothered burrito to share (red chili pork) and it's delicious! Perfect size to share with someone if you don't want to end up with a takeaway container. Service was extremely friendly and helpful and invited us back tonight after 9pm for the $2.22 tacos (Thursday only) and all day on Tuesday specials. Thank you Savannah for all your help with the menu and encouraging us to call other locations to see if we can get a bottle of the sauce to pack in our suitcase! We just might have to come back to watch the Celtics game

Burrito bowl with chicken

We were driving through Columbus and decided to stop here for lunch. We had our dog so we sat outside and a waitress came to take our order. All of the staff were very nice and attentive. It got pretty busy inside after a baseball camp came through but we still received our food quickly. You can get your own chips and salsa inside. Then we got a burrito bowl and two tacos. The bowl was okay, but the tacos were excellent. We had the Nashville chicken and the cali chicken weazy style. So good!! I would just get tacos next time.

Quick service. We had our drinks in just a few minutes. We sat outside for a late dinner. Self-service for the chips and salsa. I had a really good and meaty chicken quesadilla. I had to take half of it home because it was huge. Tasted great! We will definitely be back.

Amazing ambience on the patio as always! Cody our server was fast, friendly, funny, and so cute! Taco Tuesday is a great deal, and love the self serve chips and salsa bar.

Mustache Rides... so good!!!
Nathan S.

If you've never had a mustache ride, this is the place to get your first! The bartender poured them with quite a heavy hand, thank you : ) Chips, salsa, and queso were good snacks while we enjoyed the margaritas. Americano tacos were just okay. But everyone who worked there were very friendly. Great place to get started for happy hour. Enjoy!

Nachos with added ground beef

Local cantina has a new menu! I've always been a big local cantina fan, and it appears the changes to the menu are minimal. Wish I got a photo of the menus. They did get rid of my tried and true sangria, however there are plenty of other great drinks. The hot girl summer drink I had a taste of from my friend and it was SWEET! The margs all seem about the same as before and were good although almost too much ice, so felt like there wasn't much in there. The Queso dip is consistent and a large size good for sharing. Highly recommend. I tried the nachos which are a new item (sort of) and were pretty big!! Deff something you could share. I added ground beef but you can add any meat option. It also includes Queso, refried beans, pico, jalapeños, and sour cream. Tasty! Love the vibes and music at local cantina as well. Always a good time and good food.

Service is horrible for a Saturday night act 5:52. Friendly service would be great. Don't understand if they are short staff but restaurant is not busy.

I sit at the bar and I'm greeted by something I've never had ever...chips served with 2 red salsas, a verde salsa and bean dip! Usually you just get chips, a small bowl and a carafe of salsa, help yourself. This set the tone that this would be different than usual. I ordered steak fajita nachos and a Modelo Negra. I powered thru the chips and bean dip like it was my job. And it didn't disappoint. Really fresh and flavorful. Nachos are nachos, right? Wrong. How they are assembled has everything to do with their mouth feel as they cool down. I've had nachos that come out looking amazing but as they cool, turn into a disappointing chuck of chips held together by shredded cheese cement. These stayed loose with crunchy bites of peppers and onions, and the cheese sauce coated instead of becoming cement-like. I always order the same thing when trying a New Mexican spot. If the nachos are good, chances are everything is good! So I'll keep the almost 5 Star steak going. I agree, some of the best Mexican food in Columbus.

He takes your order and makes your food fresh! Fajita nachos Al Pastor with a Victoria beer. The Victoria draft came out in a frosty mug and it was cold cold. Yes!! As I'm waiting for my food, more customers start coming in. Made me feel better lol. I swear the music playing is a recording of a DJ at a wedding lol. Out come the nachos and they look amazing. He also brings a little stand for my cell phone so I can eat and watch YouTube. Never have I had that offered to me at any restaurant. His hustle, service and smile was appreciated. The nachos were really good. The marinated pork, cheese sauce, fresh chips, chunks of pineapple, sour cream and salsa verde just came together well. Bonus points for the cheese sauce. Not to mention I watched him prepare everything thru the glass counter. He's back there having fun then brings your food out with a smile. Love it. If it were super busy I don't know how he would keep up, but I appreciate his hustle. Yelp, your recommendation didn't disappoint. This was different than your typical sit down, chips and salsa, margarita special, blah blah experience. While I was in Korea, I came across a story that stopped me in my tracks--one of those moments when…read morethe weight of someone else's experience hits close to home. Ricardo, a waiter at Cazuela's Mexican Cantina in Reynoldsburg, had finished serving a table, expecting the usual--a tip, a simple acknowledgment of his hard work. Instead, he received a hateful message scrawled on the receipt, the kind that cuts deeper than words should. Ricardo works at Cazuela's only on Sundays, a second job to help make ends meet. So today, in between my OCIA responsibilities, I decided to stop by--to meet him, to shake his hand, and to remind him that there are far more good people in this world than the ones who spew hate. As we talked, I saw a man who carries himself with quiet dignity, someone who simply wants to work hard and provide for his family. I shared with him that I, too, know what it feels like to be told to "go back to your country," even though, like him, I am an American. I told him about my childhood, standing in front of my family's Crestview Market, hearing the ugly chants from passing cars--some driven by kids I went to school with. But today wasn't just about reliving painful memories; it was about something greater--the power of community, of kindness that drowns out cruelty. When I arrived at Cazuela's, I wasn't alone. Others had also come to show their support, to stand with Ricardo. He told me the outpouring of kindness had been overwhelming, and I was relieved to hear it. Before I left, I handed him my WARM card and told him if he ever needed help, he could call me. Because no one should feel alone in moments like these. And, by the way, if you ever stop by Cazuela's, their enchiladas and Mexican rice are fantastic. The chips and salsa? Fresh and addictive. And my server, Isabel--attentive, kind, and everything a great waitress should be. Some people choose to spread hate. But today, I saw so many more people choosing love. And thats what matters.
