My husband ordered a dozen cupcakes for my birthday on a Saturday. He picked them up Friday , they wrapped the box in plastic wrap to keep them "fresh"..... I ordered my daughters birthday cake via email and had sent in some pictures of exactly what I wanted. The theme was my little pony, with Rainbow dash on the top, and rainbow whip topping on a rainbow layered cake. I was reassured my the decoration was being accommodated. When I went to pick up the cake, the colors where pastel rather than the flashy color scheme that I sent. I gave the baker the benefit of the doubt thinking this is their own creation. When we cut the cake, it was EXTREMELY HARD!!! And the cake was nothing to what I sent in. No rainbow layers, just blob of colors. To add to all of this, the cake was hard, with a consistency of corn bread!!! This cake and the cupcakes I bought cost me a total of $140 or so, and it was the worst cake ever!! I worked with Taylor at The Cupcake Couture and she was amazing! Easy to talk to, good customer service, and truly cared about making my wedding special. My husband and I showed up on a Friday to test taste some cupcakes, no appointment. Taylor worked with us so we could try a wide variety of cupcakes and provided the extensive list of other cupcakes available (so many options - I wish I could have tried them all!). We ordered 70 cupcakes and a small round cake we did 3 different kinds of cupcakes (cookie dough was the favorite of the night). Our ceremony was at a different location, but Taylor made sure everything was setup at our reception for our guests when they arrived - it looked amazing. Cupcake Couture offers different stand options for rent depending on what style you are going with. It made it a stress-free experience overall. I have made trips to this business before and have had truly delicious cupcakes. However.. I had my significant other pick me up cupcakes yesterday evening and was sadly disappointed. They come in a cute box! I had the cotton candy cupcake and the appearance of the cupcake was spot on! unfortunately there wasn't any flavor and it was pretty dry, I couldn't even taste vanilla none the less cotton candy. I also tried the Reese's cupcake and this one again was decorated nicely and at least had the peanut butter flavoring, but yet still dry. I desperately wanted to give 5 stars, because like I said I have been before and had wonderful flavorful cupcakes! I will definitely try again in a few months! read more

Mediocre at best. Typical cupcake from a typical cupcake shop. Too dense, somewhat dried out cake with not much flavor, and a dollop super sweet icing on top. If that's your tastes, than this is your place. Not real sure why this is a trend but whatever. Trust me when I say this, I'm a huge sweets fan and I don't have a sophisticated palate and this is not a snobby review by any means. I just think that these establishments exist mostly to supply a trend with very cutely decorated snacks that are mostly for looks rather than taste. I had pre ordered small cakes for a birthday party a month prior to the event. I had spent an entire day driving around to all the local bakeries and showing them pictures of what I wanted to find the right place. I chose this place because the baker was confident in her ability to do them and was able to do them the size we needed instead of going bigger. I emailed the pictures, color I wanted and names to be put on them. When I pre paid a week later, the price from the quote went up $35, which I had to later asked to be refunded when I found the quote we had written down. When I picked up the cakes, I glanced quick because there was a big storm and I had been asked to pick them up a day early so the bakery could close for the following day due to weather. I had to get back home in time for dinner so I did not spend the time I should have making sure they were as expected. I got home and my husband asked why I had cakes that look like a bush on a flower pot (they were supposed to be little monsters). The wrong decorating tip was used for the cake (a star instead of shaggy grass/hair look), and then two people asked why their eyes were flowers, the colors were not as pictured, there were cookies in place of icing for hands and feet, no horns, the borders were on the wrong tier, no names on either cake l and the monsters didn't even have mouths! I called asking for solutions and there were none offered except to add the border on the other tier. I was told that she didn't think I would want them to look exactly like the picture and thought I only cared about the color of the bottom and the monster. I drove back to the shop and asked for them to be redone because there were too many errors and they didn't even have their names on them. She attempted to politely argue and state she didn't think she even had their names, so I resent the email that had the color requests next to the names- since she had made the monsters the correct colors, I can only assume she then had that email weeks prior. I was called back an hour later to pick them up, they had been fixed. When I returned they did look better but still not even close to what was promised or expected and it was all very thrown together. I am also pretty positive it is against health codes to take a cake back in and then re-serve it once it has left your establishment. I had assumed she would throw out the poorly made ones and start over to follow health codes, but getting them back one hour later tells me this was not the case. I was extremely disappointed in the bakers lack of desire to provide a quality pr and as promised. There were no solutions offered and it took me driving back and putting them on the counter to even begin to get some sort of solution. Needless to say I will never recommend this place for anything custom or outside their pre baked sale case. Poor customer service, poor quality products, and overpriced for what is offered. read more

My daughter and I went in for the first time today. The first thing she did was go to the kids area. It was so cute, and she forgot we were even there for cupcakes lol After pulling her away from playing, she saw the station where she could create her own cupcake. It's pictured. She did chocolate cake with vanilla frosting, gummy bears, and pink sprinkles. I chose a banana cream cupcake. It is pictured as well. There was a cream filling too! The best part was when I saw that they make dairy/gluten free cupcakes. My boyfriend has a dairy allergy and rarely ever gets to enjoy dessert. So, I bought two for him. He's already had one, and he was so happy! I wish I had known about this bakery when I needed a birthday cake for him a couple weeks ago. Oh, I also love that they have boozy cupcakes. Lemon blueberry and almond joy cupcakes were fantastic. Almond joy was perhaps one of the best cupcakes I've ever had. They had filling not just fancy frosting. Also the kids area was fun for our little ones to creatively play. read more

Sadly disappointed. This place really seems to have lost its touch. They had an open house this week that was a mess. Seemed to be only 2 people working. Not sure why they hadn't expected and been prepared for the crowd they had. The cupcakes we bought were not as good as our previous purchases. Decided to stop again today and they were again awful. They were dry and crumbly and the frosting was hard. There was supposed to be filling in 2 of the cupcakes we got but we had to dig to find it. I expect more from a $3 cupcake. The taste test was absolutely decadent and then the wedding day came and the cupcakes were as dry as sawdust. The owner assured us that the cakes were made that day. I must question that. Seems to me they were frozen ahead of time or over baked. The fillings we asked for were only in a few cupcakes but she said she saw every cupcake filled. The cakes themselves had no flavor whatsoever! When we brought all of this to the owners attention all she could say was I'm sorry but that's what you ordered. My absolute fave! When I'm looking for a decadent treat, I always stop at Cupcake Couture. My favorite is the salted caramel cupcake but if I want it, I have to make sure to get there early- that flavor always sells out. The selection was very limited and we were there shortly after opening so I'm assuming this is all the make for the day. The store is super cute and definitely looks like a fun place for a little girls birthday party. However.... The cupcakes, service, selection, experience was a huge disappointment. I went in on the last day of the month and they already switched their menu to the next month so none of the cupcakes I wanted were even available! Additionally, their display case is always empty. They never have any of the cupcakes you want and quite frankly, they are dry and tasteless and are missing ingredients that say are in it. The keylime cupcake was supposed to have a nilla wafer crust and lime cake... It was missing the wafer crust and the cake tasted like lemon poppyseed and just bland. I called at noon to have 6 cupcakes put on hold in hopes they would actually have them set aside for me when I came in. When I got in, the baker told me she ran out of 2 of them and I would have to choose 2 different ones...
