    Concession stand

Went last night for the movie screening for Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War. The theater is not hard to find. Parking is nearby in a parking garage which is free for the first 3 hours with validation. Was in line around 06:20p. Just myself and about a handful of others waiting in line. Went in to speak with someone about checking in and they said someone will be out to do it at 06:30p. No one came out until around 7:00p. Finally got inside after receiving our wristbands. Ordered food at the concession stand and was told it'll be about 6 mins for everything. Grabbed some popcorn. It was free along with a soda or small bottle of essential water. Went and grabbed us some seats up top with no problem. Came back, food still wasn't ready. Went to the bar to grab us some drinks while we waited. Our food still wasn't ready. Went over to the waiting area where they give you your order, food still wasn't ready lol. We waited about 20 mins for our food. I ordered some plain nachos, veggie rolls and crispy sliders. So we missed about the first 10-15 mins of the movie. I'm not tripping I just would've appreciated a better time being quoted because the 6 mins really took about 20 mins. The bar drinks were good tho. Prices aren't bad either. A 6 oz glass of Chardonnay was $12 and a Golden Hour Sour was $16. Snacks and entree prices were reasonable also. No complaints on the prices and I enjoyed all of the food. It was also a good movie. Won't get into details but I'm glad I got the tix. We had a great night out. Look forward to doing it again.

Classic movie theater right down the path from culver studios There is validated parking in the lot down the street. Also you can find street parking Although this theater is more classic, the seats are very comfortable- like pilot seats with adjustable armrest/drink holder. The sound system is very good. The theater is very well maintained overall quality and clelalnliness There is a seating area out in the lobby too Relaxing area with restaurants and an Erewon nearby

The location is absolutely gorgeous with a bunch of really good restaurants all over! The Culver Theater itself is very nice, clean with friendly stuff running it! They also have a nice looking bar where you can get drinks.

Came to this location for a screening event and it was a bit overwhelming. The line was disorganized, Staff weren't as helpful as they literally told us "they didn't know" when we asked questions. Not many food options, and the seats didn't recline or have much leg room. They didn't have parking so I was told to park at Trader Joe's and they will validate so you have to walk a couple a mins. Not sure if the event is what shaped my experience or the venue itself but not sure if I return as I prefer more luxury style movie experience.

This theater is good on many levels. The movies shown are always excellent, including foreign and independent films. The theaters are intimate, clean, with comfy seats. It's situated in a lively fun part of Culver City. The concessions are top quality-- the popcorn is done well. And they have a nice small bar area where you can sip a cocktail while you wait or take them in theater.

It's the @light_skin_dragon coming to you with a premier that I will never forgot and on top of that got to meet the couple that the movie was based on. Which was based on the true story of the indigenous ppl living in Brazil and how the government was destroying their place of living because they lived in the forest. After the movie I was invited to meet with Jama and her husband which there was a translator because they spoke Portuguese. It was located on the second deck and they had nice smelling food. I took some back home for my daughter because I can't eat yet. The only reason I gave this place a 4 because the screening provided popcorn and water or a drink. I took 2 waters and the man at the front checking wristbands said one per person so I ask the person who worked there at concessions she said that fine. Parking well there are a few gauges around and it's free for 2 hours and the city of Culver City gives one additional free.

I had an amazing time here when coming for a screening! I've been coming here for years and it's such a lovely space. I love the lobby area and the bar has its own unique vibe that makes it perfect for hanging out before or after a film. The theater itself is very cozy and comfortable and has great sound and picture quality. They do a great job of keeping it updated while also preserving its architecture. The staff working there were so friendly and accommodating. They do a great job of cleaning and maintaining the theater while also being helpful! Parking is easy in the nearby public lots as well as street parking in the neighborhood areas.

cool theater with a lot of nice spots around. saw a lot of boba shops that were closing so i hope to check them out next time! came here to watch marty supreme on a tuesday. tickets were $9. comfortable seating but seats don't recline. clean bathrooms. overall, enjoyed my experience here. staff was friendly. we parked in a garage that was listed on their website. parking validation is between theaters 2 and 3. we paid $1 for 3 hrs.

