We are in the area looking for some bbq. I picked brisket and pork. Picked two sides beans and some collard greens. The greens were tasty and the beans were sweet. I added hush puppies but didn't think the sweet spicy jam was a good fit but the hush puppies were fesh, hot and crunchy. The 4 different types of bbq sauces were good. My favorite was the spicy one. We would come back to try the green tomatoes.

Convenient location off the highway make it a good spot to go for lunch or dinner. They have a nice menu with options for just about everyone and they have gluten free buns also. Had the pulled pork plate with bbq beans and potato salad. The pork was smoked to perfection and tender and flavorful, beans were delicious however the potato salad was a big miss, tasted like it was a combination of potato salad with mashed potatoes mixed in( disappointing) corn bread was a big plus.

I got a slice of pie. I had to beg for a fork and napkin. I was not given a bag. I will return the food is ok here.

Pulled pork with slaw and drizzled mustard sauce, and grilled Brussels sprouts.

I didn't read recent reviews. I ordered a sausage sandwich, which turned out out to be a cheddar/jalapeño link. The menu did not mention the cheddar or jalapeño. A pork steak had good flavor but was very dry. Brisket was a little past prime. Hush puppies were delivered to the table as a side included with the pork steak. Only when they were delivered the server commented they hush puppies weren't considered as a side but the restaurant would let it go. It was an odd experience since hush puppies were listed as a side and nothing was said by the cashier indicating they weren't. There is virtually no table service here. Your food is ordered at the counter and delivered there before you pay. You get your own drinks. You might have an employee remove your plates, or you might bus your own table.

Great service and nice people. Came here for Father's Day weekend and fresh food at lunch. Chill vibes and plenty of space to sit.

Sugarfire has consistently great BBQ smoked meats and creative sides. I checked their Facebook page almost daily to see what their specials are at each location. Some are definitely worth a special trip, so I don't always eat at the location closest to me. You've gotta rig the goods! LOL! One of the regular menu items that has become a favorite is the chicken biscuit which is a fried chicken thigh dunked in their homemade hot sauce and served on a biscuit that is slathered with honey butter. I like to kick it up a notch and add pimento cheese and an egg and make it brunch! I'm always on the lookout for the pork steak special too. I have been disappointed with dry brisket and chewy burnt ends on occasion. Some of the best sides that I've had there are out of the ordinary such as sweet potato salad with a hint of truffle, kale salad, and broccoli salad. This location is had a recent remodel due to flooding but it looks just like the old place to me, and just as welcoming!

Not bad bbq. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and turkey chili. The chili was unique and the sandwich was typical. I tried their hottest sauce- it wasn't that hot. Again, not bad but I'd try somewhere else next time

Was supposed to the end is near... was only given the burnt ends.

Went with some friends at prime dinnertime on a friday. Lots of laughs, smiles, memories…read more I was surprised it was empty, seemed strange. The food? Fine. I mean it's bbq. I enjoyed their turkey melt. It was simple. Not over complicated. Not overly flavorful either. It wasn't bad, but it didn't send my taste buds into a chasm of mesquite as i had hoped. The service was good. But, not in a well manicured way. More of a this is very informal dining and holler if ya need me way. Very polite, unpolished, and taken care of. But, it didn't feel like hospitality in the formal sense you imagine when thinking of a sit down dinner. I hope that doesn't come off as a knock or jest. I intend it to be perceived much more as ambivalent. Anyways, no rush to get back, but if my friends wanna go, ill oblige

The staff were friendly and food delivery was reasonably quick. The burnt ends did not "melt" in my mouth like a proper burnt end should. They were fibrous and took a bit of chewing. They were also too sweet, so the meat's natural flavor was masked. The sausage was just OK, nothing special to look forward to. The potato salad was overly mustard based and unenjoyable. Two bites were all I could stand. The baked beans with pulled pork were very good. They could have better if they were more savory and less sweet. If I hadn't just visited family in Austin, TX, perhaps I would've been more favorable to Hendricks. Instead, I had recent reminders of how far they fell short of even average Texas BBQ, let alone Terry Black's. I'm not planning on returning.

Taco Tuesday at BobaQue in New Town Saint Charles did NOT disappoint…read more The $2 tequila and $2 jerk chicken tacos were absolute FIRE. The tacos had this incredible balance of flavors, spicy TENDER chicken with jerk seasoning & sweet pineapple mixed in, and whatever else they put in there just made them insanely flavorful. There was a long line, no available seating, and we eventually learned that some guests were bringing their own chairs. We were even asked if we had chairs in our car--which we didn't. Had we known the setup beforehand, we would have come prepared. It was a bit overwhelming and felt disorganized, so we ended up leaving without getting a seat or trying the food. That said, we ran into several friends who were there, and they looked like they were having a great time, so it's clear the food and atmosphere are worth checking out. We're chalking our experience up to the holiday crowd, possible short staffing, or simply unfortunate timing. We definitely plan to come back on a regular day because we're still looking forward to trying the food for ourselves.

Hubby and I arrived into St. Louis on a pleasant Saturday afternoon and decided we wanted us some…read morebarbecue! We heard about the DelMar Loop and also heard about this place so decided to drop on by! One of the best parts was free parking! OK, we saw they had a patio and that was perfect for us because our puppy needed a place too. They seated us quickly, brought us some menus, and took our drink order. We both had 0% beer because, you know, it was just 12 noon - a little early for the hard stuff! We both ordered some barbecue! I ordered the brisket and pulled pork, along with the potato salad and chili! OK before the food review I got it put in a great word for the waitress. She was very friendly, and gave us some good pointers on things to check out while in town - very cool. Oddly enough, we were the only one sitting on the patio, even though it was a very pleasant day, indeed. When the food came? I thought the brisket was a little odd because it wasn't chopped. It was cut into little cubes but paired with one of the sauces? Very nice! And pulled pork was great. The potato salad? Yup! The chili? Yup! The fried bread roll? Well, it was a little unexpected, but it was very nice as well. As we had heard that St. Louis barbecue was uniquely different from any other barbecue, we had to have it! I'm not gonna say it was spectacularly different, but it was good! We ordered a lemon gooey bar for dessert and shared it! Apparently it's a St. Louis thing? Yes! Would we come again? Oh yes, indeed! And you should try it too if you like good barbecue.!

Wow, I was looking for some good barbecue in St. Louis. I knew that shouldn't be hard to find here!…read moreWell, I found a great place on my first try. Came late afternoon, so it wasn't very busy. I sat at the bar, and had phenomenal service from the bartender. But the food is where things really shined. I started the mail with the bacon deviled eggs. They were filled to the brim and super tasty. I got the two meat combo. With ribs, bologna, slaw, and cream corn. Everything was absolutely amazing. The baloney, with a fresh chowchow and Stone Ground mustard, was one of the best barbecue items I've had anywhere. The slaw some vinegar based and it's very tangy. It was very good. This was a really good barbecue restaurant in St. Louis area. I need to try somewhere else, but it's gonna be hard not just to come back here!
