I had such an amazing self care day at milk and honey by myself. Like others have mentioned, you have to the ring the door to be let in and then either take the stairs or elevators to the 2nd floor. It's a beautiful setup with a clean and relaxing ambience. I love their steamed showers. Their lounge area had little snacks and plenty of couches to chill on before/after your treatments. I booked a massage followed by a facial. My massage experience was just ok. However, I loved my facial experience. They use high end skincare products such as skinceuticals and osea. My facial oat was very gentle and knowledgeable and gave me great skin care advice afterwards. My face felt so clean afterwards and I was absolutely glowing. The massage I had was terrible. The massage therapist asked me what I wanted him to focus on prior to the massage and I told him my lower back. He specifically avoided my lower back during the entire massage. When I reached out to the Spa indicating what a terrible experience it was, no one ever reached out to me. I had an early AM appointment. When I came, I had to ring the door bell to go upstairs. I checked in and went to the male locker room. I LOVE the steam shower. Each locker has a unique code and a bathrobe. I went ahead and changed then went into the lobby area. They have water and these glazed pecans. It's so beautiful in here! I love how calming the entire space is. This spa is definitely on the pricey side but there are quite a bit of amenities that make it worth it. The locker room and showers are so nice. They offer you your own locker, with a very comfy robe and soft cushion-y slippers. And they have steam showers available for after your service. Albeit the shower took me a hot (pun intended) minute to figure out- but eventually got it. The lounge area you wait in is really nice too. Love the aesthetic of it. Plus there is complimentary light snacks and beverages there. I booked a 75 minute Swedish massage. It was very nice and relaxing. The masseuse was nice and knowledgeable. She recommended a cbd oil for some shoulder pain I have, I agreed to it, but not sure if it really made a difference. However it was only a $10 up charge. They have a nice store area, with products and gifts. I didn't feel pressure to buy anything at checkout but I definitely took a walk around to see what they had. Unsure if I'll be back, as it was pricey and there's so many options in the city. But for the time I was there, I enjoyed myself and felts very pampered. read more

I had been to another location once before. One of the original spas in Austin. Different decor and vibe, but same excellent products and good service. I wanted to try this location when I was as visiting the area. This one is a little harder to find, but just go upstairs and you'll arrive into a light filled lobby. Justine welcome us. I was directed to the changing room where t put on a robe, slides, and headed to the waiting/lounge room. The wait for my facial was significant. I think the aesthetician was late. Maybe 35 minutes late. Anyway, there are worst places to wait. The quiet room in the back was full of cream couches and lounge chairs. Snacks like almonds and tea were at a self service station. Perfect because it was very air conditioned back there. My facial was nice. We both chatted too much, so the relaxation part didn't work. She was good though. Throughout The Service I Was Left Under The Steamer With A Wet Towel On My Face For Long Periods Of Time Just Lying There, This Happened Multiple Times! I Felt Like the Majority Of The Hour I Was Just Lying There Waiting For The Next Step In My Facial It Was So Awkward! To Really Add Fuel To The Fire As I Am Waiting For My Ride, I Overheard The Staff Talking About Me After The Service, Which Is Completely Unprofessional And Unacceptable. While The Front Desk Staff At Least Attempted To Apologize And Offer A Discount, It's Disappointing That The Situation Wasn't Handled Better In The Moment. The GM Never Called Me To Ask Me About My Experience She Just Sent Me An Email Stating The Facial Provided To Me Met The Standards Of Milk And Honey. Deshawn (sp?) was great for my massage - he started massaging my back muscles with the sheet and blanket still on top and I was concerned I wouldn't get a proper massage. But then I was in heaven the rest of the time - he said he wanted to warm up the muscles around my spine before starting. I added the foot massage at the end - badly needed. I had a fantastic facial with Kate here! The amenities are nice. The spa feels clean and relaxing, and Milk + Honey really provides the full spa experience for a facial. It's definitely on the pricey side, but I thought Kate was thorough and really knew her stuff and listened to my skin concerns. The only downside -- aside from this being an EXPENSIVE spot -- is the sales push at the end. That's always my least favorite aspect of a spa visit. It felt incongruous to recommend a $164 dollar facial moisturizer to me after I just finished a deep facial cleansing. I'd love for nice spas like this to do away with that! First off this place is gorgeous and sets a tone and vibe of relaxation the moment you enter. You have a very nice changing area equipped with showers hair products lockers and luxurious robes and shoes. You then go to a very aesthetically pleasing waiting room and wait to be called for a wonderful experience. They have wide range of spa treatments however, my friend surprised me with a visit here for my first real facial and we both got the signature facial. The room was the perfect temperature and the bed was warm so super relaxing and the women who did our facials talked the perfect amount (not too much) and made great suggestions based on what they are seeing. There are multiple phases of the facial including a steamer and removing any things they dig out from your skin with a tool but they use exactly the right pressure so you feel zero discomfort and you won't come out super red or bruised looking they cool you down with these glass balls and other cooling mixture. Since they also take care off your décolletage you should definitely remove your bra and necklaces. Grace and Katie were both wonderful for us and we would recommend them. They have a store with skin items they will recommend for you based on what they are seeing on your face and skin types. I was recommended the Detox Purifying scrub. The prices are a little higher but not horrible. Overall, we will be back and are planning next visit already because we left glowing and my skin felt baby soft and moisturized for days! read more

