Clermont Cafe is one of my go-to favorite restaurants. The food is always so delicious. I have yet to try a dish that isn't excellent.

This business has a limited breakfast menu where their specialty is a variety of Breakfast Burritos where I ended up ordering a Bacon Burrito for my first meal here. My burrito was well made and tasty where it had three scrambled eggs tossed with bacon, cheddar cheese, salsa and sour cream wrapped in a perfectly grilled 12 inch flour tortilla. The Burrito was quite large and generously packed with the ingredients, no skimping here, leading to a very filling meal. Other Burrito options include a Sausage burrito, Ham Burrito, Greek Burrito, Veggie Buritto, Hummus & Veggie burrito and a Sausage & Gravy Burrito. Relative to the facility and staff I would label this restaurant as your prototypical mom and pop operation. The Facility itself is nice and clean with a rustic vibe and a smallish number of tables on the order of ten or so. The staff which I believe is a husband and wife combo had the wife waiting on the tables and tending the cash register and the husband cooking. Service was very friendly with good follow up throughout the meal where my order was taken promptly and food brought out in fairly quick order. Nice! Depending on what you are looking for breakfast and what their menu offers this is an excellent choice for breakfast especially if Breakfast Burrito's are your thing. read more

My uncle said he tried this place and loved it so he brought me while I was in town, it's a cute little spot. It reminds me of like a small little artsy cafe. There was artwork all over the walls from several I'm assuming local artists for sale- super cute and what a great idea. They have tables inside that can sit 2-4 people but they fill up fast this place is extremely small, but I noticed people will wait around for a table that's how good the place was. They had a nice selection of sandwiches. I got The Italian it was so HUGE and so yummy, very tasteful and I only was able to eat half and take the other half back. The waitress was a sweetheart, very nice and accommodating. You can also tell a lot of people are regulars here. I really enjoyed this place. Parking is hard to find as it's in a community of tons of others shopping store fronts and pretty much anything you can think of but you'll find something it's worth it. My husband found this cute little gem. Absolutely delicious food and great service. I enjoyed the biscuits with sausage gravy with over easy eggs and hash brown casserole. Clermont Café might just be the cutest spot in town! We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and were warmly welcomed by some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. The husband-and-wife team has decorated the café with artwork from local artists--pieces that are also available for purchase. The menu prices are very reasonable, and our food came out quickly and fresh. There are even tables outside where you can dine with your pups, and the staff thoughtfully brings them a fresh bowl of water. With its cozy charm and community feel, this little café truly feels like a home-away-from-home place to eat! Fine dining it is not, but I gave it a five star because the overall experience and taste ... it's worth the stars! It can be hard to find something new and exciting in your hometown but Clermont Cafe consistently delivers! This place has been a staple of downtown Clermont for years. Even though they aren't the biggest or the flashiest, they are just as consistent as my 2001 Toyota Corolla. Everytime I come here I get a great meal with an even better atmosphere and service. This is a small cute cafe in the old town center of Clermont. We searched it out because I was craving a good French dip lunch and didn't want to eat concession food at a college softball tournament across town. It's run by a husband and wife team and that's all! Very simple but pretty big menu. Breakfast and lunch stuff and decent prices. When I ordered a French dip a couple of older ladies next to us did too! And so did one of another couple that came in after us that saw what I was served. Everyone loved it and the two ladies were graciously given a pre empted Togo box and they had dinner two! My shortcomings were simple and not too big a deal. I was craving one cold beer on a hot day but there is no adult bevs and only bottled things. I also expect fries with a French dip and sometimes like a little side salad too. She was friendly but explained they don't have a fryer and it's just them working there. Just bagged chips and potato or pasta salad. The pasta salad looked good at another table and the potato salad is probably good too. But it was a big one and had generous cheese which I usually don't order on a FD. My wife wasn't as hungry so she ordered hummus and naan bread. It was very good. She thought the naan was house made and it was toasted nice and seemed fresh but if they don't have a fryer I highly doubt he has a clay oven back there!! The hummus could have been made fresh and had wonderful tartness to it and served in a generous cup with seasoned olive oil and a couple olives on top. She couldn't finish it but I tried some! The water had a funny taste but to us Seattle folks, most water not from a bottle down here does too. The soups of the day looked good too! And what's cool was both sides of the place were lined with wonderful (and some not) consignment art. Give it a try if you don't want the chain crap! They're real folks serving real food!! read more

