The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. We had a very long conversation and learned a lot about their history, celebrity interactions, and received good reading recommendations. Now, here's the cherry on the sundae..... this bookstore has the cutest bunnies! Their names are Acorn, Moo, and Meatball. Who ever thought of incorporating these bunnies into the business is a genius! They make great talking points, the bunnies allow customers to touch them, and place smiles on everyone who sees them. The store can order you books they might not carry - I got Goggins book "Can't Hurt Me" within 2 days. When I went to pick up my book order, I stopped in the back room for used books and picked up a few sports biographies - Lou Gherig and Bill Russell. During the short time that we visited, I saw a walking tour explaining the history of the bookstore/area and a few people discussing the topic of the day. It wasn't too crowded the day I was there but it's not a huge place. Prices are on the higher side, but what you'd expect at a quaint local shop. I wish I had a place like this in my neighborhood (in Danbury, not Manhattan) so I could stop by regularly.

I was looking for a book, THERE'S ALWAYS THIS YEAR, and since I was in the area, was hoping I could stop by and pick up a copy. I called ahead and the staff could not have been more helpful. Although the system said they had a copy, they couldn't find it. Well, these folks searched up and down till they did and then called me back. That's A+ customer service. When I stopped by the shop was adorable. I hadn't known they do coffee as well and so had to enjoy a latte while I was there. I didn't get a chance to go upstairs, but I heard it's quite nice and the space for author events. Would highly recommend getting your books here. This place is what all bookshops should aspire to be.
