I love this coffeehouse!! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I asked for caffeine free, sugar free, and dairy free and they served me with a smile and no complaints. I love the unique items for sale inside the cafe and the seating areas are so inviting. They have sweet and savory food items as well as hot and cold beverages. I would go to The Crooked Branch every day if I lived closer. Highly recommend!

    Delicious iced vanilla latte!

By the time we got it we had 10 minutes to eat and get out. Overall the food was decent. My husband says the gravy was a little too "floury". My 12 year old said my scrambled eggs are better (she didn't realize she needed to order them with cheese. lol. So definitely not the restaurants fault). My 5 year old was not a fan of his stuffed apple French toast. I'm not sure what he was expecting. It looked good. But he really liked the bacon. I would definitely not come again if we were on a time restraint. Not sure if it's typical to take so long to get the food.

Our waitress had a noticeably negative attitude and was short with us when we asked simple questions. For example, when I asked if fries came with my BBQ pulled sandwich, she responded in a way that felt dismissive rather than helpful. Throughout the meal, there was little to no check-in to see how things were going, and we had to ask just to get the bill. It felt like we were an inconvenience rather than customers. On top of that, the food itself was not good. All four of us were unhappy with our meals, which made the overall experience even worse. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this visit stood out for the wrong reasons. I hope the restaurant can improve both service and food quality in the future.

We wanted to grab a quick, but non-fast food, lunch before heading back out of town and stopped in at Julie's Java House at 12:40 pm--we checked their website as we were leaving the mall, and debated about just skipping lunch, knowing the staff were going to be closing up at 1 pm. We figured they might be cranky or annoyed with us, being anxious to clean up and close up--BUT, we were very cheerfully welcomed as soon as we walked in to place our order for grilled cheese sandwiches. The sandwiches were served fresh and hot off the grill/panini press, were generously filled with cheese and tomato slices, and the sides of chips and pickle slices were the perfect way to round out our meals! Not only were the food and service great, the cafe was super cute and very clean! Their location is right next to the Columbus Amtrak Station, so if you happen to be there when a train goes past, the place to sit is right inside the front door at the little "bar" with the stools. We were too late for the morning trains and too early for the ~2:00 one...maybe next time. :-) The owners clearly take pride in their establishment and seem to really want to give back to the people and causes that matter most to them, as evidenced by the various photos of family and friends, and certificates of recognition, displayed throughout. They also offer plenty of seating, a large parking lot, and items for sale in small-ish quantities, like homemade honeys, teas, ornaments, wooden trains, jewelry, stickers, and coasters. We feel like we discovered a gem of a restaurant to cap off our truly fun and enjoyable first (but not last!) visit to Columbus!

The service was incredibly friendly, and amazingly fast, given we had a larger order and the place was fairly busy. There were plenty of options; from drink options/flavors, to bakery and breakfast items, etc. If you can't find something to order, that is completely on you because the choices are plenty. We opted for a couple of seasonal lattes, which were, unfortunately, very lacking in flavor. I typically order my coffee drinks half sweet, but this particular day I was wanting something sweet and flavorful so I skipped that directive, and was still disappointed. Bakery items and other drinks were good. There was some sort of market happening in the front of the store, which could have caused for more crowding/chaos elsewhere, but overall it felt like there was a lot of "stuff" everywhere. The seating area seems really crowded, but also didn't appear to have been cleaned in a while. There was a messy desk back by the bathrooms, and while I understand this is probably a busy work area for someone, it all just made me feel a little stressed out. Not a place I would feel relaxed to complete any work.
