Swerve offers a full suite of services and has a well maintained Instagram if you want to go through individual stylists recent work. I love that they have online appointments which make booking very easy. They've almost always had some availability in a short time frame and offer evening weekday appointments. Prices are really reasonable especially for some of the newer stylists. Prices are clearly listed on their booking system by stylist and service which I really appreciate. I've been with different stylists and they have all been great. Recently had a very great haircut with Emmie who was great about listening to my preferences. Maddy as well did a fantastic color/balayage for me that had grown out well even after a year. I had a minor issue with a service recently and the staff were so so nice about immediately accommodating me for a fix up.

I was told "maybe the clock is broken," with no apology or effort to fix the situation. The overall experience felt unprofessional. The linens had a noticeable mildew smell, which made me uncomfortable right away. The massage itself was disorganized and at times painful in a concerning way, not therapeutic pressure but pressing directly on bones. I had booked a deep tissue massage, but no area was worked on long enough to actually release tension. It felt like random, surface level movements rather than intentional work, and it didn't provide any relief. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this did not meet basic expectations for professionalism or quality. I would not return or recommend.

I am still there for the 2 minute walk from my home but please new and prospective new members know that their assurances of new equipment and remodel is highly unlikely. Facility A/C was down for nearly two weeks and they kindly offered access to other locations, no small %off our monthly membership fee. Also, you mat freeze your membership with a $50 / month fee.

Not only did it not make the massage feel as good but I could hear the sound of the gloves when she massaged me. The room also had weird music that was hard to hear because of the loud blower in the room. The pillow used to put under my legs was severely worn and the sheets and blanket were old too. When I flipped over she said the dimmer on the lights wasn't working so she put a piece of light colored cloth over my eyes that kept falling off. After the massage she said I would of been better off with a 90 minute. I don't think so. 45 minutes was more than enough. I thought about ending the massage at the beginning but decided to just go with it. When I checked out to pay their credit card machine wasn't working so she had to punch the number in manually.

Don't be afraid people, this is the future. Amazing experience, equally amazing results! A wonderful and progressive addition to the neighborhood. I did a whole cryotherapy session for a pinched nerve in my back and I can't believe the results. No need for Advil as the shooting pain that I was experiencing down my leg has completely disappeared. I also feel incredible energetic still at the end of a long day when I am usually very sluggish. I'm not sure how or why it works, but I have to admit that there is something to it. I also seriously love the low time commitment of the treatments. It is amazing to be able to walk in and out in 10 minutes and get the results described above. If you are unsure of the whole body cryotherapy I would highly recommend the facial. It feels amazing and you leave with glowing, radiant skin. Last thing I will say is I'm all in for the whole body as apparently you can burn 500-800 calories afterward. If that is not a reason enough to try it, I don't know what is. By the way, the whole body although it sounds crazy is really not that bad. You are only in there for 3 minutes tops. I love CryoBar! The space is beautiful, the staff is warm and knowledgable, and the machines are incredible. I'm addicted to both the full body treatment and the facial. The full body treatment leaves my body feeling energized and my muscles feel soothed after challenging workouts. The facials are gentle and wonderfully effective. I've wanted to try Cryo for a long time and wasn't sure what to expect, except that it would be cold. And cold it was! It is a blast though... and likely the most efficient three minutes of your day. The owner there is incredible- she chatted with me during my first visit, talked me through the experience, etc. The coolest part (excuse the pun): you get the endorphin rush like you would from working out. This was my first time going to CryoBar, after one of my team mates @ Chicago Endurance Sports recommended it. I used as part of my recovery strategy after running the Chicago Marathon. I love both the body treatment and the facial. I have already gone twice and it hasn't even been a full week. I am excited to go again. After the body treatment, I felt great all day. With these two intense sessions, I was able to keep up with my fellow travelers the entire trip. Upon returning, I had regular sessions with Dr. Katz who gave me exercises to do on a daily basis. I was considering my back to be completely healed, when I started having numbness and tingling in my hands which I shared with Dr. Katz. She treated me on Monday, Dec. 30 and I have been pain free, sleeping very well for the past three days. Today, we agreed that I will have 18 more sessions to address this new condition. I will be 72 in three weeks. I have grandchildren aged 6 and 2 and I want to be able to keep up with them. I have trips planned with my husband and my sisters and I want to enjoy it all. I underwent the MOXI laser therapy and my right eye was not covered properly and I currently have keratitis due to this damage from the laser. I am a physician as well and I spoke with the medical director, Dr. Demetria. Dr. Demetria is a GI trained physician who contradicted the diagnosis of an ophthalmologist and treated me in a very disrespectful, inappropriate manner. Instead of trying to take care of the problem, or acknowledge any issues to prevent this from happening to anyone else, he tried to deflect blame and counsel me on the different causes of keratitis. He also tried to blame me for not checking in sooner. Instead of trying to get my feedback and ask for my experience to prevent this from happening to someone else, he insisted that his protocol was followed, even though he was not there during my appointment. There are risks and complications that come along with any procedure, and it is important that people are treated in a compassionate way when this occurs. Dr. Demetria runs this med spa, and was unprofessional, lacked empathy and clearly has one bottom line- that is not patient care. They tried to offer me store credit- I would never return to this spa. I will continue to escalate this matter. Look elsewhere, do not come here, I truly wish I hadn't. ***EDITED AFTER RESPONSE FROM MIKE DEMETRIA*** As a physician, you should understand the concept of an ophthalmologist colleague that was kind enough to examine and diagnose me in between his clinic patients when I was concerned about a week of progressive photophobia and blurry vision. This is why I do not have formal documentation, as I explained over the phone. As a physician, I would hope that you understand the importance of scope of practice and expertise, it is one thing that a gastroenterologist is supervising these procedures with no formal dermatologic clinical training or expertise. Furthermore, you go one step further in trying to discredit the evaluation and opinion of a board certified ophthalmologist in the diagnosis of keratitis. Mike Demetria was defensive and tried to shift blame from our initial conversation. There was no effort to understand or try to prevent this from happening to future patients. I encourage others to take caution, this is not a patient centered practice and Mike Demetrius clearly has one goal- profit at all costs. As advised, I will continue to escalate.
