    Lobster grilled cheese
    Ty F.

Came here looking for a casual bite and left pretty satisfied overall. The service was good, our waitress was friendly and attentive, which always makes the experience better. The menu had some interesting sandwich and burger options at pretty decent price points. My husband ordered a burger and enjoyed it. I decided to try the lobster grilled cheese, which sounded too good to pass up. When it came out, the lobster was chilled and the cheese wasn't melted, which definitely caught me by surprise. Our waitress mentioned it was supposed to be melted, but since I'm not one to play roulette with sending food back, I just went ahead and ate it. Even with that surprise, the flavors were still good and I left satisfied. The venue itself is large and nicely themed, making it a comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal. Overall, a solid spot with good service.

Limited vegetarian offers but, the ones offered are fantastically delicious. The wait staff have always been fantastic. The picture included is my favorite sandwich! We have been to this restaurant many times and it has never disappointed us. For appetizer we have them leave the bacon out of the Balsamic Bacon Bleu Cheese Chips: Kettle chips, bleu cheese vin, crumbled bleu cheese, chopped bacon, aged balsamic reduction, chives. OMG it is so good and plenty to share Hummus Red Pepper: Hummus duet, Kalamata olives, feta, pickled heirloom tomatoes, arugula, red wine vinaigrette, grilled naan bread. Chopped Salad: Green leaf lettuce, frisee, shaved red onion, dates, strawberries, farmers cheese, candied sunflower seeds & pepitas, red wine vinaigrette Grouper Reuben: Blackened Grouper, Swiss, dill-pineapple slaw, Island dressing, grilled marble rye. Unfortunately we or I have never had room for desert. LOL

I went to this restaurant on the recommendation of friends. It was a good recommendation. The food, service, and ambiance were all good. They have a bar and dining area; neat but nothing fancy. Service was friendly and helpful since it was my first visit. We had a Mediterranean Wrap with sweet potato fries and a Cuban Reuben with the house salad. They were both good. I had the Reuben. It was thickly loaded with ham and pork between grilled marbled bread. The wrap was delicious as were the fries. I will definitely be back.

    Grouper Reuben - excellent!

We went there with a group of about 20, with a reservation. The table was ready upon arrival. They quickly got us set up, brought beverages and then took orders. The restaurant was fairly busy and had a nice interior. The staff were nice. After ordering, the food came out at a decent time after ordering. But, then, there was a delay with my wife's order of shrimp and grits. Her order had to be gluten free and that may have delayed it. She loved her food and I ordered the Grouper Reuben. It came with homemade chips. The sandwich was excellent! I looked at other dishes and they also looked very nice. I asked for a side or a little more of the sauce that it comes with and the waitress said ok. Then I asked if there would be a charge for some extra sauce. She basically took a deep breath and acted like it was a big deal to bring it without a charge. I mean it's like bringing mustard or something, which normally would be free.. I did say thank you as she inferred that normally there is a charge. We have found this to be the case with most restaurants in Florida. You have to ask if any extras have a cost. I hate to be nickel and dimed in restaurants. I know they have rising costs due to tariffs (probably), but if they want to have consistent customers and not have a reputation for nickel and diming every person that makes a simple request, then maybe they should simply add a quarter to the cost on the menu to cover potential extras that people may request. Or maybe I'm cheap and shouldn't eat out where I cannot get what I want. Because that's sort of the message that's sent to me when I hear about .50 cents here or .75 there. We will definitely come back and try more things as long as they don't mind me trying to grab a bit more flavor here and there. If I didn't ask about the charge and found it out later, they would have gotten 3-4 stars from me. This time though, they did the right thing and they earned a 5 stars review.

Best Turkey Sandwich ever. Great experience tonight at the pub eating delicious food. Bowl of chili was delicious and service was excellent. Well worth the visit. Ambiance was perfect

Service was great and friendly and I like how they change up their menu for the seasons. I came for their brunch and while what I got was delicious and seasonal- it was a fried green tomato sandwich with gouda, and egg, some veggies on jalapeño cornbread toast served with house chips. But it was very greasy so I felt a little sick after because I'm not used to greasy food. So I personally wouldn't go back, but if you don't have any issue the food was really good. Their drink menu also looked good

    Beer Cheese Fondue
    Patti L.