A hidden gem cinema theater in LA! My local theatre that I go to. The former ArcLight Cinemas closed years ago and the theatre was left empty until Amazon took over this space, made it nice and pretty and kept the movie experience alive in Culver City. Very fitting as Culver City had so much film history. I really dig this theater, no IMAX screen but a state of the art high definition screen and amazing surround sound! I also like that it's a small theatre overall with a bar, concession stand and plenty of restaurants outside just feet away in Downtown Culver City. They show recent blockbusters but also old school movies during the weekend for as low as around $8. The theatre validates for 2 hours parking on selected garages. Visit their website to see which garages are eligible. Wish it was at least 3 hours since most movies are 2.5-3 hours. If you sign up for their free membership, you get a free popcorn when you sign up, birthday popcorn, and earn points to redeem for food at the concession stand. Friendly staff and service. I highly recommend it.

Very strangely, after living in LA for 4 years, I went to Culver City for two different events in the same week. One was a LA Times sponsored screening with Billy Crystal (icon amirite?!) and the other was for a festival. It's such a unique and beautiful theater with a gorgeous facade and little courtyard area outside. That blue sign is legend status! And very nice staff. You can park at 9099 Washington Blvd. and get free 3 hour validation with ticket. This lot also has a few electric vehicle charging stations. The seats inside aren't very comfortable but this is an old school theater so comes with the territory. They don't recline so hopefully you don't plan on relaxing tooooo~ much. They have a normal concession stand for movie-goers, with a full bar, as well. Coming here for the sole purpose of watching movies, I'd pass as I like a comfy, reclining seat. However, for events this is fantastic! You can use the main area for refreshments and mingling prior to entering theaters for screenings. It's fabulous and fun!

This place was great! We watched LILO and Stitch. This place is underrated for sure! Maybe not, but it seemed like the screen was bigger here than at other theaters and louder. The movie price was cheap and with a membership we had unlimited popcorn and soda. I look forward to coming back!

A nice theater but just like any other theater that isn't torn down and old. It looks nice forsure and when I say it's a theater similar to others it just means there's nothing special about the theater but there is also nothing wrong with it. Definitely a good spot if you live in Culver. Price wise, average tickets ranging from 16-22 dollars depending on what you're watching and the time of day. The concession stands are pricey as usual with nah other theater. Staff members are nice!

Ask the Community - The Culver Theater

Do they use real butter on the popcorn like the previous owner, Arclight, did?

You should call them or check their website to ask this question. Most businesses do not check Yelp to answer your questions.

Are there reclining seats at the theater?

You can push the back a bit but they don't really recline

Do they have food service in the theater?

No, only bar area and concession stand. However, there are plenty of places to eat around the area within walking distance.

Do the seats recline at this theater?

Unfortunately not. However, they are comfy

Where to park near here? One posted they don't validate for the Culver Steps structure, then another says they do? What about at the Trader Joe's structure? Any other (Free/validated) parking nearby?

This AMC is clean, beautiful, and spacious. The popcorn tastes different from other locations. I think other AMC popcorn tastes better, I don't know what they do differently here! It's not the butter, it's the popcorn itself. The staff are the stars of the location. Twice now, we missed our viewing times. Life happens! We worked with the guest services staff and they helped us move our viewing times. Of course, it helped that there were plenty of seats available during the time. Still, they were so kind and patient with us through the process. The process was also not easy because they had to print so many different receipts and verification processes. Nevertheless, they moved our tickets and we were able to have wonderful experiences. If they fix the issue with the popcorn flavor, this location would be a 5/5!

