We had Pop's fried chicken, fries and hushpuppies. The plain batter reminds me of Cane's, which is pretty flavorless, but the strips are 3-4 times the size of canes. My husband had the sweet and spicey and son had the buffalo hot chicken. They chicken was all nice and tender. They were much more flavorful and my son ranks it the best in St Louis. The fries and hushpuppies were delicious. I was disappointed that the soda was canned, but they have a nice variety of unique flavors. The wait time was long as there was only one person in the kitchen. While the young ladies taking orders weee friendly they can only apologies for the wait so many times before people start getting agitated. It is not an eat in spot so when I got the food home it was still pretty. My fish was over fried until it was dry. Hush puppies were over fried as well. They have some great things to choose from. My favorite is the chicken and shrimp potato bowl (minus the onions & peppers.) My second favorite on the menu is the buffalo chicken sandwich. So fresh I had to add for extra seasoning the second time. We've been frequenting their new location in Maryland Heights. I didn't like their pizza puff but my guy said it was really good.
