So hitting back the old town of Putnam been away for years. Town has changed like the introduction of this place. Must say staff very friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to take your order. Although I did not order food, but they have a wide variety of everything. Something that would appeal to anyone and everyone. A bit pricey. So would have given this place 5 stars but the name does not match their offerings. Mine if the beer is brewed on site. Although many local and not so local brews which will delight. Plenty of seating and quiet enough to carry on a conversation. Enjoy.

Nice place in the growing Putnam downtown. Inside an old railway station, it's decorated with local railroad signs and such. The help staff is great and well attended. They were at our table even with the waitress going on break another came with our main entree. Both were nice and brought us extra napkins and checked in periodically. We had Short Rib Poutain for an appetizer. It was very cheesy and had a good portion of pork and gravy. My wife and I both had fish and chips. The chips here are homemade potato chips and there is so many we left some. Very filling. Third time in five years and gets better.

It was the Great Pumpkin fest in Putnam. We knew we wanted to have reservations as we were originally going to be a group of 7 with an infant so I wanted a little reprieve from the 'crowd.' Low and behold the festival was in the parking lot next to the Crossings- super convenient! Also, a live musician was paying right outside the main entrance. Right off the bat-I called days ahead to make a reservation. When I checked in the girl replied with a tude, " I don't know who took your reservation but we don't do that during the day on Saturdays. Let me see if I can seat you." I did not like her response, not the best customer service. We were seated immediately. My husband was not impressed with the beer. My daughter had loaded fries. The fries were left way too long in the over where the cheese was extra crispy but not burnt. My husband and I split a sampler. There was nothing special at all about the wings that were described so wonderfully on the menu it made you excited. Reality hit and no excitement. We also split a blue cheese bacon burger. I have to say, I loved what was happening with the onions. I believe they may have been pickled and the pairing with the blue cheese was good. My husband hated it! Overall, the train shouldn't stop here.

Great customer service and fairly quick turnaround to pickup food. The food that we have tried is what I would call average pub food. They have some fun, unique choices like Irish Reuben nachos. Their house chips are great and their Alfredo was really good.

    Flatbread pizza

The Flatbread pizza was pretty good. We wish the bottom of the Flatbread was a little more crispy though. It was still pretty good eating.

I have been here many times, and will be here again. However, I was disappointed when I noticed on the bottom of their menu it said that they charged an extra 2 dollars to split an entree. I understand that prices need to go up, but when you're charging these kind of prices for an entree and have the nerve to charge extra if someone can't afford 2 of them, it's just bad business and bad customer service. So what if 2 people split and entree? Especially when you're f***ing us charging 7 dollars plus on a beer, and you're charging federal hill prices for a dish. Service was excellent as usual.

The food and service is consistent here. The portions are pretty substantial, and leaving you wondering if you can finish your meal, or get the rest to go. After testing several different menu items from the fish and chips, burgers and apps, I think the poutine is my fave. The dining room is roomy, and they offer outdoor seating as well. It's a nice mid level dining experience

The hostess, who was on was very new, and I don't think she fully understood what I was asking. She ended up telling me that, Yes it was a normal beef Wellington. Cool, so excited, don't see those often. We get there, I order it because I already asked for clarification and didn't think I'd need to ask a second time. As we were waiting for our food, I saw some dishes come out from the table across from us and the waitress said, "Here is your beef Wellington". I realized that it was a concept of beef Wellington, but not a traditional beef Wellington, which is what I'd been worried about. We hadn't seen our server in a while so I went over to the bar and let them know that I wanted to cancel my order because it just wasn't what I wanted and the price tag was $60. I've been willing to pay that if it was what I had my heart set on, but it wasn't. They said they would cancel it. In a little bit, someone then came over, not our waitress, to tell me that I will be charged half of the price of the beef Wellington because I canceled it and it was already made. And of course, I was not OK with that. I once again explained to them that I had called and asked if it was a traditional beef Wellington and was told that yes it was. They said that the hosts are not trained on the menu so they cannot answer questions on them. I then asked what is the point of having someone who is untrained on the menu answer your phones because sometimes people are going to ask questions before they choose to come to a restaurant. I refused to pay the $30, she stated she would have to call the manager back because the manager was not on premises that day and see what she could do. In the meantime, they brought out the beef Wellington that they made and tried to entice me to eat it and I of course said no thank you. Finally, they told me I didn't have to pay. I ordered the stew appetizer. It was very small but tasty, and I was pretty hungry at that point so I'm glad I ordered it. Not sure I'd try this place again, but maybe if I lived closer. Not having a manager on premises really made it tough, it was a massive waiting game to get an answer, and I've never heard of a place blame the customer for their knowledge gaps. I definitely will not be going out of my way to come here again.

Our server came and took our drink orders and provided us with menus. We chose the pretzel sticks that come with beer cheese. Entrees were the chicken tenders with barbecue sauce and the heifer burger minus the jalapeños. Strawberry margaritas completed the order. The pretzel sticks are served piping hot, you can see the steam coming off them as you dip them in the great tasting cheese. The are soft any nicely salted, just the right amount of salt. The chicken tenders arrived covered in a great tasting barbecue sauce. Baby carrots, a side of extra barbecue sauce, and blue cheese completed the dish. There are plenty of tenders in the order, enough so that we took some home for another meal. The barbecue sauce was nice and tangy and complemented the tenders perfectly. The heifer burger was served on a nice soft bun alone with crispy bacon and gorgonzola cheese. Could have had more cheese for my taste but no complaints on what was done with it. The burger was cooked a perfect medium rare and it was well seasoned and very large. It came with a large portion of French fries and pickles on the side. The fries were very crispy and stayed hot throughout the meal. This was definitely a great meal. Service was very good as our server was very attentive and took good care of us. Been here before and we'll be going back. A great place with a large enough menu that everyone should find something they will like.

I also got some BBQ chicken potato skins. The restaurant itself is very pleasant, a large interior that you wouldn't guess from the outside. It has a cozy ambiance, and it has a very local feel as a lot of the other customers and the staff seemed to know each other. The staff are also super friendly and there wasn't much time between any time I needed something and receiving it. The soup and salad bar is on the menu for $15 standalone and I'm not sure the limited variety warrants that, but as a part of the meal it was just enough. I really enjoyed the beef and bean soup, though the New England clam chowder was pretty bland. The salad bar was well kept and had enough to make a solid salad. The prime rib came out before the potato skins appetizer, so that was odd, but at least you know the kitchen isn't holding dishes up under a heat lamp. The potato skins were alright but the chicken was pretty dry and nothing I'd order again. The real disappointment was the prime rib. My knife wasn't sharp enough to get through the rubbery skin that surrounded it, rather than having a nice seasoned crust. The meat was firm and fairly flavorless, and the au jus that came with it didn't add anything either. The whole preparation needed more salt, pepper, herbs, and maybe a touch of aging to let it penetrate. The mashed potatoes and gravy, similarly, were bland and unenjoyable. I can say the menu is broad, so you may find something else on it, but I don't think this is your destination for delectable prime rib.