My son has been wanting to see Devil Wears Prada 2 and the first one is one of his favorite movies of all time. Personally, I don't like that movie but I went along with him. Tickets are $25 each and they have a $4 parking garage, but we were lucky enough to get a free after-hour meter on the street. It's a nice place and it seems like comfort is their top priority. The recliner chairs are extremely comfy and come with a blanket in case you get cold. You know how movie theaters are always chilly. Once you get settled, you can press a button that sends an employee over to take your order. It's completely optional. We got one small popcorn (light butter, $6) which was big enough for both of us. I like this idea of having the option of ordering and dining at your seat while watching a movie, but the reality is a bit different. It's kind of annoying to see the employees coming and going when someone needs a refill or places a new order during the movie. You can hear them talking and they can even block your view. It's frustrating when you are trying to focus. With that being said, I think it has more pros than cons. There are bars and bathrooms located across the several floors and the one we went to was exceptionally clean. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this theatre. While I understand policies exist, I was surprised that no reasonable accommodation or alternative seating was offered for a disabled patron who was simply waiting for family. What upset me most was not just the lack of accessibility-minded accommodations, but the dismissive attitude I encountered from several employees and the difficulty I had even obtaining the manager's name. For a theater that emphasizes comfort and premium service, I expected far more compassion, professionalism, and awareness regarding accessibility needs.

Review #925 2025-103…read more My gal pal invited me & my son to attend a Zootopia 2 private industry screening at The Crescent Theater with her husband. Located on Crescent Dr. & Wilshire Blvd., The Crescent Theater is a 114-seat private theater with 4K Christie CP-4220 Digital Cinema projector & 5.1 audio equipment that's calibrated regularly along with the light level for optimal settings. An underground parking garage is located off Crescent Dr. just north of Wilshire Blvd. Proceed to the single "visitor" lane, select the "ticket" button for a parking ticket, & proceed to P2 or P3 for parking. Make sure to get a validation sticker for your parking ticket, & stick it on the non-printed/blank side to be scanned at the time of exit. The assigned theater parking was relatively empty & dark, my son said it was kinda scary being in the garage & hurried to the elevators. Once we arrived to the designed floor, there was clear signage directing you to the theater. An agent was posted near the entrance to check-in guests; no tickets or QR codes like the regular theaters. The theater itself was nice with gradual stadium seating. We sat in the middle at the right edge, but still had a nice view. The movie was scheduled to start at 1:00 PM, & the projectionist started the movie about 10-mins. after; no movie previews to sit through. Yasss! Due to the private nature of the screening, no drinks (except bottled water) & snacks are allowed, & none were provided. The sound was crisp & clear, though a bit too loud for my taste. The seats were ok; normal, no reclining with barely enough space for someone to walk past without stepping on your toes. The audience was respectful of others; no one was talking, the kids stayed in their seats, no crinkling or rustling of snack bags. It was a pleasant experience with no conflicts... we thoroughly enjoyed watching Zootopia 2 at The Crescent Theater on a Sunday afternoon. There's a bright, airy lobby that's perfect for lounging before & after the movie. It's currently decorated for the winter holidays. No concession stand like the typical theater. I love The Crescent Theater... would love to be invited back for future screenings!

There was a huge turn-out so I understand what other reviewers were saying about the lobby being small --BUT! That kind of added to the fun-- being packed like sardines in a lobby where everyone was excited to see this movie. Everything for the event was set up nicely. The marquee, the themed drinks -- "gummy bear martinis" just like the characters had in the movie -- and the red carpet outside. It was all extremely fun and festive. Even if the lobby was crowded there were spaces to mill around outside -- and everyone got popcorn and a drink before we went in, which was also nice and done well. (It was well organized and smooth sailing to get our treats.) The theatre itself was comfortable (old-school as others have said) -- and although some people in other reviews mentioned "small seats" they seemed fine. We're by no means "small" (5'7" and 6') and the seats were plenty big for us. They're just not the ginormous recliners that you sometimes find at the cookie-cutter places. The screen was great and we enjoyed our view of the never-before-seen "Crazy Bones" 80s-style slasher movie. As the mom of one of the actors, I had to close my eyes before she "died" -- but other than that, this was an amazing, happy celebration that I know we'll all remember forever. Afterward there was a Q&A with the actors which was also set up nicely and a lot of fun. We truly enjoyed the event and would recommend it to others, no hesitation, for their special events.
