    Cuban Reuben with house salad
    Bill P.

I went to this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. It was a good recommendation. The food, service, and ambiance were all good. They have a bar and dining area; neat but nothing fancy. Service was friendly and helpful since it was my first visit. We had a Mediterranean Wrap with sweet potato fries and a Cuban Reuben with the house salad. They were both good. I had the Reuben. It was thickly loaded with ham and pork between grilled marbled bread. The wrap was delicious as were the fries. I will definitely be back.

Limited vegetarian offers but, the ones offered are fantastically delicious. The wait staff have always been fantastic. The picture included is my favorite sandwich! We have been to this restaurant many times and it has never disappointed us. For appetizer we have them leave the bacon out of the Balsamic Bacon Bleu Cheese Chips: Kettle chips, bleu cheese vin, crumbled bleu cheese, chopped bacon, aged balsamic reduction, chives. OMG it is so good and plenty to share Hummus Red Pepper: Hummus duet, Kalamata olives, feta, pickled heirloom tomatoes, arugula, red wine vinaigrette, grilled naan bread. Chopped Salad: Green leaf lettuce, frisee, shaved red onion, dates, strawberries, farmers cheese, candied sunflower seeds & pepitas, red wine vinaigrette Grouper Reuben: Blackened Grouper, Swiss, dill-pineapple slaw, Island dressing, grilled marble rye. Unfortunately we or I have never had room for desert. LOL

    Grouper Reuben - excellent!

We went there with a group of about 20, with a reservation. The table was ready upon arrival. They quickly got us set up, brought beverages and then took orders. The restaurant was fairly busy and had a nice interior. The staff were nice. After ordering, the food came out at a decent time after ordering. But, then, there was a delay with my wife's order of shrimp and grits. Her order had to be gluten free and that may have delayed it. She loved her food and I ordered the Grouper Reuben. It came with homemade chips. The sandwich was excellent! I looked at other dishes and they also looked very nice. I asked for a side or a little more of the sauce that it comes with and the waitress said ok. Then I asked if there would be a charge for some extra sauce. She basically took a deep breath and acted like it was a big deal to bring it without a charge. I mean it's like bringing mustard or something, which normally would be free.. I did say thank you as she inferred that normally there is a charge. We have found this to be the case with most restaurants in Florida. You have to ask if any extras have a cost. I hate to be nickel and dimed in restaurants. I know they have rising costs due to tariffs (probably), but if they want to have consistent customers and not have a reputation for nickel and diming every person that makes a simple request, then maybe they should simply add a quarter to the cost on the menu to cover potential extras that people may request. Or maybe I'm cheap and shouldn't eat out where I cannot get what I want. Because that's sort of the message that's sent to me when I hear about .50 cents here or .75 there. We will definitely come back and try more things as long as they don't mind me trying to grab a bit more flavor here and there. If I didn't ask about the charge and found it out later, they would have gotten 3-4 stars from me. This time though, they did the right thing and they earned a 5 stars review.

    Beer Cheese Fondue

Usually you can't go wrong when ordering anything from their menu. Unfortunately, for the past two visits their beer cheese fondue has been disgusting. The first time we thought it was just a bad batch, but now that it's happened a second time, looks like it's a pattern (the waitress even said it looked like sh!t). The super unfortunate part is when we brought it to the restaurant's attention, because we had eaten 2 of the 3 pretzels that are included with the fondue (it took that long to get someone's attention and the pretzels were good), the manager said they would only take 30% off of the price.... So we paid $10.50 for 3 pretzels..... Lesson learned - if we return, don't bother with the beer cheese fondue.

