We are in the area looking for some bbq. I picked brisket and pork. Picked two sides beans and some collard greens. The greens were tasty and the beans were sweet. I added hush puppies but didn't think the sweet spicy jam was a good fit but the hush puppies were fesh, hot and crunchy. The 4 different types of bbq sauces were good. My favorite was the spicy one. We would come back to try the green tomatoes.

Convenient location off the highway make it a good spot to go for lunch or dinner. They have a nice menu with options for just about everyone and they have gluten free buns also. Had the pulled pork plate with bbq beans and potato salad. The pork was smoked to perfection and tender and flavorful, beans were delicious however the potato salad was a big miss, tasted like it was a combination of potato salad with mashed potatoes mixed in( disappointing) corn bread was a big plus.

I got a slice of pie. I had to beg for a fork and napkin. I was not given a bag. I will return the food is ok here.

I didn't read recent reviews. I ordered a sausage sandwich, which turned out out to be a cheddar/jalapeño link. The menu did not mention the cheddar or jalapeño. A pork steak had good flavor but was very dry. Brisket was a little past prime. Hush puppies were delivered to the table as a side included with the pork steak. Only when they were delivered the server commented they hush puppies weren't considered as a side but the restaurant would let it go. It was an odd experience since hush puppies were listed as a side and nothing was said by the cashier indicating they weren't. There is virtually no table service here. Your food is ordered at the counter and delivered there before you pay. You get your own drinks. You might have an employee remove your plates, or you might bus your own table.

Great service and nice people. Came here for Father's Day weekend and fresh food at lunch. Chill vibes and plenty of space to sit.

Sugarfire has consistently great BBQ smoked meats and creative sides. I checked their Facebook page almost daily to see what their specials are at each location. Some are definitely worth a special trip, so I don't always eat at the location closest to me. You've gotta rig the goods! LOL! One of the regular menu items that has become a favorite is the chicken biscuit which is a fried chicken thigh dunked in their homemade hot sauce and served on a biscuit that is slathered with honey butter. I like to kick it up a notch and add pimento cheese and an egg and make it brunch! I'm always on the lookout for the pork steak special too. I have been disappointed with dry brisket and chewy burnt ends on occasion. Some of the best sides that I've had there are out of the ordinary such as sweet potato salad with a hint of truffle, kale salad, and broccoli salad. This location is had a recent remodel due to flooding but it looks just like the old place to me, and just as welcoming!

Not bad bbq. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and turkey chili. The chili was unique and the sandwich was typical. I tried their hottest sauce- it wasn't that hot. Again, not bad but I'd try somewhere else next time

Was supposed to the end is near... was only given the burnt ends.

I split a full rack with mom for my most recent birthday meal and I was not disappointed! Naturally, we each had plenty of leftovers. The ribs came out with that perfect dark, smoky bark that's packed with flavor. The meat underneath was oh so tender. For one side, I went with applesauce - a classic. Appropriately chilled, it was a nice, fresh component to a largely roll-me-out-the-door meal. It was topped with a very confident amount of cinnamon. Heavy-handed for my taste, but if cinnamon is your jam, you'll be thrilled. The baked beans, however, came in hot. And I don't mean temperature; I mean with a spicy surprise. The sweetness of the applesauce cut down the bite of the heat, but I longed for milk to put out the little fire on my tongue. I have a low threshold for spicy food, so you may be quite alright with it, but it was a surprise to me. Pappy's is, hands down, my go-to BBQ spot. First enamored by the location nearest downtown, and thoroughly thrilled when they arrived in my city.

The potato salad was dry and pasty. The baked beans were much too spicy. Their service was very fast but it was a workarant. You had to order sit and they delivered it to you. We heard about the DelMar Loop and also heard about this place so decided to drop on by! One of the best parts was free parking! OK, we saw they had a patio and that was perfect for us because our puppy needed a place too. They seated us quickly, brought us some menus, and took our drink order. We both had 0% beer because, you know, it was just 12 noon - a little early for the hard stuff! We both ordered some barbecue! I ordered the brisket and pulled pork, along with the potato salad and chili! OK before the food review I got it put in a great word for the waitress. She was very friendly, and gave us some good pointers on things to check out while in town - very cool. Oddly enough, we were the only one sitting on the patio, even though it was a very pleasant day, indeed. When the food came? I thought the brisket was a little odd because it wasn't chopped. It was cut into little cubes but paired with one of the sauces? Very nice! And pulled pork was great. The potato salad? Yup! The chili? Yup! The fried bread roll? Well, it was a little unexpected, but it was very nice as well. As we had heard that St. Louis barbecue was uniquely different from any other barbecue, we had to have it! I'm not gonna say it was spectacularly different, but it was good! We ordered a lemon gooey bar for dessert and shared it! Apparently it's a St. Louis thing? Yes! Would we come again? Oh yes, indeed! And you should try it too if you like good barbecue.!

Came late afternoon, so it wasn't very busy. I sat at the bar, and had phenomenal service from the bartender. But the food is where things really shined. The baloney, with a fresh chowchow and Stone Ground mustard, was one of the best barbecue items I've had anywhere. The slaw some vinegar based and it's very tangy. It was very good.
