I've given this place a few tries, mainly for takeout orders, and it's just alright. The food hasn't been that memorable and my gripe, like many other Yelpers mention, is that it's very overpriced considering the quality. My most recent order was tabbouleh salad and hummus with lamb gyro meat and pita chips to accompany it. The flavor of the hummus wasn't my favorite but the meat was fine. The tabbouleh was ok. I'd describe everything as meh -- not bad but it could be a lot better for the price. I've had far better food at cheaper places. Cedar Grill is fine for when I'm wanting a quick Mediterranean fix but it generally wouldn't be my first choice for a place to eat. read more

*** To Go Order** I had the chicken Shawarma wrap. I ordered two sides of Greek dressing to go along with it. The flavors were all there along with the excellent onion rings! The only problem I would say, was the side of Greek dressing cost two dollars per side of dressing. Some places only charge you $.25 even maybe a dollar but I thought two dollars was excessive. The reason I paid for it was because I had the dressing With the old owners had this restaurant and I knew how good it taste. I stop in maybe every six months. I most always get a traditional plate of hummus, baba ghanoush, and tabouli with pita. The server was new and learning but he was the best part of the meal because he was so thoughtful and courteous throughout the service. The food a little disappointing with the tabouli being held too long tomatoes were soft and overall too much liquid. Everything else food wise was just as before right on point. The drink cost 5.00 bucks for a tea that was hard to swallow. Literally!! Will see what happens in six months with the new management?! Great location hope they can improve. read more

We were in the area and know that middle eastern restaurants usually have a good selection of vegan food options. I wasn't disappointed. The falafels were perfect, crispy outside and soft inside. I'm giving this two stars because I've been here when it's been really good, but lately the food has been pretty bad so I fear the restaurant is going down hill. Unfortunately, there is no consistency in the food. My gyro was mediocre at best. The meat was overcooked and a bit hard with crispy edges. Weirdly enough, they put the onion, tomato, and tzatziki underneath the meat, and I found that these flavors that usually compliment the gyro got lost this way. There also wasn't enough meat, sauce or veggies, so every bite was different and incomplete. I have been debating on what to name this post. I came up with this: "an odd combination that WORKS!". Though labeled outside as a Lebanese cuisine place it really has a great combination of middle Eastern, Colombian/Venezuelan, American dining place. We had typical appetizers of Falafel & Hummus with toasted chips. Made to order fresh, it was a perfect start to the main course. The main courses consisted of Shish Tawook, marinated chicken breast that was so soft we could cut it with the fork. We also had the traditional Latin American beef stew called "Sancocho" which HAD to have been made by a little, ole Grandmother in the back kitchen! It was that good! The three stars go to the meat in the Gyros. There are some friendly staff there. They just recently jacked up their Gyros price too high. I am a Chef, I know what the food cost is on a Gyros. This place is delicious!! It is very unique because it has the options of Mediterranean and Latin food. We had the opportunity to try both styles and they were amazing! Sign says open at 11:30 but didn't unlock the door until 11:45. The waitress and the cook didn't look like they knew what they were doing. I sat down waited five minutes she never came over. I left to check on my barber appointment. Came back at 12:00 and the couple that was waiting with me for them to open still hadn't received food. I went back in to let them know and the cook yelled at me saying, "I didn't put no salt on it". But how is there no salt when my first few bites sucked all the moisture out of my mouth?!? Stumbled upon Cedar Grill next to a movie theater. Not the worst Gyro I've ever had. That would be Arby's!! But but not the best either. The restaurant looks to be repurposed from a Mexican franchise, or even the "Simple Greek" franchise? My Gyro was pretty good. The lamb blend meat was good. Grilled a little to brown the edges. The Tadzhikistan sauce was watered down. Few opinions, fewer tomatoes. But Ok flavor. Service was fast and pleasant. Although it wasn't the best Gyro, it is the best and maybe only Gyro in Central Florida - Winter Garden to Clermont for sure. So, I'll will return. read more

Management has made some changes here, and they are definitely positive! The food is better than ever, and they are serving these wonderful coffees with steamed milk! It is the best cup of generic coffee I've ever ordered in a restaurant. Shawarmas, burgers, beef stew, and lentil soup were all fantastic, and Berta was a wonderful server. Let me start off by saying the timelines and cleanliness of the restaurant is great but the food is lacking, there's something missing flavor wise and consistency. I think this place tries to bring traditional metaterrian taste to there food while being cost efficient but being cost of efficient makes the quality of food suffer. The entree cost me $17 dollar which include a side. A small proportion for the price. I have eaten many Lamb and chicken over rice meals where the price is less. I suggest anyone to try Kennedy Chicken & Grill on old winter garden road. This is a great place for people who never ate this type of fare before. I placed an order of the three main but minor dishes to specifically judge this place and here's my input. 1. LAMB GYRO: cold, Pita was not grilled with olive oil lightly neither was the typical lamb meat you get with a gyro it was just cut off the cone but not grilled ,no you don't need to do this but a cold gyro is not acceptable. No flavor 2. STUFFED GRAPE LEAVES: Not your typical out of the can variety which in this case I would of much rather preffered. They were dry the leaves were not green and the veins were left in the leaves which made them very stringy and no flavor It tasted like the leaves were cooked and almost grassy like in flavor. Rolled very loosely served on top of the rice they were stuffed with. Super dry. 3. FALLAFEL: No flavor what so ever. No spices nothing just fried chick pea very simalar to a lot of places around which leads me to believe they were either pre made or scooped out of a bucket and nothing was added to them. Very bland. 4. Condiments: Tahini Sauce was runny and very watered down did not taste like anything and was not good for dipping or putting on anything cause it had no texture. Almost like milk. NO HARISSA SAUCE??? And the tzatziki sauce was super thick. Spent $30 bucks for 2 apps and a gyro. Would of felt comfortable paying $18 Not authentic. read more

We ordered a philly cheesesteak and a gyro. It was alright. We've definitely had better. Now comes the reasons to why it was "alright" edible. For the gyro-the lamb was seasoned well, it had a good amount of lamb, which was over the onions (had huge chunks that at times, the bite had nothing but an overpowering taste of raw onions), the tomatoes were diced evenly (perhaps they are purchased diced and not the onions, hence the huge chunks)... Now, the one ingredient it lacked off was the tzaziki sauce. It looked like it was served with mayo. The cheesesteak lacked seasoning on the roast beef, the cheez whiz was a weird gelatin cheez... Definitely not cheez whiz brand. It also needed more green peppers and onions. It had like four pieces/slices of onions and greens peppers. The bread was soft, small and enjoyable.