Fall 2023 update Back again on a Saturday. Wonderful facial again with Jade and 2 hour deep tissue massage with Monsura. It was my first massage here and she did great with the *hurts so good* pressure. Still not overjoyed with the amenities.. *Much more crowded and less tidy this time. *Only tea was a caffeinated black tea this time so I stuck with water. *Towels were sparse to come by, body wash was out in my shower. *I noticed used cups in the relaxation lounge in the same places for hours before and after my services. They need work on staffing on the weekends it seems. But that's no reflection on the services which were great. Will be back! read more

Got a mani and pedi here during my Chicago trip. A very luxurious experience, more than I'm used to. My nail tech was Naomi and she was very sweet despite my mom and I being on a "time crunch". They offer more natural alternatives than many other shops I've been to. Everyone seemed kind and open to chatting. Located on State Street, I had my first face massage, and I was not disappointed. I was able to ascertain the ingredients and found it clean. My face was exfoliated and very soft for 24 hours. I wanted to try a massage for circulation, and upon the suggestion of a staff member, she booked the signature massage. It was nice, but I discovered that I really wanted the lymph node massage. I used the honey lotion, and my body was soft for 24 hours. I got a late night massage, and I did sleep well. I do look forward to the lymph node massage in the future. read more

There are also no additional facilities besides a "steam" shower which is just a shower, really. I'd look for a spa where they don't take every opportunity to skimp you on your time and maybe has some extra benefits like a sauna or hot tub. read more

The scheduler I spoke with on the phone misheard me and began scheduling us for a couples massage, I very politely corrected her and began to ask if they'd be able to make a similar accommodation for facials instead. Rather than let me finish asking my question, the scheduler interrupted me, raised her voice and said no, and would not explain further. My problem started when I accidently left my necklace in the robe. I realized I left it maybe 20 minutes after my appointment. I called the facility immediately and of course the receptionist said that she'd have someone look for it. As expected, I heard nothing. I was the first customer that day at the spa and my robe was the only robe in the used hamper bin. I called 4 times that day with no updates. The next day I also called. I have been waiting for the perfect time to go for some #metime and took a day off to do it. It was my first time here so I was looking forward to coming since I saw the advertisement on Facebook. And since they recently opened, there's a nice discount code which I used when booking. DeJa was great! I booked the 120 signature massage as anything less than 1 hour for me isn't worth it. Between the knots I had from sitting face to the computer, she reinvigorated my muscles for them to be so tense. The room was cozy with spa music playing and an added touch was the eucalyptus she brought for me to get relaxed. My back is my Achilles heal and I would pay just to have the full 120 minutes just for my back. The locker room has bathrooms, shower that you can have steam included, and an area that you can write what you're grateful for. Oh, and they are cashless, so make sure you bring your credit card. Had an AMAZING massage with Justin and saw Cindy for an incredibly transformative reiki session this month. These are two of the best practitioners I have ever come across. Justin is a great massage therapist. Incredibly informative, caring, gentle yet firm. I have myofascial pain syndrome and fibromyalgia so even with regular massage I am usually in pain about 2 days after getting a massage but after seeing Justin I was pain free FOR A WEEK!!!! That has never happened!! I had mobility in my upper back and shoulders that I haven't had in years. I have never felt so great!! I saw Cindy for a reiki session as well and let me tell you, I trust this woman with my life. I feel like a new person. My energy has never felt better. She is a force of nature. She is so sweet and caring. A god send. I've already told so many people to go see her and I would shout it from the roof tops if I had the chance. I immediately felt like a weight had been lifted from my shoulders following our session. I feel more optimistic about life. The spa itself is cozy, the robes are so comfortable, it smells great. When you arrive (depending on your service) you're led to the locker rooms where you change into a spa robe and some slippers.The locker rooms have steam showers which are such a treat. I've seen a few massage providers (shout out to Deja and Josh!) but I am now devoted to Candace. I usually book a 75-minute Signature massage with her. She's an excellent masseuse and a really warm and funny person; I'm so grateful to be one of her customers!