Usually you can't go wrong when ordering anything from their menu. Unfortunately, for the past two visits their beer cheese fondue has been disgusting. The first time we thought it was just a bad batch, but now that it's happened a second time, looks like it's a pattern (the waitress even said it looked like sh!t). The super unfortunate part is when we brought it to the restaurant's attention, because we had eaten 2 of the 3 pretzels that are included with the fondue (it took that long to get someone's attention and the pretzels were good), the manager said they would only take 30% off of the price.... So we paid $10.50 for 3 pretzels..... Lesson learned - if we return, don't bother with the beer cheese fondue.

We visited with friends on a Saturday evening. Plenty of tables and service was quick and our server was attentive. We all had a variety of burgers and one had the meatloaf. The food was good and served hot. The beer cheese with pretzels was delicious. We enjoyed our food and the ambience. It's definitely a place to enjoy some good food with friends. They accommodate for GF which is great as one in our party is GF.

Nice selection of drafts for your pleasure!

The allure for Crooked Spoon has lost some of its luster. Vince has always had higher prices than most but the food made it worth it. However, during my last 2 recent visits it's just not the same. The burgers are smaller and the prices definitely higher. Same for drinks. The value is quickly disappearing in places like this. Bummer for a place we used to call "our Cheers"

    Pork Chop (Chef's Special)
    Kasey T.

The hamburger buns are bad. They fall apart and make the burger inedible. You can't get a different bun. Some of the specials are really good. They give you two vegetables which we love. We seem to always get the same server and she is awful, doesn't greet us, leaves drink at bar with ice melting for a long time, takes forever to get our check and then she never comes back. We usually grab the manager or another waitress to help us. It's sad. We want to like it. But if they fired the bad waitress we may go back.

    420 burger (adjusted ingredients)
    Christina P.

I met my sister at this hoppin restaurant near the crossroads of two main roadways and tried their famous 420 burger (sans pineapple chutney and cheese and with toast instead of brioche). The patty was compact and the flavor was good. They were accompanied by sweet potato fries - one of my go-to sides - which were delicious and they even had some honey for dipping. Yum! I even got to enjoy a yucca wedge and was surprised how it reminded me of a potato. In addition to the standard menu, there are seasonal selections - though I hear those are to be enjoyed by those dining in. The patio was spacious and relaxed (though we heard several sirens passing through the busy area) and we benefited from having bug spray on hand.

420 burger was undercooked and grossed me out
    Trish C.

Been a while since we returned. The K.G.B. wings are "killer" Indeed and are worth the visit. We ordered a medium 420 burger and it was medium rare and bloody. Unfortunately it ruined the meal for me. The fries were good though.

Ask the Community - The Crooked Spoon Gastropub

We came here on August 7th around 7pm to find the place closed. Did they shut down permanently?

They're closed because of Covid and thorough cleaning. Although they have shortened their hours as well. Even before Covid.

Is there any plant based burgers?

    No, not yet

Are there gluten-free options on menu?

I am sure there must be, but I can say with any certainty. They surely would prepare anything with that in mind. They definitely had some gluten free beer!

Is this a dog friendly restaurant?

I've confirmed that it's not dog friendly, despite having an amazing patio!

Nothing particularly memorable, but perfectly fine for snacking while enjoying drinks and hitting balls. There are also plenty of things to do beyond the driving range. Kids will enjoy the small play area, and there's ping pong and a putting green, making it easy to entertain everyone in your group. The view really is the star of the show. It's beautiful, and being up on one of Clermont's rolling hills gives you a nice breeze, even on a hot Florida summer day. Who knew Florida had hills? After a couple of hours, though, the heat definitely caught up with us. We planned to cool off by having dinner inside, but on a Saturday evening the restaurant was packed. We probably could have waited for a table, but the indoor dining area was quite warm, so we ended up heading somewhere else for dinner. Overall, we had a great time. It's a fun outing for both kids and adults, and I'd definitely recommend it for an afternoon or evening with friends or family. Just keep in mind that during the hotter months, you'll probably want to go later in the day or on a cooler evening.
