If you want some authentic creole food then look no further. No matter what you order you can't go wrong. You can tell everything they offer is scratch made. Their po boy that has catfish and shrimp will give you the best of both worlds. The fish is cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. The shrimp is juicy and plump and compliments the fish. They also have a great ratio of meat bread and toppings. Another favorite is their red beans and rice. You have not experienced good red beans until you have tried theirs. It goes really good with the po boy. The jerk fries will blow your mind! It's like an orgasm in your mouth, you can thank me later! The customer service is amazing they are warm and friendly and are always smiling. If your in St. Louis or visiting this is a must visit spot. Oh and they sell their seasonings and sauces, and they are def worth buying

I got a shrimp po boy from them and it was good. They served it to me faster than I was expecting and it was good. It was also fairly large; it had so many [fried] shrimp in it, almost every bite I took 1 or more shrimp fell out. So the food was good and I thought I got decent value for my money. They had a few other things on the menu that sounded good, so I might try one of those next time. I would recommend this food truck.

9 Mile Garden visit and Crooked Boot was the first Foodtruck on the row. With several po'boys to choose from, how could I not partake. I settled on the Catfish Po'boy which was a 9" roll, 2 sizable pieces of Catfish, lettuce, tomato and sauce. That first bite confirmed my hopes and yes, it was a great sandwich. The fish was beautifully seasoned, the bread was fresh and crisp lettuce. The sauce was a great accompaniment and I'd even suggest getting an extra side of it. Overall, a wonderful sandwich and would certainly have it again.

    Crabwich, hush puppies, and okra

Found the food truck and got some grub there. Tried to hit up their storefront, but they can't seem to find workers to staff it. Anyway, my crabwich (fried soft shell crab on a pretzel bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, and vudu sauce) was delicious. Sides of hush puppies and okra were good, if standard. They lady taking my order (owner?) was pleasant. She told me ow much the bill would be before the ran my card. I was a bit surprised by this, and she explained that some people like to know how much beforehand. Now that I thin about it, I believe some trucks do that and some don't. She also said that they cook the food to order, rather than beforehand, so it might take about ten minutes. I believe it actually only took about five, though. Based on some earlier reviews, it seems like they've learned from the past and have been improving their operations as they learn the business.

The taste was pretty good but the amount of food you get for the price you pay just doesn't add up. ‍

We love to do pick up or use their food truck! Best Cajun around! If you eat in, the area is very small, but great friendly service.

The prices are fair and the portions are generous, order the gumbo if you don't believe me !! My only complaint is the television blaring. Thank goodness I can turn the microphones off on my Bluetooth hearing aids and pipe in my preferred entertainment. Did I mention how friendly the staff is ? I can't say it too much.

When I paid Riya asked if it would be card or cash and I proceeded to swipe. After the transaction was complete I noticed that on the wall to the left of the register there was a sign about a " 3.99% Customer Service" for all store transactions. However on the same notice there's a 3.99% discount on cash purchases, I'm sorry what?! Since I had already paid for my order I simply just asked for the manager to ask about the fee. I spoke with a the chubby guy with the low cut. I mentioned how it was actually illegal to charge a fee to process a card payment. He got extremely defensive and loud. I calmly left and advised that I would be reporting him to Visa, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, The Federal Trade Commission and lastly The Better Business Bureau which I have successfully completed. As for my order it's supposed to be two catfish fillets, what I got was one fillets that they split in half, the hush puppies were over fried and hard, the chicken tenders and shrimp were just ok nothing to write home about. The red beans and rice lacked flavor I actually just gave them to my dog and mixed it in with his soft food since that's what it resembled. Lastly the coating on the oysters was over cooked while the inside was complete mush, these were $5.98 by themselves for JUST TWO. Bottom line there are better places that provide better service, quality, and quantity for you money than this establishment. Sami' never has to worry about me spending another dime with them!

We were greeted and seated right away, which was a nice start to the evening. This was our first visit to this particular location, although we've dined a few times over the years at their Creve Coeur restaurant. Our server was also tending bar that evening. He was polite and attentive, although a bit soft-spoken, which made him a little difficult to hear at times in the busy restaurant. We started with drinks--my wife ordered her usual glass of Chardonnay, and I went with a Corona. For dinner, my wife chose the blackened red snapper tacos with green beans and beans and rice, while I ordered the seaside combo with cod and shrimp, served with green beans and potato wedges. Our food arrived in about 25 minutes, and everything tasted very good. My wife especially kept talking about how flavorful the red snapper tacos were. The seafood tasted fresh, and the sides complemented the meals nicely. Overall, both the service and food made for a very enjoyable evening. The only downside was the price, as the dishes are definitely on the higher side. Still, with seafood being shipped in from the coast/gulf, that's somewhat understandable. All in all, it was a good dining experience, and we'd consider coming back again for another date night.

I followed up with the owner only after I never received the resolution that was agreed-upon in the restaurant. I was initially told a refund would be issued, and I waited a full billing cycle as advised by my bank to allow time for it to process. The refund never came. When I followed up, the owner refused to honor what was previously agreed upon. I even asked them to review their surveillance footage to verify that an error was made, but they declined to do so. Instead of taking accountability and resolving the issue professionally, they chose not to correct it. Mistakes happen I understand that. What matters is how a business handles them. Unfortunately, this was handled poorly, and I cannot recommend a business that refuses to stand behind its own errors. When the owner refused to correctthe issue and blamed me instead for not following up sooner, I told the owner that I would be pursuing the matter further than the owner said they were not going to do anything if I did so. In hindsight trying to blackmail me so that I would receive a partial refund and not warn others.

My daughter and I both had the catfish nugget dinner. Our side were yams, greens and macaroni and cheese. Everything was delicious. For most of our visit, real nice jazz was playing in the background until a patron complained (really?!) and so the music got flipped to RAP. We did not appreciate that. For dessert we split the red velvet cake (our second choice because they were out of banana pudding). The cake was dry - perhaps it sat out in the open uncovered. The icing was great tho. All that being said, I will go back to try some of the more traditional creole dishes on the menu. And hopefully they'll have banana pudding.

I started eating in the car because I wanted to taste it while it was fresh. The yams were well seasoned and sweet. My baked chicken was juicy and falling off the bone. It was so savory that I almost did not have any left by the time I got to work. I also enjoyed the green beans and I like that they had potatoes; this adds to the heartiness of the meal. While the macaroni looked wonderful and I could see the seasoning, I was hoping to taste more herbs. I still ate them all, but they were bland. I only did not add my own seasoning because the rest of the meal was seasoned well enough that I did not want to overdo it.