Best Turkey Sandwich ever. Great experience tonight at the pub eating delicious food. Bowl of chili was delicious and service was excellent. Well worth the visit. Ambiance was perfect

Service was great and friendly and I like how they change up their menu for the seasons. I came for their brunch and while what I got was delicious and seasonal- it was a fried green tomato sandwich with gouda, and egg, some veggies on jalapeño cornbread toast served with house chips. But it was very greasy so I felt a little sick after because I'm not used to greasy food. So I personally wouldn't go back, but if you don't have any issue the food was really good. Their drink menu also looked good

We visited with friends on a Saturday evening. Plenty of tables and service was quick and our server was attentive. We all had a variety of burgers and one had the meatloaf. The food was good and served hot. The beer cheese with pretzels was delicious. We enjoyed our food and the ambience. It's definitely a place to enjoy some good food with friends. They accommodate for GF which is great as one in our party is GF.

Nice selection of drafts for your pleasure!

The allure for Crooked Spoon has lost some of its luster. Vince has always had higher prices than most but the food made it worth it. However, during my last 2 recent visits it's just not the same. The burgers are smaller and the prices definitely higher. Same for drinks. The value is quickly disappearing in places like this. Bummer for a place we used to call "our Cheers"

    Pork Chop (Chef's Special)

The hamburger buns are bad. They fall apart and make the burger inedible. You can't get a different bun. Some of the specials are really good. They give you two vegetables which we love. We seem to always get the same server and she is awful, doesn't greet us, leaves drink at bar with ice melting for a long time, takes forever to get our check and then she never comes back. We usually grab the manager or another waitress to help us. It's sad. We want to like it. But if they fired the bad waitress we may go back.

    Grouper Reuben

So glad we went. The food was so good and our server was so sweet, welcoming, and friendly. We had Texas wings and the balsamic bacon blue cheese chips for apps. The chips were made for me as I love those flavors and they did not disappoint. My new favorite appetizer. Wings were cooked perfect and had a a great flavor. Meals were the grouper Rueben which was great. Fresh ingredients that complemented each other. Had the lobster grilled cheese which was a nice lobster salad with the right amount of everything so all the flavors came out perfect. Had the tomato basil soup to go with the lobster sandwich and it went together very well. The place was very relaxing and had a great chill atmosphere. If I lived in the area I'd be back once a week. Highly recommend.

    420 burger (adjusted ingredients)
    Christina P.

I met my sister at this hoppin restaurant near the crossroads of two main roadways and tried their famous 420 burger (sans pineapple chutney and cheese and with toast instead of brioche). The patty was compact and the flavor was good. They were accompanied by sweet potato fries - one of my go-to sides - which were delicious and they even had some honey for dipping. Yum! I even got to enjoy a yucca wedge and was surprised how it reminded me of a potato. In addition to the standard menu, there are seasonal selections - though I hear those are to be enjoyed by those dining in. The patio was spacious and relaxed (though we heard several sirens passing through the busy area) and we benefited from having bug spray on hand.

420 burger was undercooked and grossed me out

We came here on August 7th around 7pm to find the place closed. Did they shut down permanently?

They're closed because of Covid and thorough cleaning. Although they have shortened their hours as well. Even before Covid.

Is there any plant based burgers?

    No, not yet

Are there gluten-free options on menu?

I am sure there must be, but I can say with any certainty. They surely would prepare anything with that in mind. They definitely had some gluten free beer!

Is this a dog friendly restaurant?

I've confirmed that it's not dog friendly, despite having an amazing patio!