A nice family deli with lots of specials. We had the soup and some sandwiches for lunch and they were all good. The waitress/owner was very nice but service was a bit slow. I think they could benefit from another waitress to help with the lunch rush. I had an iced coffee that was honestly not good. I have visited Clermont Cafe twice now and both times my breakfast meals have been delicious. The first time was bacon and eggs over medium which were perfectly cooked. The second time I decided to go with the sausage and egg burrito, which was more than I could eat and very tasty. I would go more often if they opened earlier since I normally go there before playing golf. read more

We tried this place after seeing recommendations on social media with some photos of the offerings. We were thrilled with the quality of food and the generous portions. This place is just spectacular for sandwich quality! I don't know how anyone can complain about any of it! The reuben is the best I've ever had and it's about 4 inches high, loaded with so much corned beef. I've also had the Philly Cheesesteak and it's very good. All other sandwiches ordered by my companions looked great, as well as the soup. They also had a piece of home made chocolate cake and said it was to die for. I love the local art displayed on the walls, available for purchase. Service is always great. Prices are sooo reasonable. Portions are huge, and we usually take half home for later. I also love that they don't serve fries at all. This restaurant sets the bar for me for sandwiches (the bar is very high now) and there's just no one locally that comes even close! read more

This doesn't look like much, and in fact, I only found it one day because the other more prominent downtown breakfast spot was closed on a Friday. But once inside, you're greeted by a friendly server (just 1 for the whole place) and a wall of local art and tchotchkes. Over the holidays, there was a tree featuring handmade ornaments from local crafters which is a very cute touch offering the feel of community. Having one server for a spot like this is a bit problematic, because even though there were only 3 tables sat when we arrived, she quoted everyone after us a 30 minute wait even though half the place was empty. The food itself was good! Above average for a breakfast place. The cook on the potatoes and eggs was spot on! But it's mostly sandwiches and burritos, if that's what you're looking for. A ton of variety if you prefer a handheld breakfast, but only one platter option if you're more of a knife and fork kinda breakfast consumer. However, it's a great Len! If you're only going to do one traditional breakfast dish, it should be this great. I'll definitely return if I'm in the area. read more

Food was slightly above average but bountiful with decent presentation. I ordered the Italian sub and my friend ordered the chicken pesto sandwich, tea and water with 15% tip our bill was over $39. I normally tip 20/25% but the high cost prevented that also the coowner was the waitress. I thought it was overpriced for what we got, didn't even come with any chips or sides as they were à la cart. I am not sure how I missed the Clermont Cafe but I'm glad that I finally found it. They are located on West Montrose Street in Clermont and their diner type restaurant is excellent. We started with an order of biscuits and gravy. The gravy was creamy and had a nice amount of sausage in it. The opened the homemade biscuit and grilled it before putting gravy on top of it. This is a nice touch that adds another dimension of flavor. I ordered a basic breakfast sandwich. The egg, cheese and sausage on an English Muffin was delicious. My husband enjoyed two fried eggs, bacon and rye toast. When we heard that all of their cake, muffins and biscuits are homemade we ordered a blueberry muffin. They half the muffin and butter it before placing it on the grill. It taste amazing and I am excited to try the apple cinnamon muffin on my next visit. . read more

I tried this place because I heard great things from local business owners. On Yelp it looked like a winner. I arrived around 1 pm, the end of noon lunch crowd was just finishing up. I went inside to let the server know I was outside. I waited so long I thought it was one of those places you order at the counter and then take your seat. So I went inside to place my order. By now the lunch crowd dwindled down to myself and another table of two. I ordered a Reuben , pasta salad, coffee and a glass of water and returned to my table outside. Five minutes later I received the coffee and a bottle of water. Service lacking probably because the one gal had a rough day? My Reuben looked amazing...until I picked it up and found the bottom bread fully soaked. The meat, though abundant, was cold in the middle as was the sauerkraut....barely warm. Pasta salad lacked flavor. Felt oily in my mouth, needed an acid, maybe lemon to help it out. I will try it again but will probably get breakfast. read more

Since I'm Cuban born and I can make a really good authentic Cuban Sandwich I had to try their Cuban Sandwich and write an honest review. First time visiting Clermont Cafe and the first thing I noticed was no social distancing between tables, the host-server seems to be the owner along with possibly her husband as the chef, she was not wearing a mask or gloves, he was not wearing a mask but not sure if he had gloves as the counter was too high to see his hands. Mentioning this because we're in the middle of COVID-19 pandemic. I ordered two Cuban Sandwiches to go. The sandwiches consisted of deli boiled ham and deli pork, you don't use boiled ham and the pork should have been from the leg of the pork not the deli, Swiss cheese was good but they used Dijon Mustard instead of Yellow Mustard and they used way too many pickles, you will need a few hours of digestion to get the pickle taste out of your mouth. It's a solid no never again on the Cuban. I rated 2 stars because the other sandwiches looked amazing otherwise it would be 1 star. It's a one and done at the Clermont Cafe for me. read more

I wish I could leave a better review since this is a local business, but they need to make some improvements to keep people coming back. First, you walk in and it's dead silent- like eerily quiet. The lights are very bright and everything is super basic. For a restaurant, not a good vibe. Maybe put some music on.. pick a theme and put up decor to style it. If the food was better, it wouldn't matter so much about the ambiance. Got the French dip and the Cuban. Nothing to write home about and could easily never eat here again because it was basic and forgettable. It's like they didn't put any special touches on this place or recipes. I wish I can give them a zero instead, I will give them a one star. sat down at a table waited 10 minutes I'm assuming it was either the owner or the waitress, whoever she was acted like we were invisible. A girl from the hair salon came in as we were sitting there ordered her food, and the lady took her order right away. I had made eye contact with the waitress several times, and she never even acknowledged us, or even said, I'll be right with you just completely ignored us, as if we were invisible. While I usually respect small, family-owned and operated restaurants, I feel this place is just a little too "small" for my tastes. I have no issue with the size of the space itself, but getting drinks in styrofoam cups, and meals on tiny, cheap plastic plates, just doesn't set the mood or ambience, even for a diner-like establishment. If you had breakfast at home you'd eat in more style than this. The owners are certainly hustling, and it's easy for me to say, but even one extra pair of hands running or taking orders would be helpful. While one of the owners taking orders kept things pleasant enough, the stress of the ebbs and flows of the crowd coming in definitely was written all over her face. And while taking our order she rushed us along because she announced another diner's breakfast was ready. Not really our fault...? The food itself was pretty average. We went during breakfast and the choices understandably are rather limited. The sausage patties seemed straight off a McDonalds breakfast menu, and the hashbrown casserole was okay but served lukewarm. Nothing memorable or worthy of a drive. Probably not returning anytime soon. There are much better breakfast options to be found in a 15-minute radius. read more

My family came into town, and we were looking for a local place to eat. Most places in the area are closed on Mondays. Clermont Cafe was open and sounded good. Off the main street of downtown Clermont. The Cafe is a cute small family owned place decorated with local artists' art on the walls. We ordered sandwiches: BLT, Pastrami Ruben and an Italian. We each tried them all which were all delicious. For dessert we had Marc's Death by Chocolate and it was amazing. If you are in the area you should stop in and try it, you won't be sorry!!! read more