Everyone just seems so happy here so you can tell that it really enjoy their jobs which makes a huge difference. We started off with the coconut shrimp and had like this coconut mayo dipping sauce was different, but it was really good, but I felt like it needed like a sweet-and-sour sauce then I had the mahi tacos with just the rice no black beans definitely still as good as the last time I tried it my boyfriend got the buffalo chicken pizza gluten-free and he ate the entire thing so that just tells you right off the bat that it was good and to finish off our dinners we ended with Keylime pie. I want to preface this by saying we went on a very cold day and ate indoors..the pizza was outstanding and the waiter was friendly and engaging..in other words, typical for our experiences there. Prior to this, we even brought friends who hadn't been there before and loved it...now, to our recent experience: We were seated and the waitress seemed as though she wasn't very familiar with the menu and had to check on our requests, each check took a disturbingly long time. When we brought our friends, my gal ordered a hamburger and I asked the waitress if she could have the wagyu, rather than the angus burger, she readily said yes and my gal marveled over the burger...fast forward to the last experience, the waitress said she'd have to order the wagyu as posted and it "wasn't available" as a stand alone order. So my gal settled for the angus burger and again, the wait was a bit long and as we were considering to leave, the waitress showed up, gave us our food and left. the onion rings were cold...literally...they had been out so long that they weren't even warm (our prior experiences the onion rings arrived hot and delicious). Again we waited for our waitress to return and my gal had to ask another waitress if she could get us some hot onion rings. That waitress noted the cold onion rings and brought them back to the kitchen to prove we weren't being unreasonable, which was a greatly appreciated gesture on her part. Very promptly, the "other" waitress brought our onion rings, apologizing profusely...we thanked her and when my gal started into her Caesar salad, it was inedible....soggy, nearly tasteless and resembling a hot spinach salad with soggy lettuce than a crisp Caesar salad....the upside, the second batch of onion rings were up to their usual excellent standard, the burger was good, but not the intensity of flavor their wagyu burger had. If we hadn't been semi-regulars, it is a near certainty we wouldn't go back, but we aren't going to let a single experience unravel years of good experiences.

The food, although a little pricey, was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Bangin' Shrimp as an appetizer, which blew me away. The shrimp had a tempura fry to it, giving it a perfectly crispy crunch. The sauces that were drizzled on top helped to amplify the flavor of the dish. For my main course, I ordered the Shroom N Swiss burger. I love how thick and juicy the burger patties are. It's hard to find a good burger place that has thick patties, and The Whiskey delivers that meat. Another thing that blew me away was the mushroom that came on top. Luckily, it looked like the brunch crowd was thinning out so we were able to get a table without a reservation. Bulla serves tapas style meaning you should probably get at least two items if you are not sharing with the table. Looking at the menu, my husband and I both realized that if you are going to get three items each, it really was the best value to get the Brunch Prix Fixe for $32 although it did seem like a lot of food. In hindsight, we probably should have shared one Brunch Prix Fixe and then got one or two other items as I ended up taking food home. There is also a Bottomless Sangrias and Mimosas for $23 but we aren't big drinkers. I did get a hot tea though. For the first course, I ordered the Potato Tortilla and my husband ordered the Sopa de Garbanzo Frita. As soon as they arrived, I realized it was going to be too much food because each one was huge. My potatoes were very thinly sliced and soft and delicious, especially with a swipe of the garlic aioli. My husband liked his chickpea soup but did say it was a little spicy. It also comes with a poached egg in the soup. That was another thing - most of the Prix Fixe items, especially the second course, come with either fried or poached egg and I only eat scrambled which made it hard to choose the next course. I got the Chicken and Waffles which came with three thin breaded chicken fillets sandwiched between super fluffy waffle quarters, served with a rosemary maple syrup. It was all so good, that you could eat the chicken and the waffles without the syrup if you wanted but I used the syrup for the herby flavor. I took home two of the waffle quarters and one piece of chicken for a waffle sandwich at home. My husband's braised pork hash was also really good, and came with another poached egg. For the final sweets course, we both ordered the Hazelnut Waffles (yes, yes, I know, I ordered two waffle dishes in a row). These were so yummy, just slathered with Nutella, whipped white chocolate cream, and chocolate chips. All in all, a great brunch!

It was one of the strangest, most beautiful experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. For a moment, it felt like Dad was sitting at the table with us. He got it on the side, but even when he put on, even though it was very little, overpowered the taste of the burger. I got the special for the month of May, which was a taco salad and while the meat was delicious, it was actually too much of it. I would've liked to have more lettuce in my actual salad.
